Former newspaper fashion editor, Karen Wheeler, has written four popular books celebrating the joys of living the simple life in France. Her latest book, the fifth in the series, is a collection of short stories based on her newspaper articles, magazine columns and other writings about France. France in Four Seasons is a series of short (and sweet) anecdotes, designed to give a delightful and evocative insight into French life as the seasons unfold.
I love how Karen wrote single stories based on the season. There is not a chronological order other than the season in which the story took place. This book has inspired me to write single event stories with the same main theme, like Karen's living in France theme. So Karen, thank you.
I love the way Karen Wheeler writes! She is very descriptive about her life and her friends! I, unfortunately, started with book 5 so I will have to go back to book 1!
She is funny, snarky, honest, and a romantic. What is not to like? Have read all her books. Favorites are the Cottage ones and Tout Sweet series. Please, Madame, may I have some more?
Great writer! Excellent continuation of Karen Wheeler’s experiences in France. I have enjoyed all 5 of her books (this one on Kindle and 4 others in paperback) about her life in France. Absolutely none better than her books!
France in Four Seasons is a collection of short stories and articles Karen has written over the years about her French village life. It is like a catch up as well as a revisit – some were new stories to me, some felt more familiar, but all are 100% Karen and packed full of her fabulous descriptions of living in France. France in Four Seasons also has the same gorgeous artwork that entices you into all of Karen's books.
If you are new to her work, this will be a great taster that will leave you wanting more. If, like me, you are already a fan, this will be a little fix while we wait for another book from Karen.
