Us Against Everybody: A Detroit Love Tale

Rate this book
Love is a funny thing. Without notice, it creeps up on you and takes over every rational decision you make. Without thought, you're willing to do whatever necessary to be with the one who's stolen your heart. Even if that means risking your life, and being cut off from family in the process. And for Vice, that was a loss Storm was willing to take. After giving up on finding true love, the handsome and captivating, Vice crosses the threshold of Storm's heart. As destiny would have it, the couple contributes glee and cherishing moments to each other lives -putting an end to the doubts surrounding their union. Nonetheless, naysayers and skeptics couldn't be more furious of the doting couple. While the two are building one another up, their enemies are plotting to tear them down. Death, disloyalty, and animosity fuels the schemes against Storm and Vice, but the two aren't going down without a fight.

Storm is my girl

Storm is my girl. Her parents were too hard on her. I applaud her for standing up to her father. Love is love and you can't help who you fall in love with. The heart wants what it wants. Drama, drama, and more drama. Her and Vice against the world. Will they let her parents tear them apart? Hmm, we shall see. Part 2 please.

Great read

Loving this storyline. Proud of Storm with how she stood up to her father. I have a feeling it's going to get worse with that situation. Love always prevails, but will it in book 2? Miss Candice I'm loving this so far!

Typical d-boy read... Nothing stood out for me with this one. Vice was running in the streets beefing and meets Storm who's "different from the others" as they all say. Nothing about the little time the two were actually a couple pulled me into them either way. The author tends to make male characters feminine and that puts a hold on the read.

The hands in his back pockets has me waiting on him to puff his breast out and smack on some gum or something. Jai falling as hard as she did was predictable from the second she let the guy talk her into stripping. Not sure how Vice is running anything in the streets with as many problems that he's having but I'll follow the next one.
