I'm not "damaged." No horrible childhood or demons in my past I'm trying to outrun. In fact, my family is ideal — funny, supportive and filled with couples that all follow "our" golden rule:

Find her. Protect her. Love only her, with everything you are, every day, for the rest of your life.

So why is it the mere thought of a monogamous relationship, more than one night with the same woman, sends me bolting in the other direction?

Because I hadn't met Bellamy Morgan yet.

When I do cross paths with her, everything starts to slowly make sense. Why men change overnight — suddenly blind to all women but her, happy to hold her purse and watch corny movies.

Just one problem — she's my little sister's best friend.

Okay so here's the deal. I struggled with this at first and here's why:

First off, everyone acted immature in the beginning, even the adults who are what? Around 40ish? They talked and acted like they were in high school but yet treated their kids like they were in elementary school. I mean come on, sending your 19 year old to their room like they're 5? It was just kind of difficult for me to process after the adults themselves acted immature.

Secondly, I want my hero to go after his woman and no one is going to tell him he can't, not even family. I want him to tell them to "Fuck off. She's mine".

Lastly, when dealing with a reformed manwhore I need him to be all about the heroine and sure she's the one right away, not thinking he's going to find the next coed at the bar and forget the heroine. (All these thoughts were because she was "forbidden" mind you) Now granted, that DID NOT happen and thank goodness because I'd have DNF right there. Once I got past all that, it picked up for me and I enjoyed it. JT became that possessive, dirty talking, alpha I love and a bit swoon worthy.
“I can fix all of it in your world. Bellamy, I want you safe. I want you happy. Blame my dad and uncles, but it’s all I know. When it comes to my woman, it’s my job to eliminate anything that makes her unhappy or could possibly put her in danger. It’s not my project,” he leans in closer until our noses brush, “it’s my pleasure. You are my pleasure. Gotta protect and pleasure you right back.”~JT

I liked Bellamy. I love how she was shy and a bit insecure but also independent. And though she was a virgin, (YES...the heroine is a virgin. She's 20 years old and a virgin...totally acceptable and understandable in my book) she wasn't clueless. But she was willing to learn. She found her "inner goddess" so to speak.

Now there was one incident that passed me off. JT gets mad at Bellamy and leaves her. He won't answer his phone or texts. She's scared it's over and hurt. While I understand why he was angry, he pissed me off that he hurt her like that. Now it all works out and they make up but he needed to grovel a bit more IMO.

But overall, it was a nice read...not necessarily spectacular but I enjoyed it. I'll definitely be checking out the parents' stories. And I'm looking forward to the other "kids". I hope Ryder alphas up though and I just know Sutton will be yummy...not so sure about Presley. I hope my opinion of her improves.

4 stars ☆☆☆☆

I so enjoyed this book! Bellamy (love the name) and JT were adorable. Definitely a light, low angst read. I even found myself laughing out loud in places. Bestfriend's siblings don't often work for me because it often seems that one is pining for the other, watching them date, etc. That was not the case because Brynne just met Bellamy in college.

JT had been a known "player" in the past but inner dialogue fills us in that he might not have been as bad as people thought. There were no scenes with OW. At one point I felt for him because his sister and his friend didn't have faith in him. I was glad that he was faithful and proved himself. He only had eyes for Bellamy and there was no other women drama whatsoever.

Bellamy was great! She was witty and spunky (not in a bitchy way). I was glad she gave JT a chance and didn't judge him by what others thought.

-great hero/heroine who we watched fall in love during the story- not instalove.
-sex scenes were very few. In fact, they didn't have sex until nearly the end of the book. Oddly enough, I didn't mind it. I enjoyed them falling and getting to know each other. (however, I would have loved more steam)
-epilogue- this is part of where my star deduction comes from. The epilogue was only a couple weeks out. No look into what becomes of them. I was disappointed. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I NEED epilogues. Even if they are mentioned in future books, it doesn't satisfy my need for the HEA. This was just a HFN ending.

The secondary characters were great. I adored this family so much. Although there was a time or two that I wished I had read the aunts/uncles stories, I didn't feel lost or out of the loop. There was potential set up for future stories -

Brynne and Ryder-looks like it has potential to be cute. Ryder was all about Brynne and she liked him as well.

