This was my freshman English composition textbook ... and it was taught by Dr. Redd herself!
She was an excellent teacher and I really enjoyed the essays.
I wonder if they have been updated? On the other hand many of the issues dealt with are timeless...

Read this back in 2005 for my English course at Howard University. Loved it. Truly a gem!
