I should have read this one first, so i could've had a background on Travis's life. However, i love Angel more then Emma. Good book over all.

Okay. I should not have been shocked by the ending, afterall it is called Losing Emma, but it stiil surprised me. I need to know more, but it looks like book one is not about Travis and Emma.

Travis is a half demon that sends off a vibe that makes others steer clear of him. Emma is the only person he has met that does not fear him, and actually feels safe with him. Soon they are falling into a very sweet romance. But it seems that Emma's family may have a secret, and it can come between them.

I enjoyed this story very much. It was a little less than 200 pages, so a pretty quick read. It does need some editing, though. I look forward to future books in the series.

Where the first book in this series is a little too much like "Obsidian" in the lux series by JLA, this book is the equivalent of "Shadows" in the lux series by JLA.
Not as well edited but same story.
Really hopeful I will find some uniqueness in the next book as this is just playing out to be a cheap knockoff version of lux so far.

O.5 prequel of the Divisa series. Takes place about a year earlier.

Because of her father’s job, Emma Deen, and her two-year-old sister Abigail, have moved from place-to-place. But she hopes their latest move to Spring Valley, Illinois will be their last so she can finish school in one place. What she doesn’t realize is that she’s attracted the attention of a mysterious and very dangerous neighbor named Travis who can’t stay away from her.

Small cliff hanger.

Footnote: 1) I know exactly how Emma feels since I have to move around a lot with my dad and unfortunately so did my kids. But we all got to be in the same high school all four years.

Fave scenes: Emma’s plan, Emma’s father in the kitchen and going to the dance.

I enjoyed getting to read about Emma in this novella and I just love Travis. At first I did not pick up on how Emma played into this story based on what I read in the first book, if I could do it over I would have read this first before Saving Angel but it was included at the end of book 1. Now that I know her connection to Travis and what role her family plays in all of this my heart is breaking for Travis and I am anxious to learn what is gong to happen next.

I’m not sure if Emma’s and Angel’s ‘voices’ are different enough. I felt like this novella repeated a lot of info that we already learned in the first book. There could have been so much more but alas no. I had a hunch Emma’s father was apart of the hunters since Emma’s family didn’t seem to miss Emma. Emma and Travis have a very dull relationship. It’s purely feelings. I’d rather had more substance. I am ready to get back to Chase and Angel.

It was “bleh”. It was some kind of rushed feeling. I expected to learn more about what was going on with Emma while she was missing. It was mostly what took place in the previous books from Emma’s point of view. I don’t really care about that, what is still missing is her training, the brainwashing, the organisation, more info on Divisa and demons.

I read it through because I suffer from “i need to finish it before I move on”. Hence why I am moving to the next book.

For some reason i am not a big fan of Emma and Travis story. I am actually coming back to read all of them after reading the rest of the series. I love Travis but i just don't get a good vibe from Emma at all. Worth a read as it is part of an excellent series.

A great read. I loved this story about Emma and Travis. Its has fantastic scenes that are heart pounding action that has you on the edge of your seat. The Author has great world building and I could picture as read the scenes in my minds eye. I would recommend this read.

Oh, Emma. My heart breaks for who you could have been.

Although I love who Emma becomes (a total badass), I can't help but weep for her. She was so full of light, joy and happiness and she was betrayed in the most devastating of ways, dimming her light and turning her life to ashes. Luckily, Emma is a pheonix and is reborn from the ashes, but the fact that she had to be is so damn infuriating.

I adore Travis and respect the hell out of Emma, so I was happy to get more background about their story. Definitely a must read for fans of the Divisa series!

Even though it was a short book, it was nice to read how Travis and Emma connected. Just hoping she's not brainwashed now by her dad and the Hunters when she comes back.
