***THIS IS A STANDALONE NOVEL*** He was all I knew before I didn’t know him anymore… For eleven years, Riley Stallings remained completely devoted to her longtime boyfriend, Brian Shepard. In the beginning, nothing could put a strain on the newly loves—not even an unplanned pregnancy or her parents disowning her for it. But as time goes on, work absorbs Brian, leaving Riley at home, lonely and empty, to handle everything on her own. But then she meets him—a man who causes a gravitational pull and prompts the earth to disappear from under her feet. A man who makes her struggle to remember her name—her son’s new teacher. Knowing all relationships face difficult obstacles, she turns a blind eye and blames the lure on the lack of attention and fights even harder to fix her broken relationship. And then it happens… Brian presents an inconceivable challenge, derailing Riley and forcing new beginnings for everyone. Will their love be enough to weather the storm?

Overall Opinion: This was actually better than I thought it would be. I was in the mood for some big angst, but unfortunately I didn't get that here. Yes -- it was sad at times, but it wasn't an angstfest that the blurb led me believe it would be ;). That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it, because I did. I appreciated seeing a mc fight to make things work in a relationship even when things obviously aren't working, but she did tiptoe that line into doormat status at times because of her need to hold on. I definitely wanted to shake her at times! I also liked the H's relationship with the h's son. It was nice to see him just step in and be a good male figure for the kid, because it was obvious that he didn't have that at the time. I did have some big issues with the abrupt ending, because I wanted some more time with them as an actual couple before the epilogue -- but that's definitely a pet peeve of mine!

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Riley and Trenton's story. Riley has been desperately grasping to her ~11 year relationship with a man that she no longer recognizes. She has a son with him, but she feels incredibly lonely. After being disappointed in him yet again, she goes to her son's school's open house alone and this is where she meets Trenton. Trenton is her son's new teacher, and she is uncomfortable with her instant and strong attraction to him. As things continue to deteriorate with her relationship with her son's father, Trenton is there for support and to remind her that she deserves better. There is some big drama and life changes, some sexy times, and some sweet moments...and they do get a HEA ending.

POV: This was told is Riley's POV. I think it would've added a lot to the story to have some in Trenton's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good until the end. The end felt rushed and too clean for my tastes, but otherwise I didn't skim and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No, but instant connection/attraction.

H rating: 4 stars. Trenton. I liked him. I understood his issue that caused him to push the h away, so it didn't bother me. I liked his relationship with the h's son, and how he went for what he wanted.

h rating: 3 stars. Riley. I appreciated how she was loyal and wanted to work things out instead of giving up, but I think she should've called it quits earlier.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: Kind of

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: Yes

Cheating: Not IMO

Separation: Yes, but short.

Possible Triggers: Yes, but mild

Closure: This had an abrupt ending with the conflict being resolved right before the epilogue-- which I hate! It did have a cute jump ahead epilogue with a HEA ending though.

How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.

Safety: This one should be either Safe or Safe with exception for most readers depending on personal preferences.

OPEN HOUSE: This is spoken in Riley Stallings own words, at times it's very heartbreaking, but at other times it's crystal clear that she deserves better.

Brian and Riley met at a party, he was the best looking guy in the room and straight away she was attracted to him, they got to talking, a few dates, and a whirlwind romance ensued, three months later she's pregnant and thrown out of her childhood home by her parents and forced to live with Brian and his family because she has nowhere else to go, until they could rent their own place.

Brian didn't need a ring or paper to show how he felt about Riley so one night they said their own vows and declared their love for one another that way, in their eyes they were husband and wife. It wasn't what Riley wanted, when she was a young girl like most growing up she dreamed about the big white wedding but knew Brian's stance on marriage.

He was all I knew before I didn’t know him anymore…

I became an object, he became a ghost...

Fast track eleven years

Things are bumpy in their relationship, resentment and loneliness rears it's ugly head as he comes home later and later declaring work is behind schedule, fights are breaking out on most nights than not. And she feels like she's in a one way relationship, living with a flatmate who is rarely there emotionally let alone physically and it's not just her missing out but their son Lucas. Doubts cloud her mind where she's left questioning is he having an affair?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic You used to love me indescribably. You used to look at me with loving eyes, spoke with loving words. I was your everything. Now, I'm only needed for sex when you've had a rough day.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It's not until she meets her son's new teacher that she starts fantasizing about the what ifs?

