Really good insight, training the mind involved more than thinking not negative stuff, but to let the body and mind, work cohesively, through words of affirmation, yoga, exercise, drinking tea, mindfulness, visualization , and meditation

I was curious about some free books on Kindle and whilst the "You get what you pay for" rang in my ear about the second chapter in, I found myself wanting to pull out my hair and teeth. The lack of sentence structure is vastly apparent to me! Do not get me wrong, I am still in college and I have polishing that needs to be done, but I have read amazing books and I love Mindflness. This book made my skin crawl, and not in a good way! To believe they give this out and even have this information on their website. The atrocity of putting something out into the world like this is frightening. Alas, I had to put it down.

I felt as if I was losing some rather important brain cells.

This is my first book on “Mindfulness” and I feel it’s a pretty decent work for beginners as I couldn’t stop making notes. The book covers variety of topics like: Connection between Mind and Body, Breathing Exercises, Relaxation, Mindfulness, Meditation, Visualization and Imagery. It provides basic insights about these topics and can come in handy for those who’re just beginning to practice mindfulness techniques. Being a beginner, I am glad I came across these subjects as it enables me to kickstart my Mindfulness journey. It also gives me a chance to deep dive into these subjects later in life as I’m definitely looking forward to continue my self-discovery journey in order to keep my life progressing positively and peacefully.

Talking about the writing style, it’s pretty much average and needs a lot of editing and punctuation.

Making a note of all the BENEFITS of the techniques mentioned in this book:

1. Helps reduce stress, fear, negativity, anxiety, fatigue, depression
2. Improves the ability to live in the moment, to avoid conflicts in relationships, to control mood and emotions, to accept the situations that are not under our control, to overcome actions occurring in autopilot mode, to adopt a positive attitude, to perform actions without regrets, to analyze negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones
3. Improves self-awareness, posture, health, cognitive abilities, focus, physical and emotional health
4. Refreshes the mind, body and soul
5. Calms the nerves

Nice book

A nice succinct book. Things are presented in a more practical way. Mindfulness has been a buzzword and a solution to all stress related problems in the current fast paced world. This book can be quite handy for people who are struggling to start mindfulness activities in their day to day routine. This book provides simple and the most impactful techniques to declutter our mind and destress ourselves, which are quite a bit of a necessity. I would recommend this book for anyone as a quick read to start practicing mindfulness.

I think it had some clearly laid out and useful tips in there. Simple explanations and it got to the point. I liked some of the exercises as well. Some of the concepts however seemed repackaged. For example in the book they talked about something called the "As If" Principal and it meant that if you feel sad you should act as if you are happy and hopefully you will then feel better. In my head it sounded like the common phrase "fake it till you make it" haha! Didn't need as much explanation as they gave. Anyway overall a solid read.

ok so i wrote notes for this book and wish i didn’t bc that means reading this took longer than it would have if i had just sprint read it

a lot of this just felt like common sense

also felt rlly disorganized which was annoying since i was taking notes

the only thing i did like was the form/ review after each chapter; i like the idea of them getting criticism even tho they need a lot to make good changes

This book is written by - hang on to yourself - the 'Howtorelax blog team.'

This tag is used while deploying the first person in the text.

This is a book that talks about breathing, the difference between the 'mind' and the 'brain,' and - yes - the Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Obviously...

No. Next.

This book read like a term paper a college student who is majoring in psychology wrote. One that didn’t earn an A. Nonetheless the book has some important concepts and practices everyone could benefit from.

Trite and predictable concepts

It's an less average book. Repeated concepts mentioned in the book "the secrets".

first Half of book is good but second half is dull and boring.

Basic, simplistic, yet valuable. Editing leaves a lot to be desired, but I find grammar and misspellings a lot in digital books lately. This booklet has all the basics that we know about being mindful, with some exercises. I think it’s good to reiterate the same life lessons from different sources.
