Another easy to read and informative book, geared towards issues relating to having gallstones. It includes an explanation of gallbladder issues, diagnostic methods and treatment, along with diet information, including gallbladder flush, yoga and acupressure remedies. I liked that it had a section regarding life after gallbladder removal surgery and found the diet change information quite helpful, although a little contradictory/confusing in parts (such as including chicken and turkey on foods to avoid but then indicating to include lean meat proteins in the foods to incorporate into the diet). The cover indicates "also includes: free one week meal plan"; however, this information is not included in the printed book.
This book started OK, but by the time I completed it I felt it was totally contradicting only my consultant and GP but also itself!!!! It tells you what foods to avoid then later gives examples of 'remedies' which includes those very avoided foods! We ended up being told by putting our ring and middle fingers together our gall bladders will be cleansed! Yes, I'm wondering what planet the author is now living on.
Great Book on the gallbladder. I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with gallbladder issues.
If you have had or recently have been given a diagnosis of gallstones you must read this book. I am a retired registered nurse and I didn’t remember anything about the gallbladder but I do now. I am hoping to keep mine. The guide to doing that came from this book.
This book has very simple explanations and is very easy to understand. It explains the different problems associated with gallbladder issues and diseases and talks about various diagnostics. The recipies to keep a gallbladder healthy are wholesome and easy to make. A very good book.
I think there is a lot of great information in the book. I have yet to try them. However, it says to drink coffee mid way through the book and the end it lists as a thing to avoid...
