It is not surprising that under the label of national security the cryptocracy should seek to control minds. Nor can it come as a surprise that the cryptocracy (always in the vanguard of technology) should develop efficient methods of mind control. But that the legal machinery of the Constitution of the United States should become so fouled by the practitioners of psycho-politics can be experienced only with the outrage one feels at a case of rape, for it not only represents the rape of law and democratic values, but also the rape of heretofore inviolate recesses of man—his mind and soul." - W.B.

Having the slightest interest in mind control, what it was all about, and having a strong desire to know once and for all if it was for real or not - I read this. This book shocked me which is hard to do. After reading this, there is no denying that mind control technology exists, and has existed for a very long time. The implications are terrifying, yet also explain many recent mysteries and conspiracy theories throughout the past several decades. A must-read for anyone even slightly interested in such things. You will never see the world the same way again.

One of the best books out there when it comes to the topic of mind control, covering the history of, the various governmental, military and CIA programs and experiments that came from them, the use of those under varying types of mind control in operations etc. If possible i would advise those wishing to read it to try and get a copy of the researchers edition

Almost vintage today, well documented and a vital exclamation mark about what powers unchecked will always lead to.
Written first in 1977, Bowart does a good job of lining up first person narratives with by that time declassified files about the absolutely most bizarre fields of focus and practice of the secret services business.
All well researched and known today, but in his time the first senate hearings started about so-called national security clearance projects and a lot of inhumane practices were evidenced and had to be acknowledged officially.
In this day of Snowden and the hunting party after him and his ilk, not too surprisingly nothing seems to have changed.

Having wanted to read this book for many years, and finally having it and getting blown out of my mind... I think this is one of the most important works of our time which, should never be underrated nor hidden from society. Personally, it cleared the foggy parts and filled in the gaps I had on the subject matter. Definitely a collector's item.

This was indeed a spectacular account of events which will shake the readers as they reach the end. I started this book long back as a research for my own novel and I was just mind blown by the first few chapters. USA, The American dream and what not, things we have heard from time to time, which showcase's and portrays the west as a superior and safer country will all be shattered once you step into this book. The concept of illuminati may be a modern day word to begin “cryptocracy”. I just cannot fathom how a superior nation with the best minds of the century wanted to actually not let the next generation to think on its own! Therefore without spoiling anything at the least, if you’re a fan of non-fiction books and theories as stated by George Orwell in “1984”, don’t think twice before jumping into this book.
The most surprising part is that, I came to know about this book from a Tamil Novel, “Nillungal Rajavae” authored by the Legend ‘Sujatha’ sir himself. He had written a story similar to “Manchurian Candidate” in the 1980-90’s, which makes me think, “Damn! No doubt Sujatha was a legend and one of a kind, he created stories which lasts for generations to come!”

This book + Streiber's Communion = The X-Files. It's factually suspect but an interesting sojourn through '90s era tinfoil hat era paranoia. It blends Roswell, LSD, the CIA, and Ronald Reagan's (alleged) sex slaves.

More of a 3 and a half than a 4 star read. Read about half of the chapters in full, skimmed the other ones. Makes you wonder what kinds of projects go on nowadays, but that's honestly not my favorite topic to fill my head with. There are plenty of points at which you think to yourself "couldn't there be other explanations for what you're writing about?" But still a thought provoking read.

Really terrifying book. Un imaginable truth. Any one can be hypnotised and used to do any task without their knowledge..people who read this just imagine what if u are being used by any hypnotist and still u dont know it, it will be shocking. But some pages of this book are boring.

This book was amazing. It filled in a lot of gaps about The Ultimate Evil and Chaos my two favorite books. My one concern was the author married Peggy Melon Hitchcock. The Mellon family were intelligence agents.
