Because Holly is the hottest woman to ever walk the face of the earth. But I’m so screwed up, I can’t see that. I know leaving the military is the right thing to do, but I’m f**king lost. The Navy is my whole life and to go from active duty to a weekend warrior every other month in the reserves is killing me.

Jack - The Elite is part 1 is a contemporary romance with a huge cliffhanger, no cheating (thank god). Jack takes place two years after Boomer- The Elite.
Jack and Holly are having trouble in paradise, the distance and lifestyle changes after leaving active duty; both go through a lot to adjust, will they be able to save their relationship?
This is an emotional roller coaster of a read and I loved it!

This story was so freaking good. Relationships are hard. Really hard. And this book totally captures the results when things start to go bad. I've see other people lose their focus in life and it's hard to watch and frustrating to be around. The author has totally captured these emotions. Warning though...there is a HUGE surprise at the end. So here I am, impatiently waiting for the next book. I think that's the true test of a good book...you are so involved, you can't wait!

After discharging from the Navy, Jack "Boomer" McGuire finds himself unhappy with everyday life. Engaged to Jack, Holly can't help feeling herself spiraling when Jack is unhappy. Deciding that they need to take a break until they know where and what they want in life, Jack and Holly split up. Where does this leave them? Will they be able to work everything out?
This definitely comes with a cliffy warning and a warning to read the Boomer books. I understood Jack was trying to adjust to being out, but I do agree that he should have talked to Holly instead of bottling it all up and avoiding it. I really can't wait for the next book because I want to know what happens between them and if they manage to work it out! My big thing was I felt in the last chapter or two I would have loved to have some foresight on what Jack was thinking and how the plans to move cross country came up. Cannot wait for the next book in the series!

This book is a continuation of some sort to Boomer. Jack "Boomer" is a fighter pilot in the US Navy for many years now and Holly who he has been in a relationship with for about 3 years is an AF Fighter Pilot. Holly is very frustrated at the moment due to Jack not wanting to settle down quite yet. With him leaving the service he has been a bit depressed and just not ready to move on and settle down. They have their ups and downs just like most couples. This is a book has many different emotions for the reader to go through. some are funny, sad and depressing and it will bring a tear to your eye. I am waiting for their Happily Ever After. It's a good book and definitely worth your time. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book through their Advanced Reader's Copy..

His journey begins anew in this book of revelation, trepidation and heartbreak. Can he figure out what he wants before it's too late or will he lose the one thing he holds most dear?
Great start to a continuing series. this book however will have your mouth dropping at the end. Don't cheat! I can't wait to find out what happens next! This author can always get me with her stories, that is why I keep coming back for more. In this one Jack will take and capture my heart right away even though it belongs to Holly and of course I would say flying. Actually for some this will be a much welcomed novel because they have loved these two. You will get your heart strings pulled on this one also. it will also sizzle the pages from their heat. You also want to help Holly with them both seeing things differently. These two will take you along with them but not all will be answered.

Wow! Just...wow! After reading Boomer and Hollys story, then the updated in Player, you'd think these two were set for life...unfortunately that's no where near the truth. This story takes a more realistic twist and shows their troubles. Things that eventually lead to their lives drastically changing. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC from the author.

This is my first book by KB Winters and I must say I have been
missing out. This story is freaking amazing but you should read Boomer
first it will help. This book has it all and you will be pulled in from the beginning
and you will want to kill them both but they get it together. That's all I'm going to say I hate spoilers so I want spoil it for you. Get the book you want be disappointed.

Jack is back and ready to work....
Jack and Holly's relationship is battle they both have to fight. Their now engaged, but they both have hesitant feelings about it and are on the ice.
This was a great story and I loved it! I recommend you read Boomer First, but it's not needed. Reading Boomer just makes it that much better!

Holy smokes what a cover!! I knew that a cover like that HAD to have a super hot story to match the super hot guy!!

Holly is an accountant, she gave up her business to follow Jack to Germany. Jack is an ex US Navy fighter pilot. Holly followed Jack to Germany and gave up most of her business to do so. They are now back in the States, engaged and having trouble. Holly to re-establish her business and Jack adjusting to civilian life. They have ups and downs and Holly can feel Jack’s absence.