Sutton and Presley - I'm not sure about their story. Presley seems ok, if not a little wild. Sutton was a manwhore though. He is JT's roommate and in one scene, JT comes home and Sutton has two girls at their apartment. JT clearly tells him he's not interested and Sutton was fine with that saying he'd take both - gross. There is not detailed scenes at all.

I haven't been able to get into many books lately but this one I definitely enjoyed. It was funny, sweet and hot with a fantastic hero and heroine. This book is a spin-off of the Emerge series which I also liked. I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series especially Presley's story. Recommend if you are looking for a really good NA read.

2 it's not you it's the genre stars. The book was ok. No cheating and the couple was cute. I am just beyond over the manwhore paired with the virgin h while gets it thrown in my face that he was a manwhore tons during the book and the first sex scene we get to read about how amazing it is that the h is a virgin and giving him that gift.....

We need to break up trope because I'm just not that into you.

Genre: college rom-com
Sensuality: R (only 2 sex scenes tho)
Ho-meter: H = manho. h = virgin

Manho falls for sister's BFF.

I read this bc it features the son of the H/h from Embrace (author's first novel). I guess it can be read standalone as it is a spinoff but lots of references to the previous generation ("The Crew"). LOTS. Frankly the mythizing of The Crew is a little . . . ok, TOO MUCH but I still had fun. I've always loved the author's sarcastic humor and it's on full display here.

SE Hall has a way of creating sweetheart characters, realistic plots, and steamy scenes blend into a consistently good time.

I really enjoyed the transition from “The Crew” to “The Squad” and all of the snippets of characters we’ve come to love. I’m going to admit something… I was worried. In the back of my mind, I wondered just how different the offspring would be… how from the apple would these children fall? I didn’t want to read stories with characters so similar that the only difference between them is in name alone.

Well, guess what? That was not the case. Each character, though not lacking similarities, is a definite individual; with quirks, speech, and interests all their own.

Okay, let’s get down to business: Embody.

A forbidden love? Maybe. A real one? Absolutely. JT and Bellamy certainly start of with fireworks explosive enough to set the field on fire (not literally, though that would have been hilarious). Of course, siblings are siblings and a litany of “damn it don’t do that!” moments screw with the readers heart, wondering if these two can just be left to figure things out.

Spoiler Alert: They are Kendricks, so, yeah right LOL

I really liked how Hall kept the story on the sweeter side of life. It was nice to just have a good story without an overabundance of drama – it’s just real life love. Plain and simple, but fab all the same.

I've read other books by this author and when I read the description, I was blowed away. It's got that soul mate feel and a mix of best friends older brother type thing going in, yes please!!!!

JT was totally the son of Dane! I could see many Dane traits in him but at the same time he was his own person. The things he did, while upper handed here some of the cutest most adorable acts of love I've ever seen!

Bellamy was a shy girl and had all the best intentions, but deep down she has this fire that burns so bright your blinded by it. I know JT was and I could totally see it. I loved her attitude and the thing she did to JT! I laughed a lot while being in her head.

The secondary characters in this book rock! Everyone from Bryan to the whole brood from the evolve series. It was great seeing all of them in this book and see how they have grownup and it's truly like an extended epilogue.

While this is a best friends brother/ sisters best friend romance it has such a big family dynamic to it. It shows that family means everything and while we may always love family, sometimes it's not always pretty. It was pretty light on the drama.

Overall I loved this book! It was complete, didn't leave me questioning anything, It was so well written that I honestly think of anything that I didn't like. It had humor, amazing attraction, and so much love that my heart is happy! I can't wait to see more! I don't even know who I want more of I'm the next book! Any of them will be amazing! 5 stars #2OCCJD

S.E. Hall comes full circle with her newest release (hopefully) series with Embody focusing on her beloved Crew's children. In Embody, we get the pleasure of meeting the ever bossy, loveable, alpha male JT, the son of Dane and Laney. Hall doesn't disappoint by delivering another male character who is equally delicious as Dane Kendrick with whom we have all named and coveted as our book boyfriend. But Hall doesn't stop at just the perfect man. Instead she brings to live a vivacious, yet innocent spitfire named Bellamy. Bellamy doesn't just give JT a run for his money, she rules it in a effortless fashion that has you wishing you were as cool as her. Together they bring to life another chapter in an already wonderful Crew that has you coming full circle and begging for more.If you are looking for another series to become addicted to, then one click Embody.

