I don't feel this book was as informative and scary as I thought it would be. When I read the story of the bus crash in San Antonio, I googled it so my Texan cousin might go for a thrill. This story was totally untrue and never occurred anywhere in the state of Texas. I was disappointed.
I never go into these books thinking that everything is 100% true or false… I’m more interested that some people might feel heard, some stories might get told, and if I can be entertained somewhere along the way…
This book succeeded with keeping me somewhat entertained, although I’m not too sure on the validity of the stories included. Yet if some happened to be true, even in the vaguest sense of the term… I’m thinking of those that experienced the incidents, and as always I’m especially thinking of any family members of victims ♥️
Stories are very recycled. Too little detail and too watered down to make the retelling rate a higher remark than "campy" or possibly "vanilla" story telling. If you are looking for something to keep you truly on the edge of your seat, follow the thrill seekers and ghost hunters to another destination because it's really not here. Up side, it was a quick and easy read.
There were certain indications in many of the stories that made me doubt the "true" claim for these stories. For instance, in the story about the Texas school bus, there are details offered that, given the supposed circumstances, no one could know. Still, most of the stories were interesting. I was not scared and the stories definitely didn't keep me up, but I thought the book was fairly entertaining.
Very good book. Really enjoyed. I love stories that are straight to the point about a subject and do not drag on and on. I also like that these stories were short and understandable. Great job Mr. Gregory!
Good short concise ghost tales. These are quick and easy to follow paranormal stories. I would also say that this books is excellent for young readers who want a bit of a scare because it's not too graphic and not too dark!
