Maggie Mundy lives in Adelaide, Australia and is a member of Romance Writers of Australia, and the local chapter SARA (South Australian Romance Authors). She has also performed for many years in corporate entertainment for which she wrote her own sketches which probably explains why her head is so full of characters. She loves writing romance but thinks falling in love can be scary, especially in her stories where creatures of the night really exist.

This book was truly an adventure!

While it is absolutely a paranormal (vampire) romance, it reminded me of an epic fantasy adventure; being transported to a strange world with no shortage of unusual characters, magic and the ever-present threat of death.

I enjoyed reading Clare's character. She has a somewhat sarcastic sense of humor, which is right up my alley. Without spoiling anything, I almost felt like I was experiencing everything she was, both emotionally and physically, throughout the book.

Trevi was also interesting to read. He is a vampire unlike any other I have read before. In fact, the whole myth and superstition surrounding vampires is entirely different than what we know it to be.

While the ending wasn't really a cliffhanger, Maggie certainly left it wiiiiide open for the next book to pick up where this one left off. I have a feeling the next book will have us rethinking what we know of vampires and werewolves! Once the entire series is finished, I'm betting it's going to be one awesome read!

World Change is the first book I have read by Maggie Mundy and it won’t be the last. I found this book very unique and intriguing and I loved the Australian charm of the authors voice. There is suspense, new worlds, parallel universes, vampires werewolves and romance. Lots of sweet, sexy romance. I loved that the most.

Trevi is an old one, in his world they didn’t call him a name, the ones that new what he was respected and feared him, the gypsy’s referred to him as an Old One, and the people that feared his kind called them Bloodsuckers. In Clare’s world ( our world) he is called a vampire. Luka is a werewolf. Together Luka, Trevi and friends they meet along the way, journey to help get Clare back to her world. They encounter lots of danger adventure and they learn a lot about each other.

The story is fabulous. It is dark and has some gruesome parts, the romance and sex is hot but not overly explicit and adds a lot to the story and also helps to soften the darkness. Trevi doesn’t sparkle. He is a bloodthirsty vampire. He can’t help his nature, though he has a heart and tries his best not to kill. But DON”T piss him off! Oh! I absolutely loved the ending. Simple yet powerful.

I will say that at times a few things sounded a bit repetitive and I would have liked more information on the world, Trevi lives in and especially on how Sari came to be, but overall I loved the story and can’t wait for the next book in this series. Meanwhile I will be reading both Bloodscent and Hidden Mortality so watch for my reviews on them!

World Change was a delightful read. More than just vampires and more than just werewolves. It was magic and it was other worldly and it was a beautiful story of love, that wasn't a quick jump into bed type of read. It had a strong story to back it up, which I find more realistic even within a book of magic. Very enjoyable book.
