About the author

Founder of Slayer Magazine (1985), and Head Not Found. He also was co-editor of a local fanzine called Live Wire before founding Slayer Magazine. Jon Kristiansen is best known for his contributions to the early Norwegian black metal scene, through his zine and label, and being in contact with all the core members of the first Norwegian black metal movement. His label also featured metal genres outside of black metal, but the majority of the bands were Norwegian in origin.