I was very excited when SE Hall announced that there would be a spin off from one of my favourite series ever! The Evolve Series. If you haven't read the Evolve series, i suggest you start now! this book will make a bit more sense.

JT (Jefferson Tate) Kendrick, son of one of my ultimate book boyfriends, Dane Kendrick and Laney. (lucky girl to be married to my husband) is his father through and through. Alpha male, gets what he wants. and he WANTS Bellamy...only problem is, Bellamy is bff's with JT's younger sister.

I have followed SE Hall and her books for quite sometime now, and her writing and her stories keep me entertained and keep me wanting to read more and more. I like how the rest of the Evolve Crew, the OG's are involved in this book. The dynamic between Laney and Dane is still awesome.

I can't wait for the next book in this series!!! a must read.

Embody is a girl meets boy, boy stakes his claim and drags her off to his alpha man cave kind of read and I loved it.

JT first meets Bellamy when he is picking his sister up from a party near some woods. An odd start to the story, the girls have ventured out into the woods to go and pee when JT goes to find them, I'm sure a meeting on the car park would of been suffice however when JT or Jefferson first sees Bellamy he falls and falls hard at first sight.

Jefferson quickly goes from playboy to a boy on a mission.

Embody is a slow build romance, Bellamy is the kind of girl who study's hard, works and is somewhat sheltered, innocent and inexperienced in most things other than studying. My first impressions of Bellamy was good, I thought she could hold her own, a girl with backbone which I like in a character but that didn't continue she was more like a sweet delicate flower as JT worked his wooing and swoon worthy charm to get his girl. Now Presley JT's cousin, loved her, spirited and sassy and I am looking forward to her story.

Embody is a second generation series, J.T being the son of Dane and Laney from Emerge.

I loved this big family of oddballs, cousins, Aunts and uncles and all the characters. J.T is from generations of men who seem to all know when they have met "the one" and stake their claim on their woman going all caveman, taking the word mine very seriously.

Fans of Aurora Rose Reynolds who know the boom effect meaning will love this.

Jefferson Tate Kendrick is sweet, sexy and swoon-worthy and I loved his journey to finding his girl.

looking forward to more in this series, it left me also wanting to read previous books which I haven't read yet.

A sweet swoon-worthy read Filled with humour and great characters told in dual pov's.Can be read as a standalone.

Not as many hot moments as I would of liked, it was a very slow build up to any intimacy towards the end, Jefferson turned out to be a patient perfect gentlman.

There's no angst or drama at all, Embody is a perfect relaxing well written read with enough to keep you turning the pages.

Embody is yet another reason S.E. Hall is one of my all time favorite authors. I will always stop what I am doing immediately to read her books, she never disappoints and always leaves me satisfied with a serious book hangover.
JT Kendrick is H.O.T.!! I fell in love with him immediately and could not get enough of his sexy, bossy alpha ways! Being a playboy he never sees love coming until it slaps him right in the face.
Bellamy, bff to Jt's sister Brynn, is sweet, sassy and Used to getting things done on her own. So when JT steps in with all is Alpha sparks fly. These two were so fun to read.
The entire squad is amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on more!!!

I can not for the life of me figure out why this book is rated so high. I have really liked previous work from this author, but this book was a NO. Try as I might, I couldn't like any of the characters. Even the ones I liked in previous books. The drama between the siblings and family stuff was just to put it simple dumb. Not for me.

OMG!!! I've never laughed so hard while reading a little sister best friend love story.

Jefferson Tate Kendrick, JT, doesn't do relationships and never sees the same girl twice. He doesn't have that urge to find "the one" and be overly protective until he meets Bellamy Jill Morgan, his youngest sister best friend. The minute his sister sees how he looks at Bellamy she forbids him from making a move.

Bellamy Jill Morgan is a hard working college student holding down a part time job and full loaded college courses at the same time. She's an independent young lady and an only child that loves her parents dearly. She's a goal setter and doesn't have time for boys until she meets the very attractive brother of her best friend. She's instantly smitten but doesn't make a move.

