Christmas is coming and it's time to get a full night's rest at the North Pole. Santa checks in on all his reindeer to make sure they're tucked in for the night. All the lights are out, except one . . . Good night, Rudolph! Told in simple rhyme, this is a perfect bedtime story for children who just can't wait for Christmas morning.
Santa says good night to each of the Reindeer, his elves and the workshop, just like he's reading off his list. *Read until the final page for an additional deserved laugh about a special North Pole friend!
This adorable bedtime book has Santa telling all the reindeer, toys, elves, and even his sleigh "good night." The illustrations are so cute, and I loved that Comet has a partial solar system hanging over his bed, and Dasher was reading a book entitled "Speed." The text is very short sentences on each page. Suitable for pre-school children.

It is Christmas time at the North Pole, and Santa is bidding each of his reindeer goodnight. Following the tradition of the classic "Goodnight, Moon" the story is written in rhyme and farewells are offered to North Pole objects in addition to the reindeer.
The main critique I have for this book is that it is blatantly unoriginal and therefore rather dull. The artwork is very nice and for those looking for an uninspired by fairly likeable Christmas picture book, this is the one for you. The rhyming pattern will make the story appealing to younger readers, but there is absolutely no "zing" to make this book a classic or even a real winner for the holiday season.
A focus on the reindeer doing their thing prior to the big day of Christmas. However if I read in the book I would not of known that. Only by reading the flap of the jacket cover did I discover this was not the evening of Christmas but just before. Short text and comic like pictures, will make this fun book to share with young listeners.
Santa wishes his reindeer goodnight in simple rhyming text reminiscent of Brown's "Good Night Moon". The illustrations are fabulous, giving us a glimpse into each reindeer's personality. This is a wonderful seasonal story to share at bedtime or at the end of a holiday themed Storytime.
