Crossed Family Values #2

Rate this book
Nothing is sacred as Crossed returns! The biggest hit horror series of the year returns with an all-new six-issue series written by David (Stray Bullets) Lapham! Set right at the start of the Crossed outbreak, this epic tale of depravity promises to shock and disturb you with even more intensity than the first series! The Pratt family was torn apart by the sudden strike of the infected masses. The survivors think they have found a safe place to start over. A place the Crossed won't find them and can be well defended. But those are only the external threat as evil lurks in the hearts of some men and those terrors aren't as easy to see as a Crossed rash. Imagine, for a moment, the worst crimes against humanity. Picture the cruelest affronts to decency. Conjure your darkest nightmares... and then realize it could all be so much worse. When civilization crumbles in one terrifying moment; when people are gleefully breaking into unthinkable acts of violence all around you; when everyone you love has died screaming in agony: What do you do? There is no help. There is no hope. There is no escape. There are only the Crossed.

Quality is back, how convenient. It's story of perseverance and responsibility to each other is heartwarming at times. But even when it goes dark it's sinister without being predatory in it's depiction.

Lorre's arc as the kindly knowledgeable scientist who understands how the animalistic "crossed" work is such a whirlwind. His descent into cruelty as he kills off members of his group secretly when he sees them as inconvenient. It's well thought out and knows how to send chills down your spine with frequent consistency(like findingout Lorre has a rotting boob of a woman he killed before meetinghis group). Anyways this is a godsend after the tragic inconsistencies of its predecessor. It's not as great as the original graphic novel but isn't too far behind it. I would probably recommend it .

Wow! I flipped through this one thinking it didnt look as good as the others but DAMN I was wrong. Easily the most messed up and psychologically depraved so far, this one impressed the hell out of me and took the reader to darker places than I ever thought possible. There is no limits with this "Crossed" series and in Family Values, they make the humans just as messed up as the Crossed and I loved that. Graphic Novels dont get anymore entertaining, shocking or inappropriate than this. I am so glad I jumped on this series as I continue to slowly buy them all and get blown away. This is my favourite by far so far.