Things between her and Brian change drastically one night which had a domino effect

Image and video hosting by TinyPic There's a difference between being alone and being lonely, but I never truly understood it until recently. I'm lonely, miserably lonely. Even with Brian in the same room there isn't a connection. There isn't a spark. Our friendship is lost at sea - our intimacy somewhere in a blurred line.

Slowly Trenton Lucas's teacher ingrains himself in their lives, he shows her what she deserves if she could only see what is right in front of her.

This was a quick emotional read, throw in a bucket full of angst, a hot teacher who was relentless in his pursuit for Riley and before you know it you've reached the end of the book. I loved how it progressed, the heartbreak you felt for Riley.

"Be the one to make you happy. Additions are always great, but ultimately, you are on control. Seek it. Cherish it. And hold on tight."

This book was my first book by T.C. Matson but definitely not last. It was fantastic. I really enjoyed it.

Riley is in a relationship with Brian for eleven years. They are not married and they have a ten-years-old boy, Lucas. She wanted to get married but Brian didn’t care or believe in marriage. Lately Brian lacks compassion and his words will only hurt her feelings. She learned to live in a one-sided relationship. She feels everything is repetitive and she does her best to change the situation. she really tries! She wants something new happen to her life and this something new is Trenton, Lucas’ teacher.

The characters were awesome. I really liked Riley. She is a wonderful mum. Brian didn’t care to spend time with Lucas or Riley but she does her best to cherish Lucas so he doesn’t feel his dad’s absence. Lucas is a really really good boy. Yeah, he is ten but he understands every thing. He is so funny. Brian at some point is a jerk but I can’t hate him! I don’t know why! I really tried but I just can’t!!! and Trenton is a great man!

5 Emotional Stars!

Let me start by saying this is one of those books that I believe a LOT of us will be able to relate to. I know I sure AF did! So much so that my feelings were running down my face while sitting in the dentist office! But I didn’t care! I just couldn’t put it down.

Riley and Brian were young and in love. Found themselves parents at an early age, but charged on. After eleven years together things do change. That’s a given. As Brian pulls farther and farther away, Riley tries that much harder to hold on. Then she meets her son’s new teacher, Trenton. Hello hotness! (They definitely didn’t make teachers like that for my kids…just saying! LOL) The chemistry is instantaneous and palpable between these two and they do strike up a friendship. I know what it’s like to want to feel wanted and needed, and even though she knew she could have that with Trenton, she didn’t give in and was determined to fight even harder for her relationship with Brian. I admire TC for writing such a strong character that doesn’t give in and cheat.

For me a good book is one where I enjoy the storyline and the characters. A GREAT book is one where I find myself so emerged that I can’t help devour every word. One where I can see myself as the heroine in the story because I relate so much to the character. Open House was a GREAT book for me. I have been in Riley’s shoes and I felt like TC Matson took a stroll through my brain and was like “Oh, look! I’ll write about that part of her life” lol. It’s not always pleasant to revisit old feelings from the past, but for me, any book that can make me feel like this one did is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!

Open House is definitely an emotional rollercoaster of feelings. It’ll make you smile and cry, make you want to throw some punches (or your kindle), break your heart and then put it all back together again. So, make sure you have your wine and tissues handy, because you’re gonna need them! This is by far, TC Matson’s best work yet and I can’t wait for more!

Loved this story!! Riley & Brian were high school sweethearts that had a 10 year old son named Lucas. They were very young when they had him and Riley was a stay at home mom while Brian worked.

Brian neglected his family by working too much and Riley tried to keep everything under control at home and being the superhero. That was until her she meets her son new 5th grade teacher, Trenton Bratcher. Trenton was infatuated the minute he met Riley. Riley respected Brian and never cheated nor flirted with Mr. B even though he made several advances at her.

Brian started coming around when he finally showed up to one of Lucas soccer games and met Mr. B. Brian saw the way Trenton was looking at Riley and decided to step his game up which made Riley very happy because she was still head over heels for Brian.

Then everything came tumbling down; Brian made a 360 degree and turned into the world biggest prick. Riley finally stood up for herself and never looked back. Brian continued being selfish and Trenton stood on the side and patiently waited.

I would have given this book 5 stars if it was dual POV of both men because at times I really wanted to know what they were thinking. But it was still a good book and I loved the ending even though it seemed a bit rushed.

