It was one night masked in desire and pleasure that changed everything. He's all I think about- all I want. And he's everything I can't possibly have.
My sisters ex. My swim coach.
Now, all I'm left with are stolen glances, brief touches, and a burning desire for more as I drown in my need for him- the man who's off limits, totally forbidden.
Unless ...
We keep it completely hushed.

Sadly neither forbidden not romantic. He's her coach, he's older and he's her sister's ex, but despite all of that I didn't get any sense of taboo or forbidden; they had no chemistry. I can't recommend this I'm afraid.

Hush was about a forbidden love between a student and coach. The main characters were Emma and Trey. They met at a party where Emma wore a mask concealing her identity. It was an instant connection. The kicker was when you learn he just broke up with her older sister and was also her new swim coach.
I read book 1 and can tell it's not going to hold my interest. The writing style did not grab me or hold my attention. While I'm curious about these two characters and the reaction of her sister it does not warrant enough interest to continue with the other books.
It felt like a story I already read. It seemed to common and familiar.m

I really thought this book was cute for a quick read and the fact that they kept themselve secret made the book that much more interesting. Also I have a thing for older men so this was super hot the girl was 20 and he was 32. Trey really connected with Emma cuz they both really love water. I really like how it wasn't so bad when everybody found out they where a thing because it came back together quickly.

Also so that everyone knows this is not appropriate for anyone under 18 even though they say it is. it's recommended for ages 17+ but there is a good amount of sex.

Definitely makes you want to buy the series, AND it is totally worth it so far.
I read this story not really knowing what I was getting myself into since I read it blind. And.... I was pleasantly surprised that I LOVED the instant connection but when we find out WHY this is a forbidden romance it sucked me in even more.
Very well written and yeah, I clicked the box set as well!!!

I really enjoyed "Hush" by Amanda Maxlyn. This is the first time I've read anything by this author, and I will definitely be putting her on my must read list. This was a great novella to introduce the series and I was sucked in right away with her writing and characters. Can't wait to see how the story unfolds in the next book.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Not bad

I read this book and love the concept of it and what there is it's good. Sexy and interesting but it moves at a very fast pace and it was short. I want to know what is next.

Delightful reading

I enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading more of this author's books. It was easy reading and once I started I couldn't put it down. Being a romantic by nature I fell in love with Trey. Never hurts to enjoy a book I can get lost in

Too short

My only complaint is that it is too short! I loved the story line and wanted more. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author

Three pages in and I don’t like the MC.
Ok she’s getting fired from the job that she desperately needs coz she’s dirt poor, then she magically has enough saved to take a year off work, wears a diamond pendant and wears a Calvin Klein dress, they own ipods and her sister drives a BMW.
Frowns.
She’s not flirty like her sister but she picks up a guy at a party and goes home with him. She’s wearing a mask, doesn’t take it off, doesn’t tell her his name etc. Which is a huge story point but just feels super weird to me.
The writing style irks me. First person pov often does but this is a real name dropper for songs, brands etc.
It’s not that I expect to see Trey standing there in all his gloriousness, but I can’t help but look for his tall stature.

Ugh. Tall stature?
“What?” I pop one eye open to get a small glimpse at her exhausted, yet flawless face.

Exhausted yet flawless?
*wobbles hand*
And it’s a bit overwritten; you know when it tells you how to open a door etc.
I assume he recognises her face from a photo on her swim team file as he’s the coach and her sister’s boyfriend. That’s not a spoiler, they wrote it in the damn story summary ffs. Oops. But it isn’t explained how else he’d know her name. Her sister was allegedly dating him but hadn’t even bothered to tell her sister or their flatmate what his name was. It’s all a bit too contrived.

Great starter to the series

Emma is a college sophomore on the swim team. Today is her birthday and she gets fired from her job. She goes out with her roommate and meets Trey at a party. They have an instant connection then he panicks and disappears. She finds out the next day he is her sister's ex and the new swim coach. I can't wait to see how the series turns out great read so far.

Loved it

It was too short for me. But the story line was amazingly written out. I loved all the twists that kept the story intense.

What a great first part to this story! I was hooked from the first few pages. The writing style sucked me in, giving us super hot chemistry between Trey & Emma, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

When you get to the end, you will want more, crave more, need more of this sexy story. So good!

I'm not sure I liked it enough to get the series. It left me flat. It could get better, but not going to spend money to find out.

Emma is out of look work wise, but a party changes that. A nice guy who she connects help her to smile again, and she only know his name – and he doesn’t know who she is. If that doesn’t scream trouble what will :)
Really good book, wonderful written and a nice plot.

there really isn't much to write home about on this one. the way its supposed to be written is mascarade party guests fall for eachother and have a night of passion before discovering their true identities. what we get is.. a strange mascarade party with a keg and two people sit outside and talk which leads them to apparently fall for eachother. its all very odd. I didn't connect in anyway with anyone.

Instant Attraction

WOW! I really didn't expect the second revelation but I did guess the first one. Now the question is did Trey walk away because he realizes Em is Brookes sister or his student?

Not really sure what I just read. Or, rather, I’m not sure what I just skimmed through. At 35 pages, it was too short. And yet, two pages in was enough for me to start skimming. Not interesting enough to continue the series.
