When Evie loses her way in the woods during a terrible storm, she is determined not to die. But snow and darkness close in and all seems lost-until a stranger finds her. Warm and safe at his cabin, she can't help notice how sexy her rescuer is, and things go from warm to scorching hot. But Nicolas lives alone on the mountain for a reason. And his secrets may be more dangerous to Evie than the cold.
Tiffany Allee currently lives in Phoenix, AZ, by way of Chicago and Denver, and is happily married to a secret romantic. She spends her days working in Corporate America while daydreaming about sexy heroes, ass-kicking heroines, and interesting ways to kill people (for her books, of course). Her nights are reserved for writing and bothering her husband and cats (according to them). Her passions include reading, chocolate, travel, wine, and family.
You're out, lost in the snowy wild when all of a sudden you're rescued by a mysteriously hot stranger. Of course being saved when you felt you were on the brink of death makes you appreciate living so you have sex with said stranger not knowing how the secrets of this recluse can and will stay with you for longer than that one night.
This is the first book, a prelude if such to what I assume will be the troubled filled romance of characters Evie and Nicolas.
I wish it had more, I have only read her one story so far and previews. I need to see if she has box sets with the whole series/story together. I enjoyed the book just wished/wanted more.
I received a free copy from the author and I'm willingly leaving a review Short story with a peak on steamy, and leaves you with an HFN and a tinge of fear. You don't expect anything, but there is a follow-up in the next book.
This story was sweet and not long enough to hold my interest. It was sweet and a little exciting. I liked it but wished it was just a little bit longer.
GREAT BEGINNING TO A WONDERFUL PARANORMAL ROMANCE !!! Broken Prime Series: Prime Series Author: Andie Devaux Designation: Prequel and Introduction to Prime Serial My Rating: Five Entertaining Stars***** Broken Prime is a delightfully entertaining 35 page prequel to Andie Devaux's Prime Serial. When I read this short story originally, I think it may have been part of a bundle but that was a couple of years ago so I'm not really sure. Although, the short story did not end with a happily ever after, I certainly did enjoy it and had high hopes that Devaux would continue the storyline....and she did with two more amazing follow up releases. She continued the serial with Book One, Prime Desire and concluded it with Book Two, Mated Prime. Neither of the three books should be read as a standalone read. However, I do recommend reading all three books in the series. It's a beautifully written paranormal romance that will warm your heart as well as tug on your heartstrings and one decision, I feel sure you'll never regret. One of the things I loved most about this story is the characters. I actually fell in love with the reclusive weretiger Nicolas when he was first introduced as the troubled brother of Erick, the weretiger Royal Prime in Devaux's Claiming Their Royal Mate Serial. And speaking of Claiming Their Royal Mate, it's another delightfully entertaining four book paranormal romance serial that's definitely worth reading. It was my very first time reading Devaux's work and I can honestly say, I was truly impressed with her talent but back to Broken Prime. This is the story of how Evie as a young college student and aspiring photo journalist becomes separated from her friends in the Colorado Rockies during a blinding snowstorm. She is miraculously rescued by a handsome stranger and falls 'prey' to his dark, dangerous persona. After one night of finding more than just comfort in the arms of the mysterious reclusive Nicolas, Evie realizes there are things in this world she never knew existed. Sadly, those are the things she will never be able to forget. Great beginning to a fabulous paranormal romance! I loved it!
I downloaded Broken Prime as a free novella from Amazon. This very short short story is intended as a prequel. The story started at 9% and ended at 63 percent, the rest of the pages are promo for other books. There wasn't enough story to gain any character development, or background to hook the reader--only a one-night stand which doesn't do anything to encourage the reader to pursue the series.
I really enjoyed this book and hope this is just the beginning of Evie and Nicklas. I have never been interested in shifter romance and now I can't seem to get enough of it
This book is very intriguing. Though short the series shows great potential. The characters are somewhat well rounded and the other is sound. As with all first books theater is room for improvement.
Great read, but way too short. However, I was hooked and had to buy the rest of the series. I hadn't hear of caregivers, but I like it. Much different than werewolves/vampires.
I have read all the royal stories. It is nice to meet another character from the series. The ending felt unfinished and I hope there will be more to come.
