'As Good As Dead' was a great look into what's coming from the 'Tom Blake Series'. This novella is full of action, thrilling scenarios and great characters. Blake makes a great lead. He's a quick thinker, great at analyzing situations and people and he is great at his job. He gets things done. I look forward to reading more of this series.

This was a great novella. A wonderfully written book that plays with your emotions. Tom Blake goes into a hotel with terrorists to try and save hostages, as a doctor (as well as a special operator). He gets emotionally attached to one of the hostages and the results are gut rentching. It shows that tough guys can be soft, too. It just makes you want to read more of Tom Blake's stories.

This short book is an excellent introduction to Tom Blake, an extraordinary operative. Although he has the ability to use a form of hypnotism to deal with individuals, this adventure taps into his other skills to provide an exciting and interesting story.