<3 I am absofreakinglutely, positively, completely, totally and 10000000000000%+ in love with Open House. <3

Author - TC Matson captured the happiness, the fears and anxieties that go along with the stages of a relationship. Its raw and emotional and totally relateable. It opened my eyes in a way that's hard to put into words. The similarities to my own life were freaky, I sometimes felt as though the book was written for me. For the most part I was able to separate myself from what as happening; but there were parts that made it impossible to do so, causing some questions in my mind.

In an attempt to put it in to words.. this is what I got....the path has some new light bulbs, but the compass is still broken.

I didn't tear up until the very end. There is a passage written that is so amazingly profound I was in awe.

If there was ever anyone that questioned the talent of TC Matson, there will not be any doubt once you read Open House. It will blow you away...body, mind and soul.

Absolutely loved this book, couldn't put it down. Again TC drew me in and made me fall in love with the storyline and the characters. I really felt the emotions Riley was going through and that just shows how good TC is at what she does. She has a magic that just grabs you and sucks you in, it was an emotional rollercoaster and one that I would ride again and again. 5 stars just isn't enough, congrats on another fantastic book sweetie!!

“I’m lightheaded from the rush of euphoria. He tugs me back to his mouth and feathers a kiss on the side of my lip. ‘I can lose myself with you.’ He tugs my bottom lip. ‘Lose all self-control,’ he growls, nipping along my jawline.”

5 relatable stars!! OMG…. this book is perfection… pure, honest perfection!

 photo 5 Buttons_zpsu895julz.jpg

Do you ever read a book and think to yourself… is this book about me?? Did this author take notes from my life? I swear TC Matson hit me hard with this book. I have never read a book where it hit home so much, like this book did. (The only difference, my husband has actually opened his eyes.) This book shows you that not all relationships are perfect and things fall apart and while we’re on the ground wounded… there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and things will get better. My heart broke for Riley, she tried her hardest to keep her family together, take her and (Brian, her boyfriend who refuses to marry her) son, Lucas to soccer practice and school, keep the house together and make sure dinner is on the table every night. She and Lucas were essentially pushed to the side by Brian, but when Lucas’ sexy teacher tells her there’s more for her out there if she just opens her eyes (ahem, him). But is she ready to turn her back on a loveless relationship and be alone after 11 years??
I read this book in less than 2 hours… I couldn’t put it down. I could relate to Riley on so many levels… I’m the mom keeping everything together, taking the kids to school, keeping the house in order, making dinners, etc while the husband is out working God awful hours. Never has a book hit me so close to home, the way Open House did, and I loved every second of it! I loved that TC showed that not all relationships are perfect and there are problems. Bravo TC, you have a HUGE fan in me!! Go one click this book NOW

Going into this book I was expecting something a little different. I can't explain it but mostly I just assumed how it was going to go and end. I was completely amazed by how it turned out. It was nothing at all like how I had assumed it was so so much better.

Riley and Brian have hit a crossroads, one where they need to figure out whats between them and how to move forward. Her relationship with him was heart wrenching, sad, emotional, and very one sided. She loved him and she was fighting for what they had, and I felt her pain when Brian wouldn’t fight just as hard as she was for them.

Then comes Trenton, he knew all the right things to say and do. He was perfect and in some cases almost too perfect so in that I couldn’t let go of Brian just as Riley couldn’t let go either. But there came a time where she had to and that hurt for her and me as a reader. Riley however was perfect with Trenton, there love for one another was real and he was protective of her and her son Lucas. Trenton is just what Riley needed to make herself feel wanted, loved, respected, and needed.

I felt every single aspect of this book the broken heart of how things used to be, the desire to make those things like they were, the sweetness of something new and and the passion that that brings, and the closer of finally figuring out the future. I’ve never read a book by T.C. Matson before and I loved this book, not sure if her others are written the same way but I’d love to check it out because I couldn’t put this book down and when it was over I was left wanting more but also left smiling a little bit for Riley, because the ending was truly sweet and just the life that she needed.

I highly suggest reading this one, and it’s one of my first best of 2017 books, I’m sure!

"There is something between us and I want to know more about it."

Wow. I'm stunned.
Open House by T.C. Matson was a book that I was looking for.