JT is swoony, all alpha and bossy but in a protect what's mine type of way. He completely ignores his sister warning and goes after what he wants. JT and Bellamy butt heads because he wanted to give her the world but she didn't want his family thinking that she's a gold digger since he comes from money and she doesn't. Of course his crazy family doesn't think that.

JT bossy ways and Bellamy semi naive ways were hilarious and keeps you turning the page. She is a heroine with a backbone that was a joy to read.

This was a good romance book with very little drama and some funny as hell secondary characters with no filters. Every family has a Presley, lol. This is a must read.

Let’s start off with I love S.E. Hall’s books, but seriously this book takes the cake. It’s PERFECTION!!!! The main guy’s name is JT I knew right away I was going to LOVE him because my husband’s name is JT just kidding (maybe) but JT really is the total package. He’s a cave man alpha male that is also a total swoon worthy sweetheart. This book is also a huge BONUS for me because JT falls for his sister’s best friend (I love these kinds of books).

JT aka Jefferson Tate (totally swooning just over his name) first meets Bellamy in the woods during a party, and they are instantly attracted to each other. JT’s sister Brynn aka Bellamy’s BFF notices JT’s interest in her from the get go and warns him to stay away from her, but I honestly think it makes the attraction so much stronger. JT has never been the one to want to settle down, but there is something about Bellamy that makes him want to change. He promised Brynn he would stay away, but promises are sometimes meant to be broken right?

Words cannot describe how much I loved this book. I was consumed from start to finish. I don’t even think I moved until it was over. I was rooting for JT and Bellamy from the get go. Not only is this book funny at times, but there is some amazing chemistry and total swoon worthy moments throughout this book. I also adored the secondary characters as well and can’t wait to read more from this series. This is definitely at top read for me!

Excited is not even a good enough word to describe how I felt when I head that the children of The Crew were getting their own series. I loved each and every one of the books about the now parents of these kids, and I’m sure The Squads’ (Full Circle) series is not going to be any different. Dane was always my favorite, and now I get to read about his son, Jefferson Tate or JT. And yes, Bellamy…..Dane is a DILF!!!!! As a reader, I love when an author listens to her fans who chant that they want more of a series. I love when they give us a continuation of a series through their children. Those of you who have read all of the Evolve Series (The Crew’s books,) you will absolutely LOVE this book. Those of you who haven’t, well now is your chance to get hooked. This book just has it all. There were so many parts in it that just made me chuckle. I love the interactions with every character. You will read this book with a smile on your face. JT will make you swoon, and Bellamy will cause you to giggle. She gives JT all he wants. The storyline is entertaining causing you to not want to put the book down. SE Hall, you gave your readers another character to swoon over and remember and talk about for years to come. I can’t wait for more from this series. Just perfection! Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.

Bellamy and JT meet at a party that he goes to in search of his sister, Brynn. Bellamy and Brynn are best friends who met in college. Bellamy and JT instantly are attracted to each other but his sister decides to throw a tantrum and block him from getting to know her. His whole family was a bit unhinged and too into each other's lives to be believable at times. Brynn acted like a two-year-old and even got sent to her room by her dad despite the fact she is 19. Bellamy wasn't much better when it comes to acting like an adult. She and JT were both novices at relationships and she whined, acted bratty and was generally disappointing. She questioned JT and wanted a prince charming even though she professed she understood what reality was. Her "schooling" of JT and, at one point, Brynn was ridiculous. Her thought process was juvenile and not very adult. When JT needs a bit of time to get past being mad, she blows it all out of proportion and calls in his family to "help" her. It solved nothing. Her questioning his feelings and expecting him to just take her word for things was just sad at points. JT was high-handed at times but did try to explain why. The book was okay but not really my cup of tea at times. Too much immaturity and not enough substance at times.

Once again, SE Hall has wowed me with her prose!! The Squad is just as great as the Crew. This is the start of a great series. I love Bellamy. First her name I love that!! And her mouth. She doesn't put up with anything. She is a real spitfire!! Then we JT. Oh my that boy is his daddy through and through with the teachings of Sawyer thrown in lol. This was an awesome book. I can't wait for more of this series.

