I've decided to read The Secrets of Droon series entirely for Christmas since i've been feeling a bit nostalgic. I want to be able to live a bit of the magic of being a kid and what beeter to help than this incredible series. I know that this series is for young kids but i feel it will still be great after all these years. A mysterious and dangerous adventure. It had action, depth, magic, emotion, frienship, adventure and hope. Many important things ocurred in this book and we discover new things also. You can really feel that something is going to happen, even bigger than what happened at the end, and that the battle between evil and good is coming to a peak.
We enjoyed this book as much as we've enjoyed the rest of the series. My 8-year-old was a little heart broken at one point in the book. Fun, easy bed-time read for my kids. Good writing and storytelling per the usual.
Pretty big reveal in this book but overall it was pretty boring
- julie pretends to be eric’s dad and catches neal doing genie stuff - Skeleton warriors were buried in a chest. But it was broken into and lit on fire - Hunting down shadowface - Neal goes back in time to find out history of skorth and why they are wanted - Triple charm to help disguise - Keeah is controlled by the coiled viper and tells the weakness of getting into jaffa city - Shadow face controlled sparr with a chant. He blasted ko and the kids off the ship - Shadowface’s chant is in a language only sparr knows - The dark part of sparr got thrown further into adult hood. So sparr was split when he became a boy - Old sparr absorbs young sparr to become lord sparr again

Oh man, this had a heart-breaking ending. The kids follow a character Neal names Shadowface and try to discover what he is up to while also avoiding Ko and Gethwing along with the Skorth.
It is sad that their new friend that they sort of trust is defeated. Small Sparr tried to save his life but the evil one beat him up. He was so pale you could almost see through him. When he was gone Eric was so sad he could weep over him.
