Robert Henseling is an actual astronomer and writer of non-fiction and it shows. Despite the limited amount of scientific data (compared to today’s knowledge), Henseling wrote a small book on everything people knew in 1924 about Mars, also touching the channel/canal controversy, while always remaining on the rational side.
Fascinating read for everyone interested in history of astronomy and planetology but also in common views on Mars of its time.
