I got this as a freebie audiobook. It surprised me that it is still considered a picture book even though we can't see any pictures.
The imagination runs wild in this book, trying to get a child to think of the best pets for them. All of the pets mentioned are imaginary or inappropriate.
The story is cute, but I think it would have been better with pictures. It would make a good bedtime story, though.
This book allows your young children to use their imagination in a fun and creative way. The author has given them fun word pictures that along with the great illustrations make exciting possibilities for your child to think about.

I just finished reading this story to my grandson. Although it produced a couple of giggles, he did not seem to enjoy it as much as others I have read to him. The illustrations are very cute and he did enjoy them. Unfortunately, this won't be one we read over and over.
