Emotional with an erotic edge, the Montgomery Ink series is ready to roll with heart-pounding drama and heated sparks ready to ignite. Between tattoo shops, construction companies, and lost loves, the Montgomery family is going to leave a mark.
Forever Ink – Montgomery Ink Book 1.5
Callie Masters loves ink. After finally getting her own chair in Montgomery Ink, she’s ready to start being a full-time artist, rather than only an apprentice. Morgan McAllister is old money, old connections, and recently, has been feeling just…old. When he goes in to get his full back piece done after years of putting it off, the bright-eyed younger woman with the sly smile catches his eye. Between conniving family members, blondes with too much time on their hands, and their own misgivings, trust in the bedroom—and out of it—won’t come easily.
Tempting Boundaries – Montgomery Ink Book 2
Miranda Montgomery is Decker Kendrick’s best friend’s little sister. And if there is one cardinal rule, it’s to never fall for the girl that is totally off limits. Only Miranda knows what she wants, and Decker isn’t as strong as he thinks when it comes to staying away. When Miranda is put in danger, Decker will stop at nothing to keep her safe. And might just risk everything in the process.
Harder than Words – Montgomery Ink Book 3
Meghan Montgomery-Warren married the wrong man once and refuses to make that kind of mistake again. Only when her former best friend, Luc Dodd, moves back into town and reenters her life, she doesn’t know what to do. Luc watched her walk down the aisle once and hated that he left because of it, but now that he’s back and there’s a new danger on the horizon, he might take the chance he didn’t before and make Meghan his.

Three love stories about the Montgomerys. Book 1.5: Forever Ink - the love story of Morgan and Callie. Book 2: Tempting Boundaries - the love story of Miranda and Decker. Book 3: Harder Then Woods - the love story of Meghan and Luc.
I'm late to reading Ms. Ryan, though I have been a newsletter subscriber for years. That just means I have her huge backlist to binge-read and listen to, though! Lucky me!!!
I do not know why, but I love this series. This is the second box set I bought, and thoroughly enjoyed. As always with Carrie Ann, it has strong characters. But I am still not tempted to get a tat!

This box set is the way, to go if you want, to really get into the whole, Montgomery Ink vibe. Each book can however be read as a standalone. I happened to get a book with many authors within it. Carrie Ann was one of the authors and the book was telling Decker and Miranda’s story. I was hooked. Because I have Kindle Unlimited she was offering, Austin and, Sierra’s story. I blew right through it and was thirsty for the next book. Thinking let’s look at box sets if there is nothing on unlimited. When I happily find out I have this one in my TBR list of books already on my Kindle. YAY, me!
My favorite of the three stories offered in this set is Meghan and Luc’s story. First and foremost, we find out that no matter what, Luc is Meghan's best friend. He loves her, or should I say, is in love with her. But, regardless he knows, he can not force what he feels, on her. So, he’s willing to win her over. And, considering her whole family knows why he left almost ten years ago on the day of her wedding. Making it easier to transition back now that she is divorced and single, although struggling.
There are so many, mini-fires starting, and before the blaze can get out of control, in a blink of an eye the problem is solved. She has the children not only dealing with the divorce, but with having, to move. Not to mention, having to have a babysitter, because their mom is now having, to work. Their dad’s been gone, for over a year and still, has not bothered, to visit his children.
Then, poor Luc is dealing with his older sister, Tessa who never liked, Meghan but now, despises her. The reason she feels this way is, Meghan made her brother move away from home. She is the reason he stayed away, for so long. Not only does she talk crap about, Meghan, but she continues, to do it. Even, when Luc explains, that Meghan never knew, how he felt. Because he never told her. But, she keeps on, each time getting worse than the next. Until it comes, to a head.
The ending is a tear-jerker. It has all the feelers coming together so, grab a tissue. There is an aha moment that, Meghan shares with, Sasha her daughter in regards, to the two kids playing princess and knight. Cliff didn't feel like playing. Sasha wants, to know what she did wrong...
Callie and Morgan; Miranda and Decker, and Meghan and Luc.
Luc is only mentioned as being Black in the most surface of ways… sad. Especially given the secondary character who is written as stereotypical. Meghan has the kind of first marriage that suggests therapy would be reasonable, but nah. The kiddos are cute, but a major part of an interconnected storyline got short shrift, and that boggled enough to have me poring over previous installments.
Miranda and Decker were decent enough, but his self-loathing and her issues at work are frustrating in that they blow up as conflicts in the final act, late in the game, then dissolve into nothing for the HEA.
Callie and Morgan make the most sense as a couple. His “world” clashing with hers is contrived, and yet the novella somehow skirts the boring-ness of the tropes through the characterizations of both Callie and Morgan. The best part as usual is the huge family.
If you have never read any of Carrie's books then why the hell not. Once you start you can't stop, they're like an addiction, you read one book then the next then the next, you get it right, you just won't be able yo help yourself. I don't do normal run of the mill reviews, the author can do a much better job than I could ever do,in their book blurb. So if you love hot, tatted Alpha men and strong sexy women and steamy sex then Carrie's book are a must. I dare you to read them then tell me if I'm wrong. Carrie I don't know how many times I've re-read your books, not counting but girl you do it for me everytime and I thank you for keeping me up all night ...in a good way.
