Press Here! Reflexology for Beginners: Foot Reflexology: A Practice for Promoting Health

Rate this book
Originally practiced by the ancient Chinese and Native Americans, Press Here! Reflexology for Beginners shows how to use massage pressure on the feet to heal holistically.

Every part of your body has a corresponding reflex point on the feet; applying pressure to these specific points, you will naturally and non-invasively send relief to the corresponding part of your body. It's no wonder that reflexology has become one of the most popular alternative forms of healing. An overall healthy lifestyle is a huge part of staying healthy, but the powerful touch of reflexology will give you a leg up in the health department

While the principles of reflexology are simple, reflexology charts can be overwhelming for the beginner. Press Here! Reflexology for Beginners gives a clear explanation of where to find the reflex point on the foot, how it relates to the body, and how to apply the correct pressure for the strongest effect. Organized by reflex points from the top of the body to the bottom—one at a time on a double page—makes this guide a breeze to follow, and a fun and easy way to explore the art of foot reflexology.

The Press Here! series offers contemporary takes on traditional hands-on healing practices for a new generation of practitioners. These introductory guides feature easy-to-access organization, clear instructions, and beautiful illustrations of each technique. Other Press Here! topics include massage, reiki, and acupressure.

Reflexology is a non-invasive, natural, approach to health which activates the body’s self-healing abilities. It brings the body into a state of deep relaxation where healing can take place. I am extremely happy with this book that I now make a difference in what I do. Very well written book with instructions to follow that are detailed for you. I would highly recommend this book to add to your library at home.
I was given this book from Quarto for an honest review.

This is such a good guide for beginners like me. I am so happy it exists, it taught me a lot. And the art is amazing.
The only problems I have with it is that a) the tips are repetitive, they are basically the same for everything, so I don't understand why they aren't written together in a short chapter at the beginning, b) the advantages listed are not really thought-out so well, I would like it if they would be written more in-depth and c) the letters are really small, like really really small.
Anyway, these are my thoughts. Bottom line, I loved learning about reflexology through this book.

Leuk boekje.

Stefanie Sabounchian has offered simple approach to massage pressure techniques to the feet. Although it targets beginners, all proficiency level practitioners stand to benefit from her illustrative contents except the technique of its respective reflex point.

Love Ailment Directory for quick reference to the reflex points for relief. Superb reference for everyone!