This was a cute, low angst, fast
read. Bellemy and JT were both
loveable characters, and I liked
them together. I did think that
at times JT spoke, and thought
like a 40 yr old man, not the
twenty-something he was, that
bothered me, but was overall
enjoyable.

The family in this book (The Kendrick's) is the large, foul mouthed, probably crazy, but deeply loving family I always wished I had been a part of!

Author S.E. Hall has embodied (pun intended) my idea of a perfect family with this story and apparently the series in which this book stems from.

Embody is a spin-off book from her widely popular Evolve series which I'm embarrassed to admit I haven't yet read. BUT I do plan on devouring every single book in that series ASAP! ;)

Our main characters in this book are Bellamy Morgan and JT (Jefferson Tate) Kendrick. Bellamy is best friends with JT's younger sister, Brynn, and when JT meets Bellamy during a hilarious, peeing-in-the-woods situation, it's instalove for them both...well instalust at least. Haha!

Brynn, however, steps in immediately to squash any plans JT might have for gettin' jiggy with her bestie and declares Bellamy off-limits to her commitment phobic brother.

The siblings begin an all-out war over this when JT retaliates by telling Brynn she has to stay away from her almost boyfriend, Ryder. He reasons that since he was friends with Ryder first, it only makes sense that her hands-off rule should apply to her as well.

Things get messy, dirty, and mean until their parents (whom I ADORE and can relate with their parenting style SO MUCH by the way. LoL) finally step in and try to make their children behave. This all happens a little too late and once Bellamy figures out what's going on, she takes matters into her own hands and decides to teach the Kendrick siblings a lesson of her own.

Although this story revolves mostly around Bellamy and JT, I found myself wanting to know more about several of the other characters in this book.

Presley is the one that stands out most in my mind. Her foul mouth and sassy attitude made her very hard to ignore. She stole every single scene she was in and I just know we'll be seeing a lot more of her in the future.

As I was checking my highlighted quotes from this book, I realized that most of my highlights weren't of sweet, heart warming quotes, but ones that made me literally lol. There are several one-liners in this story that made me laugh so hard!

I give Embody 5 out of 5 Krissy's Stars!

While the love story in this book IS sweet (incredibly so), the hilarious and witty banter make this book a #MUSTREAD for me.

When you know, you know.
When an author repeatedly makes you giddy, happy, and laugh your ass off, you know that you want to read the next one.

***But here's my painful confession: I have not read the Evolve series. I own them all. Bought them, downloaded them on my kindle, and somehow neglected them. Please don't hate me.

You do not NEED to read or have read the Evole series. I'm sure it makes it a much better reading experience and the comments about the parents crew would be more meaningful BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARY. You will still love and enjoy this spin off series.***

Now back to my real review:

When you know, you know. When that one person makes everything better...When you can't imagine tomorrow without them...When they love your ridiculously wild family...When only they make sense...YOU KNOW!

For the first time in his life, JT Kendrick gets it. Now to explain it all to the beautiful, proud, and exasperatingly perfect red head that is hanging out with his sister.

Ugh really, her new best friend. Ok some would say cliche, but hello- she's hot, he's hot. JT - can work it. But obviously the apple doesn't fall from from the tree because over the top, overly generous, and extravagant gifts seem to materialize every where for Bellamy.

Will it be too much? Is it insta-love or insta-lust? Can a bad boy change his ways?

I seriously was giggly, giddy, and laughing my way through some wildly inappropriate conversations, situations, and just content to watch this family in action.

If you love zany friends/family...
1. the inappropriate jokes
2. the exasperated parents shaking their heads at their kids
3. the friend who asks about your orgasms in a large public place without a filter or whisper

Or if you are all about the alphas...
1. over protective ...in a good way
2. kind, caring, nurturing
3. bossy

Need a little naughty...
1. dirty talking
2. agile and needy hands
3. clearly knows what he's doing and did I mention he's a filthy talker...
4. DIRTY TALKING

So to wrap up my long and hopefully motivational review, YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! It is too good to be bought and ignored. so much do that I need to "dust off" the Evolve series and see how much I've been missing.

Oh and shout out to Jill Sava because that cover...hot damn!

