Enter the Divisa World!
Angel Morgan was positive her life ended the day she moved to the ho-dunk town of Spring Valley, Illinois. The internet service was splotchy, there was nothing but miles of wheat fields, and her house was older than dirt.
Everything was looking gloomy, until she got an eyeful of her new neighbor. There was only one way to describe him—hot as hell. With his sinful dark looks, unusually silver eyes, and kissable lips, there was something more about Chase Winters than meets the eye.
Angel was about to find out how very different Spring Valley was.

Great series for young adults. Charming and exciting. Perfect blend of young love, action and drama. This series was a fun and easy read. When you have time grab it and enjoy.
Some spoilers Alerts!!!! I will not give away to much but will say only a few things that I felt were awesome!!!
This series was absolutely amazing from start to finish it was a page turner. It was so hard to put down. I couldn't believe how strong the bond was between Angel and Chase ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!
The characters in this series were amazing!! I loved all of them !!! I enjoyed the bickering between Emma and Chase, Angel and Chase, Travis and Chase, Lexi and Chase, and the Love between all of them ... I spent many nights falling asleep to my iPad/kindle , and then not doing my daily things to trying to read the rest of this series...
You will not be disappointed 😔 if you read this series, it is mind blowing, full of action, love ❤️ a kinda of love that you would wish you could have in your life time.... I know I love my husband, but even I don't have this bond with him...
The only thing, I was kinda sad about was I wish that we had a chapter about their wedding 👰🏻🤵🏻, especially after everything they went through I would of loved to experience their great day!!! I do love their 10 years later, though, just missed Lexi in that part!!!! 😥
Anyways, I would definitely recommend this series, I am looking forward to reading about Lexi in 2018 because the ending left me kinda wanting to know what happened to her!!!
Ok I’m having a hard time reviewing this series. Jennifer L. Armentrout wrote the Lux series in 2012 and J.L. Weil wrote this series in 2017. They are basically the exact same except Lux deals with Angels and Divisa deals with demons. I absolutely loved The Lux series and couldn’t put it down. Seeing as they were the same, I did enjoy this book but I almost felt guilty reading something I’ve already read by a different author.
If I’m going to review it based on content alone I absolutely loved it. The relationship between Angel and Chase was so emotional because one minute they are yelling at each other and the next they can’t keep their hands off each other. The side characters were well developed and the plot was interesting.
If I’m going to review the whole thing, I can’t give it more than 1 star because I’ve already read it and it’s not unique. It was also very poorly edited. I ended up having to reread many paragraphs/sentences because I didn’t know what was being said.
I'm a fan of YA supernatural stories and have read many diverse stories by various authors. However, Angel has to be my least favorite protagonist. The general story line is interesting, however, in my opinion it's very long winded making it a bit boring. By the end of book 2, I could barely read 2 or 3 pages per reading session, where normally I would devour book series in 1 - 2 days. But this series I struggled to finish and basically forced myself to finish it. It took me well over two weeks to finish because after 2-3 pages I'd get bored or lose interest.
There is to much unnecessary verbiage between action scenes that does not really add to the development of the characters or the plot. It's just empty filler to add to the total words in each of the books in the series, in my opinion. The long winded verbiage does not add intrigue or direction to the story. What I mean is there is too much, for lack of a better word, 'sappy' teen dialogue and monologuing between Angel and Chase about how desperately in love they are that they can't stand to be apart. We get it...its first love, it's fated mates...they are bonded...but the way its presented and how often, it feels like wallowing in molasses...I think I almost became diabetic just from reading these books and just ended up skimming through these overly 'sappy' love sick parts until action scenes came up.
I did enjoy the two novellas about Emma. They weren't long winded and helped the reader understand what happened to her in the concise manner of typical novellas. In my opinion Emma is a much better protagonist than Angel.
The problem I had with Angel was she was a weak heroine in my opinion. She fumbles her way through the whole story. She was, also, too dependent on Chase to save her over and over. And she was to clueless or not really motivated to discover or develop her own powers or self defense training. I wish she had shown a stronger backbone and been more of a 'take the bull by the horns' heroine. Also, despite receiving some training from Emma, she didn't really seem to use the training often enough but instead deferred to Chase to rescue and protect her.
Overall, I think the verbiage between action scenes could be shorten or rewritten to better develop the story plot and better set up for the action scenes. Also there were numerous grammar mistakes throughout the series. I had to reread sentences to make sense of what was written. I think with better editing and rewriting of the scenes between Angel and Chase the total number of books could be reduced by at least one book and make for a far more interesting read and stronger key characters.
4.5 Stars A regular high school senior moves to a tiny town in Illinois. Her neighbors are all gorgeous. She quickly becomes friends with the girl, Lexi, a beauty who seems to have few friends herself. Lexi’s cousin Chase lives with them and he is an amazing specimen of male beauty himself, but there’s one big problem, he’s a jerk, who keeps sending our protagonist mixed signals. In time our protagonist Angel learns that her next door neighbors are different. They are half-demon and danger is always around the corner for them. Angel is different because she isn’t repulsed or frightened of their scare vibe they give off, which happens to catch Chase’s attention, though he doesn’t trust Angel.
This is a love story. I like the spunk of the main character Angel, even though she does dumb things a lot. There’s a lot of danger and fights with both demons and humans who hunt demons. If you like paranormal romance this is a fun series. People say it Mirrors another series, but let’s be honest, don’t all these series kind of have similarities? I enjoyed this series!