I do like the series, be it Montgomery Ink or Inc; this boxed set contained 2 full stories and one shorter one. All of them were easy to read, with very loveable protagonists, strong women (well maybe they don't start out strong, but just wait!) and rough looking but gentle men. The villains are hateable, and the plots are great, with enough twists and turns to keep anything from getting boring or "the same old". A good narration rounds this up very nicely. All in all, the series is highly recommendable if you like unlikely couples, a bit of drama, and happy endings. A bonus is that although there is a read thread through the series, each book can be read as a standalone. I am definitely getting more of this author.
have always loved the Montgomery clan. I love how all of the books are interconnected and show how much the family loves, respects, and are loyal to each other. I have not read not one of any book involving the Montgomery clan or any one of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books for that matter. Carrie Ann Montgomery is one of my favorite authors but the Montgomery clan will always be faves of mine. Carrie Ann is a wonderful write that can make you laugh, cry, want to cheer, want to yell at characters (internally as well as occasionally outwardly lol), and have so many other feels. You always know when reading one of Carrie Ann’s books that you are in for a ride and will definitely be feeling everything written in that book.
Three book set, I read the first and the third (I'd just recently read and reviewed the 2nd book in this set). The first book was a bit much for my vanilla tastes. I didn't mind the age difference, that was pretty great how they worked through that. But the Dom/Sub parts were too much for me, and his family relationships were horrible. The third book was really well done; I read about Meghan in book 2 and I was excited to read about her and Luc's relationship. Again, there are some pretty adult themes, including domestic abuse, and some violence. Lots of relationship conflicts and resolutions, and a great HEA.
That's 4.5 Stars! Carrie Ann Ryan writes some of the best stuff out there for contemporary romance. Her Montgomery Ink series is super hot and full of great characters that stay with you throughout the series. Harry and Maria Montgomery had 8 children and took in strays. Their children gather in more and have some of their own. Some work in the family construction business and some work in the family tattoo business, one's a writer, one's a teacher, and another a photographer. And life happens constantly! Blue collar living at its best! Highly recommended.
I love this series, it’s almost like a family saga but steamy. The stories is filled with love and passion but also struggles. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings Lots of good dialogues The author has managed to build a world with strong personalities and characters that are somewhat realistic. I have to read more. 5 stars for a series that pulls you in and then you never want to let go.
Three very intertwined, emotionally turmoil, and expressive stories that will grab your soul. These stories are heartfelt, sweet, and intriguing from beginning to end. Each story is one of the eight Montgomery children. This family!y is extremely caring, loving, and a pain in each other's butts. I love how real This authors stories are. Highly recommended for the mature audiences to read.
A lovely story for another three of the Montgomery's. These books will make you swoon with the deep felt love stories of this family. These books will keep you turning the pages and leave you wanting to find out the next family members story. Bravo to the writings of Carrie Ann Ryan a fantastic five star read.
This is a fantastic series ,so well written and great to become a part of the story. Can't wait to read more about them I'm a total fan .Carrie Ann Ryan is a talented writer who brings her characters to life so that it is hard to put the book down .
Choose these books because well have u seen the covers lol
Choosen as part of my kindle. Unlimited & I'd just just another ink shop set of books.
Thoroughly enjoyed all the trials n tribulations of all the couples and I'm always thankful for a happily ever after Just a pity the other books of which there are Many aren't included in KU 😣😢
While I liked the first two books in this set, I didn't LOVE Meghan and Luc the way I thought I would. Callie and Morgan were fun to experience. Good juxtaposition...same with Miranda and Decker (although I wanted to smack Decker a few times). I think o disliked Meghan because she couldn't get on board with Luc and I liked him a lot.
Being a part of this family is one anybody would be proud of. I loved being able to read about the 2 siblings and the friend in this package. The Montgomery family is filled with strong people who sometimes need the support of their family and friends to deal with the hard stuff. I look forward to reading about more of the family in this series.
I loved these stories of the Montgomery family! We got three wonderful stories with this box set. I loved Luc and Meghan, with Sasha and Cliff too! And Miranda and Derrick, they all waited for each other forever!! Love this series. I can't wait to read Written in Ink!! Griffin's story is sure to be great!!
So I'm looking in to the adoption of a old lady into the Montgomery family ...me. Hum probably not right . Since that's a no go I guess I will just have to read on. This is a awesome series with all kinds of little surprises and heart stopping twists. You definitely need to grab them all.
I loved hearing about each of the Montgomerys. They are an unique family and their bond together is what makes them so special. This is only a small part of the series and I can't want to read more.
So far I've read the first 2 out of 3 and i feel like it's missing something i do like the characters themselves. But the execution of the storyline/ writing is a bit meh for me like If I'm eating dinner and the meat is missing. 💔
