It’s a play within a play…within a play! Miku’s been caught in the world of Burlet’s famous lost play, Crazy Night–or has she? Every clue she picks up only deepens the mystery, but as the curtains draw back, lies turn into truths…and betrayal turns into something else entirely. When Miku finally understands what’s really going on in the world of the play, she makes a fateful decision that changes everything. At long last, the truth is exposed in the final volume of this fantastical Gothic mystery!
i think the twist was kind of obvious if you think about how the character feels a bit "out of place" iykwim. additionally this volume makes everything SO blaringly obvious, it overexplains basically everything - while the first two volumes had the issue of underexplaining, this one def had the opposite still, a fun story for any vocaloid fan i'd say
So, the end of vol 2, had me rushing to read vol 3...but i got so confused in the beginning, I had to double check vol 2 just to make sure I didn't miss something. I found it funny really, because after a chapter you realize where are in the story. It was really good and I loved how it revealed everything. Honestly would love to see this as a movie or series. Have it a little more drawn out, showing off the mansion, the people, the worlds. It be really cool.
With the discovery of her true self and the missing page all at once the truth floods back to Miku as the final act opens up and the truth is revealed to the readers. With her own blood as ink (as she mentioned she would in volume 2 I believe) she uses her blank page and gives the story a new ending that can save those that cared so much for her. The famous playwright Burlet is exposed to light of truth as well as the final curtain begins to fall on this eternal night. Be sure to read this book if you want all the details to the conclusion of the Bad End Night. :)
My favorite part is actually not in the main story but in the bonus story at the end. Young Miku is so adorable, honest, and earnest I can't help but feel a flood of happiness seeing her try to cheer up the man on the bench. :)
While a fairly good read for its short length, it's not perfect. However the art does hold it up.
The info usually was presented in an appropiate manor with not too much being dumped at a time, however in this volume at least half the comic is a long flashback with lore dumps. While the mystery was pretty enjoyable and so was the ending. The whole story felt average. The characters don't really do much, which was my biggest gripe. The comic struggled to mantain it's large cast. I think the ending would be more powerful, if they fleshed them out more. I do like the gothic atmosphere it kept throughout, and of course the art, but the series still remains a 3. It's more focused on conflict and moving the story along than the characters. Which because of the conflict needed a bigger focus. I do think it works well with its 3 short volumes, and doesn't leave me too dissapointed.
I really liked this book! It had compelling twists, and it just comes together so well. The author did a good job of fitting everything into a satisfying end. If I were in the same situations the characters were in, i would understand why they acted like that. Not being sure of what’s going to happen is what I love about this series! I suggest they give more subtle hints about the reveal of the plot twist though. It’s a really compelling plot, and I enjoyed all the vivid imagery and the storyline. I would definitely recommend this to mystery-lovers!
The very first word i thought was ... "Wow, I didn’t see that coming." Three layered mystery. I thought it was just the (sorry if it spoils you) script but it was more than that. You know what I mean if you read it.
But the main character still miku and len. The others still bland. But that’s fine. The mystery it was well done
Overall this wasn’t worth the time. Loved the artwork and books one and two were great. But this ending... Gosh talk about how luckily everything just falls into place. Like they just needed to end the story in 3 volumes and they just wrapped it up in the most unimaginative way. I’ll definitely be unhauling these.
Great ending. Loved the twist. If you like Miku or mysteries (or both!) you will enjoy this short series. The art is beautiful and I loved the color pages at the beginning of each volume. 3.5 stars overall!