Absolutely adored the characters from the start. They were fun and powerful and I literally laughed out loud throughout the series. I read through the entire series consecutively and enjoyed it. Only drawback was by the third book the perfectionist in me was getting aggravated with the abundance of clerical errors. Other than that, I recommend this for a great story and intimate scenes that are romantic, not trashy the way some books unfortunately turn.
The series was pretty good but there was a lot of repetition. The story line was interesting but the long and drawn out sessions between chase and angle and then the moment leading up to their 3rd bond just wasnt what i was expecting, so much anticipation for so little heat. oye! I loved Travis and Emmas story and development, the two books about Emma in between were amazing. The editing also should have been reviewed before release, there is a ton of misprints and things that just didnt make sense.
This is a fun and entertaining series about half demons called Divisa. Chase falls in love with Angel and these stories chronicle their romance. I enjoyed the books and the ending. However, a new editor is definitely needed. The grammar repeatedly killed me. I also didn’t find myself unable to put the book down, which means it was good, but not great.
If you’re looking for great sex scenes, this is not your series. This is more of the fade to black romance novel. Boo.
Overall, it was worth the read. Happy reading y’all!!
This is one of my favorite books! I've read it several times. The character's are well imagined and J.L. Weil writes this fun book remarkably well. The main characters go through so many hardships to be together, when you feel like there can't be more to the story, it continues with so many twists. I loved all the books, but really enjoyed the end. This story could continue further, and I would have loved to see some of Chase's perspective in the beginning to get an idea of his struggles, but the series is awesome! It still earns a 5 star rating from me!
The entire story of Chase and Angel was exquisite. The novella of Emma and Travis was devastating. I was so sad when I read it. Jl Weil knew exactly how to portray feelings and it was fantastic. Character building, strong emotions, and a great ending to the perfect story. This story had me feeling all kinds of ways. Their love wasn’t cheesy, there was lots of arguing and stubbornness .
Awesome Series, Chase and Angels chemistry is through the roof.. Chase is HOT, I love the way his cocky personality and his softer side fit perfectly together and Angel is a girl after my own heart, her spunky personality and sassy mouth just made them the best couple in my book.. I loved this series from start to finish but I would really like to read a story about what happen to Lexi and if she finally fines happiness that she deserves...
This story has some similarities to Twilight, but it is very much it’s own story. It’s fun, snarky, and entertaining, with some teen steam, some surprises, danger and an epic love story. This series kept me alternately on edge, and smiling. The pace never lets up, and the storyline is good. The characters are relatable (And likable), and the simmer with Chase and Angel is perfect without detracting from the storyline. Loved the epilogue HEA!
Can a human and a half demon fall in love? How far will Chase go to save Angel from demons, hellhounds and Hell? A wonderful love story full of love, courage and strength of friends. Come enjoy the destiny of a human girl who falls in love with a half demon and the adventures that they and their friends have, along with the power of their love and the obstacles that try to separate them.
Simply put, this series was AMAZING!!!! Seriously it only took me a day to read all of it, I could hardly put it down! Kudos to J.L. Weil for being BBC an awesome writer who created these characters and the story they had! Freaking loved Angel and Chase!!! Now just wish there was more 🤣
Once I started reading about Angel, Lexi, Chase, Travis and Emma, I could hardly put it down!! Lots of twists and turns and unexpected pleasures. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys hunting demons, or at least reading about it. Lol I cannot wait for more! Please keep them coming J.L. Weil, and thank you!
I enjoyed the story but error after error in every book..l started writing them down in the end Physic vs Physique Quiet vs Quite Memorable vs Memorabilia Fits vs Fists Ambers vs Embers Titled vs Tilted Lesson vs Lessen
As long as you can move past such typos that seem so easy to fix with just a read thru, you’ll enjoy the books
The first two books were really good but it started declining , I completely skipped through chase’s book as it was nothing but the cliche bad boy with feelings trope. The last book could’ve been great but the author probably got too tired to really make it awesome. I was excited to read something new but after the second book I checked out .
Overall, this is a good story. However, the text is full of mistakes. There are so many mistakes that it's hard to ignore. It takes you out of the story. The author could really use a book on common idioms because she got many of them wrong. It distracts from the story.
The overall book was good, and I enjoyed reading it. The mistakes were distracting.
I really enjoyed this series. Lots of interesting twists and turns. Interesting characters, lots of romance, comedy, drama and action. My only gripe is that the the books are horribly edited. In fact, I’d be surprised if they were proofread at all! In this age of spellcheck and grammar-check, this is totally unacceptable.
I love the characters in this series. I was sad to see it end. Can't wait for Lexi's story to come out. There are some editing mistakes, but it doesn't distract from the story.
I like the story, it's a fun read. There are quite a few typos, though, which really detracts from the reading experience. I'd love to see these books edited (I'll do it!). The amount of typos makes me hesitant to read J.L. Weil's other work.
5 books and 2 novellas. Excellent! Fun! Interesting! Loved the characters, the story! Chase and Angel belong together and the supporting characters added dimension. Going on my Favorites list!
This was my first J.L. Weil book/ series. It was a good read, had what I like in a book, action, surprises, romance, snark, the usual. Enjoyable read. I had the entire series in one book, and I when that is possible with a series. Enjoy!!
This was a good series. It really grabbed my full attention. This Authors books are the only ones I have gotten through quickly and eager to get to the next series. So far The Raven series is still my favorite. I bought those books for my collection.
I would have given this more stars but the spelling errors and missing words had me stopping to mark them since I am anal over that, so I couldn't enjoy the story to it's fullest. Still a good read and story.
I was obsessed with this story line from the get go. I’m had to read them as fast I could to see what happened next. Great from book 1 through the very end. Highly recommend these books!!