I received a copy of this book for a voluntary, completely honest, and non incentivized review.
What an emotional story. This is a story of Jack and Holly two years after Boomer. I felt like pulling out my hair with frustration with these two. I get that they have to go thru the motions but it's difficult on the sidelines watching. KB's writing style really allow readers to go through the ups and downs with the characters. Can't wait for part 2!

Something about this is rubbing me the wrong way. The series is good, don't get me wrong, but it's almost like the blame game is all on him, even with his own friend. I hope it gets worked out in the final book, but I'm not liking Holly very much. Past issues for her are creating problems that don't seem to be there and she's supposed to have it together and doesn't get that it's not all about her. Just don't like her very much.

I haven't read Boomer but had no trouble following the story in this one. I'm not crazy about this type of ending but I do think this one ended right where it should have and I can't wait to see what's next for these two. The book is well-written and the characters have depth. I was pulled in from the start and this emotional story kept me turning pages.

I have been waiting for this book for a while now and as always I couldn't stop reading from the first page to the last page. KB Winters is such a talented writer and knows just how to keep you reading every word in the book. Definitely not how I expected this book to end but I'm sure the next one will captivate me.

Jack has left the Navy full time and is struggling with what to do now. He can't seem to settle into a civilian life and is shutting Holly out. While Holly knows something is going on with Jack, her past insecurities come back to haunt her, and she begins questioning Jack's commitment to her and their future.

Plenty of romance, action and drama.
Jack got into an identitycrisis after he left the service. Not knowing what it is he want to do now he distances himself.
Then we get to read the part from where they first met. Turbulent times.
Two different stories that come together at some point but the people are in survivalmode, not really living.
Not really my sort of book.

Holly and Jack 'Boomer' are engaged but after Jack left the Navy's active service although still in the reserves, he's at a loss with what to do with his life.
Holly has noticed their relationship is suffering unless there in the bedroom. She wants to set a wedding date, He doesn't seem to want to commit.
What happens in the future.... I'm looking forward to the next part to find out especially after the surprise ending

OMG! This was a good read but really sad. KB knows how to write and give me characters that just reach out and touch me in a way that makes me want to jump into the story and become their friend.

OMG! I really can't believe that the book ended like that. I won't survive until the next book is out. I will go crazy.
I want more of Jack and Holly. I just can't believe that the book ended in a cliffhanger like this. Is there anyway I can get this book sooner? Probably not. I will have to get my mind on something else. At least I got to read Boomer. That will keep me sane for awhile.

This book is the follow-up to Boomer the Elite. While I loved Boomer and learning about Jack and Holly's story, I felt there was a disconnect between the two books where we had missed a great deal of important background information on their story. That being said, I still enjoyed reading Jack and cannot wait until Jack the Elite 2 comes out because this book left on a big cliffhanger. Enjoy the story but be prepared to be left hanging.

K.b. Winters knows how to entice and draw in her audience. This book brings back one of her all time most popular couples Jack aka Boomer and Holly and the dogs Hunter and Princess. I had to keep reminding myself that this is Part One and I know that she won't let me down . We find Jack out of the military and working for Aaron at the airplane museum and Holly working for herself as a CPA. They are engaged and living together in a house they have bought in Holiday Cove. Perfect right....you'd think so but how does the number one all-time pilot go from glory to plane mechanic and glorified tourist guide flying tourist up and down the coast and be happy about it. As Jack struggles with his present day issues and future Holly and Jack grow farther and farther apart. And about the only thing going for them is their sexual chemistry and that as always is hot as hell.
The emotional rollercoaster ride that .K.B. Winters subjects us too is a testament to her talent. You cannot put this book down.It has many old favorite characters and some new ones. It is hard to pick out a real villain in this book and we all have had time where ate relationships have gone through tough times and know that communication and love can bring a couple back together if they really want it badly enough. I love this couple and can't wait for Jack Part Two to see how the story end. You won't regret reading this book and I know you will have your fingers crossed for a HEA.