"I'm going to give you my all. I want to make sure I'm the hardest thing you've ever had to walk away from even if its into the next room. I want to flood your every thought and appear in each of your dreams. "

A long term relationship turn sour.
You love your partner but aren't IN LOVE with them anymore.
Never home.
Doubts are planted in your head.
Is he at work? or with another women?

This is what Riley is going through. Brian was the love of her life, they have a son together. But things aren't the way they used to be. She doesn't feel loved or cherished anymore. Feels as if she is alone.

" I don't use words. I show you everything."

Doesn't know how much more she can take of this.
Until she meets her sons new teacher, Trenton.

He makes her feel wanted.
And things start to change, for better and for worse.

"Claim me, Trenton. I'm yours."

Riley and Trenton's love story is never easy.
They have to fight for what they want.
Especially with her ex Brian.

I really enjoyed Open House, it was a fun romantic read with just the right amount of angst! This being the first novel I have read from T.C. Matson, I am definitely going to read more from this author.

Dreaming in reality.... You dream I. Reality when you pick up a book and get lost in it. In my writing, I strive to take you to a place where reality and fantasy become a blurry line. Everything should be relatable. It could happen..... Couldn't it?~TC Matson

This is a standalone book. I was kinda sad to see it end. She sticks true to the quote above. This story could totally happen in real life. It doesn't seem far fetched. It's about finding someone you love, having a family and then realizing your settling. And that your SO is taking you for granted. At times I was like what are you doing woman. Run... there's no walking away from that she needed to high tail it outta there. And other spots I was like what are you doing just tell him the truth. It would have made parts so much easier. Lol but over all I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

This book was so sweet and loving, I really didn't want it to end. I could have read another 10 chapters about Trenton and Riley:)

After devoting 11 years of her life to her boyfriend (and father of her child) Brian Shepard, all Riley wants is to be part of a loving and happy family. But over the years things have changed. Riley and Brian have been growing apart and while she has done all she can to keep him interested, it's becoming obvious that Brian has checked out of their relationship. Determined to make their family work, Riley isn't looking for Mr. Right. But sometimes you find the perfect person when you're least expecting them.

I loved watching the relationship between Riley and Trenton grow throughout the book. Things got a little touch and go towards the end and I was worried about the outcome, but rest assured this book will leave you with a happy ending and a smile on your face.

I loved this book. It was an emotional roller coaster and not because it seemed far fetch or anything like that, because the book was so realistic. It's something that a lot of people can relate to and that touches you. I couldn't put this book down and ended up reading it in two hours.

If you're looking for something that's a bit different, something that isn't necessarily happy the whole way through, this is the book for you!

OPEN HOUSE...TC MATSON

I HOPE TC MATSON IS WRITING ANOTHER BOOK RIGHT NOW!!!!! BUT UNTIL WE GET IT, READ OPEN HOUSE!!!!

I "discovered" TC Matson, via Anne Mercier (who has never steered me wrong), and once I read TC's "The Fighter Series," she immediately moved into my Top 5 authors, so, I was having anxiety waiting for Open House....And even though this book was a surprise and a completely different type of book from her....the wait was SO worth it!!!
If you read her "The Fighter Series," you obviously know the woman can write, but if you are expecting a book, anything like those books, you aren't going to be disappointed, but you are going to be shocked and surprised....but in the VERY BEST of ways....
I want to relay the entire story to you, and I promise, if I did, you'd still buy it to read it for yourself....But I don't want to spoil this gem, for what I think is a great beginning to a different side of TC Matson...This book is intense and real and heartbreaking and the dialogue (although it is written in a single POV) shows us what's inside the heads of all 3 main characters, and we understand why each one is making the decisions they are making.....In my opinion, there are two Heroes and one heroine in this book, and one of the weird parts to me is, although I wasn't always happy with him, I never really saw what is probably suppose to be the "bad guy" Hero, as a "bad guy" at all, (I'd have to spoil the book for you to explain why I feel this way!!), but it takes a genius author to make that happen...The heroine was smart, strong, lovable, a good mother, and it wasn't hard to imagine more than one man in love with her, but, I was happy to see she NEVER CHEATED....and trust me, that couldn't have been easy, but the way TC wrote her part, it was neither surprising nor unbelievable....The second Hero, with whom I instantly fell in love was fantastic, although, one of the two times I actually teared up, cursed TC Matson and threw my kindle involved him and the heroine near the end, because he was breaking both of their hearts while doing what he believed was the right thing to do for both of them and their hearts ...If I keep going, I'm going to tell you about the book all of the way to the end, and you deserve to read it yourself.....You will be sucked in from the first page until the very last.....To me, this book opened a new chapter in TC Matson's writing, and I can hardly wait to see what she has in store for us next....I really think Brian needs his own book!!! Thanks, TC Matson, for another good one!!!!

