Novella sequel to Forged in Fire: When Matt Culver first laid eyes on Dara McKinley he knew she was the one. He and his beautiful fiancée have been through a lot to be together, and have headed to Hawaii for some much deserved down time. But Matt and Dara both have service in their blood, and before long they are helping out at one of Delos’ local charities for mothers and children. Dara is in her element helping the mothers and babies, while her golden-eyed warrior shifts into full protector mode when a local gang threatens their idyll.

I was always a risk taker and broke mustangs at thirteen years old in Oregon. I learn to break them with love, not threat or pain.
At 17 years old, I picked night-crawlers (worms) out in our Oregon orchards from 9pm to midnight, every night. I earned enough money to buy my school clothes and book. I also plunked down $600 to a flight company at the Medford, Oregon airport and asked them to teach me...a girl...to fly. I soloed in 12 hours, which is average. From that time until I left for the US Navy at 18, I had accrued 39 hours of flight time in my Cessna 150 single engine airplane.
I was in the US military and was an AG3 (weather forecaster). There was no airplane club, so I couldn't fly when I was in the Navy. But I could look at the clouds in the sky ;-).
Later, I flew in a B-52 bomber for a day and night mission (18 hours total), a T-38 Talon jet, USAF, where I was riding in a "chase plane" on a test flight in a Dragonfly jet.
I was one of the first AFLA (American Fencing League of America) women fencers to fence with epee and sabre. These weapons were closed to women because they were too 'heavy' for a female to handle. I said baloney and fought the males and won half my bouts. I was part of a surge of women fencers on the East Coast in the 1970's to push for equality in the sport. Together, we changed the sport and changed the mind of the men. Today? In the Olympics? Women now fence in foil, epee and sabre, thanks to what we did as a vanguard showing the world it could be done.
I then became a volunteer firefighter when I was a civilian once more, the first woman in an all - male fire department in West Point, Ohio for three years. I became a local expert not only in firefighting, driving the engine and tanker trunks, but also had training in hazardous material (Reynoldsburg Fire Academy, Columbus, OH).
My books always reflect what I experienced. If you like edgy, gritty, deeply and emotionally intense love stories with sympathetic heroes and heroines, check out my newest series that will be available mid-Oct. 2015, and it incorporates much of what I have lived.

The Delos Series is a collection of books whose characters jump off the pages and go straight to your heart. Never Enough is the continuing story of Matt Culver and Dara McKinley, who were introduced in Forged In Fire. With Matt as Special Forces, working Black Ops and Dara as a Pediatrician, meeting in Afghanistan changed their lives in ways they could never have imagined.
After returning to the states and a visit with Dara's family, Matt and Dara head to Hawaii for a much needed vacation, before he heads back to Afghanistan for his final two months of duty.
I just finished reading this and OMG, I'm still fanning myself! Ms. McKenna has an amazing gift for writing sensuous alpha males and the women who are loved by them and who love them as passionately, in return. I believe it takes great courage to love so openly and to be able to express it exquisitely.
The descriptions of Hawaii are a delight and through them, I can smell the flowers. I highly recommend reading this! Kudos ~ Bravo

This book chqnges my view of Dara. To complain that Matt doesn't give enough to the relationship then to use the vacation to work was counter productive. Plus my sense of this book was she just wanted sex not the marriage or to use him. For her to still worry at this point in the book and oh i baby solves it is BULL.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This was a wonderful read. The love that Matt and Dara have for each other is amazing. She is a strong and compassionate woman but seeing this harden military man open himself up to the woman he loves tugs at the heart. Highly recommend this book and the series.

Emotional
See characters again Matt and Dara. You could read alone but better if you have. Lot of love scenes. Makes me want to hug and help some too. Like Delos series so far.

I love this series. The strong sense of family and camaraderie is astoundingly beautiful. Great cast of characters with awesome plots.

Love all the Delos characters. Lindsay McKenna knows how to write and that keeps me buying all her books.

These books aren't long enough to have a decent story line. And it is no big deal that Dara helps out at a foundation and the "dangerous " gang is not even in the picture!

Love them.
Lindsay has the most amazing ability to make her stories so well loved. I know I have read some over and over. Taking Fire, On fire and Running Fire are three of my personal favorites. I thank her for her insight. Helane
