Kathleen Brooks has been my favorite author since I read the first Bluegrass book she wrote. I have read all of that series she has written so far. I thought the character of Mallory Westin was very interesting. When I found out that Kathleen Brooks has a new series with Mallory’s story I had to read it. I loved it. The characters were well written. I loved following each one of the Simpson’s daughters. Mallory’s story was the best.

Even though I was unimpressed with the plot in the first book, my curiosity about what the author had in mind for the supporting characters led me to go ahead and get the box set. I’m glad I did, since the stories got better with each one. This is an enjoyable romance/thriller series with a lovable family of characters and lots of humor.

These are four amazing stories about a very close and strong family that are able to see that love makes them stronger. I love that you get to know each member however they each get their own story, with the others as supporting characters.

This was an excellent series, pure Kathleen Brooks, who has very quickly become my favorite author, tied with Diana Gabaldon. I'm waiting on tenterhooks for her next books to come out. Seems like both of my favorite authors are making me wait, lol. And wait, with bated breathe, I will.