Wow, this was an emotional read. The ups and downs that the characters went through unnecessarily was crazy. I feel Brian was lost, confused and feeling trapped. Riley just wanted to be loved and when she found true love, it scared her. Trenton was ready for forever but not ready for the emotional baggage that came with it.

This book was well written and beautifully told, however I just found myself getting frustrated with the characters and their lack of communication. A lot of drama could of been avoided it the characters were open and honest.

Weak heroine.

I despise a week heroine. And Riley is perhaps the weakest I've ever read. I can chalk it up to her being uneducated & never really employed having been a teen mom who bowed down to her common law husband....because he said so. Brian spoke to Riley with such hatred and disgust and treated her with such dismissal she was a fool for staying. How could Riley not see his pattern? Do a little investigative work girlfriend!!! April was a great friend. Although she should've pushed her friend a little more, especially since she was so savvy. I'm surprised she didn't suggest a PI or some personnel detective work.
Trenton was a beautiful soul. Riley tainted him with her stupidity. To me it's not a HEA when you decide to have another child when your first is already 16!!!!
I was happy to see Riley grow a backbone and get a job and start from scratch. Make your man work for your affection and forgive but never forget!!!

I had really wanted to love this story but I honestly didn't. For person reasons, I found the relationship between Brian and Riley extremely difficult to read because I've been there. I've been ignored, looked over, and used by a man claiming to be "in love" with me. So it was hard to see her try to be strong when she really wanted to fall apart. Super hard.

I've also been in the boat of emotionally cheating. It freaking sucks. You want to do right by your significant other but since they're not present for you on any level, you seek out someone who *WILL* be there. I admire her for knowing it, and even more so because she didn't actually cheat even when the opportunity presented itself.

I did like how everything ended up coming together in the end. I liked that she got a well-deserved HEA. But I honestly didn't like a whole lot more about this story than I wanted to. I didn't care for the exposition at all. It was so drawn out and she got overly descriptive so I found myself bored and skipping paragraphs. I didn't like that our main character had sex with two people even though she didn't cheat. I mean, she had sex with her SO (who used her, BTW) but then like not even a month later she's sleeping with this other guy? I know that it happens in real life, but that seems so soon and sudden and wrong.

Honestly, I didn't like how this book made me feel and I'm still trying to get over it. This is the most personal review I've ever written and because of that, I'm sitting here feeling these feelings that I thought I had overcome. This one just hit too close to home.

Riley and Brian started dating young and an unplanned pregnancy sealed their future. Eleven years together and Brian will not commit. To him marriage is just a piece of paper. Lately Riley has noticed a difference in him and yet when she confronts him he blames work. Four years of being ignored, work coming first Riley starts to demand things change.
Sadly Riley is a doormat. For one, letting him treat her the way he does for that long she should have high tailed it out of there. She just kept making excuses for him and then would turn around an apologize for his temper.
When she meets Trenton, her sons teacher, she has feelings that she hasn't had in years. She still wants to work things out with Brian so she pushes Trenton away. Brian gives her what she wants but then the next day is back to his same actions of ignoring her.
Brian's an ass and she should have dumped him years ago and she should have been spying on what he was actually doing when he wasn't at home.
Trenton I didn't understand how he could tell Riley he wanted her to chose and yet when she did he tells her it's to late. I didn't understand why he pushed her away.
Riley was to weak to fight for herself. She let both guys treat her like crap and never stood up for herself. I hate weak heroin's and they make the worst characters in a book. When they don't stick up for themselves it is hard to root for them. You don't care what happens to them.

It’ll make you smile and cry, make you want to throw some punches (or your kindle), break your heart and then put it all back together again. So, make sure you have your wine and tissues handy, because you’re gonna need them! This is by far, TC Matson’s best work yet and I can’t wait for more!