Holy mother of all things amazing!! S.E Hall has out done herself this time. I have missed the crew something fierce but the squad is ..... never thought I would say this but WAY better!! If you haven't read the Evolve Series then I suggest you do so you get the full experience.

Bellamy is the shy, almost outspoken good girl. She works for everything she has and goes to school. She wants to better her life and her parents. Brynn Kendrick is her best friend and they click like no one ever has before. Bellamy loves Brynn and will do anything she can for her. Even put up with her crazy family. She's met all the crazy Uncles and Aunts, some cousins but she has never met Brynns brother JT. Until one night at a party in the woods, where something's just shouldn't be repeated.

"Brynns dad is the sexiest DILF I've ever seen, but every bit as frightening as he is handsome. I'm also certain he has mob ties.... or is The Godfather."

JT Kendrick cocky playboy, or so everyone thinks. He is definitely his fathers son. He works for his father, almost done with school. He is loyal to his family, loves them very much and will do anything for them. Even his younger sister Brynn. He will always watch out for her, she is the baby after all. When JT sees something he wants he's going to get it. No matter what, the night he sees Bellamy his caveman comes out full force. But Brynn doesn't want him to get involved. He understand and they make a deal. JT can only take so much , he having a war with himself on what to do. An eventually he's going to get what he wants. Bellamy. He wants to be happy, and Bellamy is his happiness.

"Monster, monster slong ," I reply with a straight face. " Pleasure doing business with you Zeke Stryker. "

JT and Bellamy's story is a sweet beautiful one. I laughed so hard throughout this book. JT and Bellamy are perfect. The Crew is back full force with their children and are absolutely the best parents. And Presley that girl is just like her father and I hope her book is next!

I love S.E. Hall's writing. My first book by her was Unstable and I devoured that book in one sitting..... and then the rest of her books! So I knew I had to read this one when I saw that it had the whole family from the Evolve series in it.

JT is the son of Dane and Laney... he's SO alpha.. just like the rest of the males in the family. That was my favorite thing about this book, his need to protect his woman and take care of her making sure she's safe. That's always so hot... but also the closeness of the family. They're so open with each other and laugh out loud hilarious.

"Shy to the world, brazen lil' vixen for me. I like it."

Then we have a younger, sweet, innocent Bellamy. Best friends with JT's sister, Brynny, who has completely restricted JT from even looking Bellamy's way. Bellamy may be innocent but she's got some fire in her that she isn't afraid to let loose and she knows exactly what she wants. Even if Brynny doesn't like it.

"Bellamy, love, open your eyes. Watch the stars above us, feel the beat and listen to my voice. Trust me to take you soaring."

The sexual tension is THROUGH THE ROOF. I wanted to scream when Hall didn't let them have it. But at the same time it was refreshing, Bellamy has morals and didn't want to just give it away at the first opportunity. Rest assured though, there are some extremely steamy moments, a particular Sam Hunt concert being my favorite. Have I mentioned how hot JT is!? Enjoy the slow burn!

Lines are crossed and relationships... brother/sister and best friends... are tested many times. People make mistakes and it's all about coming full circle and leaning on the family that has your back no matter what.

"I love you. Quantifiably. Unmistakably. Forever."

My rating: 4/5 stars

5 Stars!

SE Hall is a witch when it comes to words. Her stories are hypnotic, with the ability to pull at your heartstrings and have you hanging on to each word, devouring it like it's the last piece of cheesecake on the world. I'm greedy when it changes to SE.... always wanting more and never quite getting enough.

I fell for in love, hardcore, with the Crew and now, the next generation is here to make us fall all over again, in the best kinds of ways and even more than before if that's even possible. Embody is the first book in the Full Circle series, a spin off from the Evolve series. SE knows how to start a series with a bang.... and Embody did just that.

This book was perfection... intense, passionate, captivating, sexy, and crazyyyyyyyyy addictive. Up first we have JT and Bellamy... and what a story these two gave me. She's his little sister's best friend.... the one he wants. It's about to get crazy hot and super complicated. But their chemistry and desires.... completely undeniable. Their journey.... perfect and totally worth every moment.

Get ready for a whole "new-ish" set of folks who will keep you coming back for more.

I highly recommend this book.