Have you ever read a book that just gives you so many emotions at once? I have read very few that gives me so many emotions at once.
Open House by TC Matson is a roller coaster; it was everything I wanted in a book and more. This is the first time I read a book from TC Matson and I can tell you this, this will NOT be the last book I read from her.

Open House is a story about learning how to live, leaning how to keep going even when you think everything has come apart.
We meet this woman who has had everything she wanted, she has her long time boyfriend, a son who she loves with all her heart, and she has love… so she thinks. When everything comes apart, she has to start how to live again; she needs to learn how to love and move on. Enter Trenton, a very passionate and hard working guy. He is someone who knows that in order to have a good life; you must dive in and take chances. Trenton makes Riley realize that not everything is over. Trenton and Riley have this amazing chemistry, a chemistry that just has you hoping for a love like that of your own.

Starting from the bottom when you were on the top can he hard, if you have everything you have worked so hard to keep taken away from you in a flash, life can be scary. We must learn how to keep walking even after we fall, and that’s exactly what TC Matson is trying to tell us. We must never give up on love, on new opportunities, and give up on life. Something new will always come to us, and we must learn how to take the pain and turn the tears into smiles.

Thank you TC Matson, this book amazing. I cannot wait what you have in store for us this 2017.

What do you do when the person you trust and love the most, let’s you down? Do you give up… do you close your heart from loving again? Or do you pick yourself up and keep going? For Riley, she wasn’t sure of her options…but she knew she had to keep going for the sake of her son.

Riley was a wonderful character…warm, loving, trusting and forgiving. Sometimes TOO forgiving. But she knew she deserved better.

Trento was the type of man all woman deserve. Strong yet sensitive. He is also man enough to tell Riley when she is wrong (which I loved), and also gives her the space and time she needs to deal with what she has gone through. He also doesn’t give up on her.

This author is a personal favourite of mine who blows me away with each book she writes. She writes with heart and her books will give you all the feels.

I HIGHLY recommend this story for anyone who needs proof that you are worthy and deserve better.

FIVE STARS.

I love this book. I love the dedication: " The sun always shines behind the storm clouds.
The night always gives way to the day. Stay Strong. "

Open House by T.C. Matson is a contemporary romance novel with a HEA.
Riley is the devoted girlfriend to Brian and mother of their 10 year old son Lucas.
But Brian is a workaholic with no time for his family. Riley is frustrated.Life is boring.
Then she meets her son´s new teacher Mr. Trenton Bratcher and sparks fly and fireworks exploded.
But both hold distance.
Afetr months of misery Brian wants her to leave. She builds a new life with her son. Trenton wants a relationship but Riley chickens out. They nearly break up.

Open House is soo good, I couldn´t put it down. I wanted to know what happens to the characters, but I didn´t want it to end.

I wanted to like this one more. There was a lot of unnecessary exposition, particularly in the begining of the book. It was a very realistic portrayal of a failed relationship, but it was just kind of much. I also felt like the relationship between our heroine and her first love took up too much real estate here. Also, besides chemistry, why did the H want the h? I don't get it. I really liked April and Lucas though. I liked Trenton, but can anyone tell me what faults he had? He was a little too perfect. Anyways! I think this was a case of it didn't quite work for me, but I get why others loved it.

Ok

If you enjoy a very mushy, sappy somewhat contrived, story, you will enjoy this book. Very fast read. Somewhat immature. Could have enjoyed this book more but it seems that the author was trying much too hard. The male character was just way over the top mushy at points. Some parts were too immature. I love romance. This just felt contrived. The female character needed more development. Also her husband kicked her out of the house along with their son. What?

I have cried

This book is not a happy go lucky fairytale romance. It's raw, real, and happens. I can't tell you how many times I got weepy reading this book. But I can tell you that this book touched my heart, and I loved it immensely. Riley isn't some badass chick. She's a woman trying to keep her life from falling apart. I identified with her, and think a lot of other women will to. Thanks TC!

This is TC's best work to date! It's emotional and gritty, raw and so very real. Life isn't always candy and roses. Sometimes life is that annoying piece of chewed up gum that sticks to the bottom of your shoe. Watching Riley finally scrape that gum off, watching her blossom, it's an incredible journey--one you SHOULD. NOT. MISS!

I absolutely loved this book!!!

I didn't really like the characters in this one. Except for the kid, Lucas. Trenton did have a few really good lines. But I skimmed quite a bit in the book. It kept me interested enough to know what happened.
