It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he. The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard. I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used sexual warfare. The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender. There’s no secret I love this author. Her storytelling, her witty banter, her engaging adorable characters are fantastic in my opinion. She just do it for me! Once again, she delivered an unputdownable story that sucked me in from the very beginning. If you love romantic comedies as much as me, you don’t want to miss this one. Trust me on this! I enjoyed every single romcom I’ve read by this author, but 'Anything You Can Do' was my favorite so far. If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers stories, then you will absolutely love this one.

“Roses are red, Daisy is you, I heard you came back, and I did too.”

Daisy, who’s a doctor, returns to her hometown, Hamilton, Texas not only to be close to her mother, but also to start a new job, working under their town’s doctor. Daisy dreams that one day…soon he will retire and she will to take over his family practice. She is more than surprised when she finds out that her nemesis is back in town as well. She still hates Lucas, after all, they have been enemies since the day they were born, being in competition with each other since forever. Eleven years apart meant nothing for Daisy, she still hates Lucas’s guts, now more than ever.

Daisy is taken aback by Lucas. He’s not the same arrogant boy he used to piss her off once upon a time, he’s a chiseled, very good-looking doctor who apparently is her new colleague and the one she will have to compete against. Daisy is smart, she trusts herself and she’s willing to do anything to have the practice for herself. Their dynamic changes when under some circumstances, they are forced to spend a whole 24H together.

“Lucas’ lips are like a sleeve of Oreos: you know you shouldn’t have them at all, but you can’t stop with just one taste.”

I loved this little gem! Rachel did such a fantastic job with every single aspect of this story. Daisy and Lucas’s story was well written, gripping from start to finish and charming in every single way. The sexiness, sweetness and humor were perfectly blended together and I honestly had a blast reading these characters’ journey to 'Happily Ever After'. I smiled, grinned and laughed the entire time, so needless to say, I was more than entertained for a good couple of hours.

The pace of the story was just great for a story with such a premise. Nothing felt rushed and everything progressed naturally. I love enemies to lovers stories and the author did a great job with this aspect. The transition from enemies to lovers was fantastically done and so delicious. I loved these two as enemies as much as I loved them as lovers. They were simply delightful! Their back and forth, the hilarious banter, everything was done so well. Sure, at times they were infuriating…kind of, but I had such a great time reading their witty interactions.

“He tastes like a guilty pleasure, one that will undoubtedly sour once I’m alone again. We are enemies. Foes. And yet when Lucas takes my waist in his large hands and rolls his hips with mine, I feel like we’re working together to build something. Mutually assured destruction.”

These two were also hot as hell together, the sexual tension between them being off the charts at times. As for the sexy times between them – HOLY HOTNESS. These two were combustible together as much as they were sweeeeet.

Both Daisy and Lucas were well portrayed, endearing, fun and great to read about. I admit, Daisy was a little juvenile at times and maybe “her little war” was OTT a little, but well, I didn’t care at all about it since her character was adorable and well written. Lucas was a great, fun and sweet hero who made me swoon multiple times.

"Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing—slaying me with his mouth."

Overall, this was a very enjoyable read and if you’re looking for a charming romantic comedy, low in angst and drama, with two lovely protagonists, then you don’t want to miss this one!

"Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing—slaying me with his mouth."

That was DELECTABLE. Delectable and steamy and full of the sweetest, most delightful feels. Lord, my heart. I can safely say that Anything You Can Do is my most FAVORITE R.S. Grey read to date. It took my breath away. I am still trying to gather words in an attempt to express myself here. It's hard. I was so swept up by these characters. They were funny and charming, and the dialogue was so witty, the setting and storyline so consuming. I feel as though I just rode the BIGGEST BOOKISH HIGH! And now.... I'm walking on CLOUD NINE. I can't even think or speak or type without getting shouty!

IT WAS WOW!
WOW
WOWOW.
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!

***twirls and swoons and sighs and closes eyes basking in the bookish amazingess** **Tehehehehhehhe** I'm in LOVE. Completely LOVE!

Okay, so lets get down to review business.

RomCom is my fav. I absolutely love a romantic comedy. I've been reading so many of them lately because with the world in disarray and I feel like I need HAPPINESS to block it out. I've been actively searching for books and authors who will give me those breathless, 'I'm falling in love' feels.

I want to LIVE a fantasy.

I want to feel taken out of my life, transplanted in another world and be completely owned by a novel. That is what R.S. Grey did to me with Anything You Can Do. I feel as though I have been swept off my feet by the most charming and tantalizing romance around. This was deliciously fun, everything a love story should be. It had all those hate to love you feels that I just ate up. I couldn't get enough.

ONE SITTING, you guys. I read this book in ONE sitting. I'm still buzzing. It pulled so many feels from me. I even shed some tears !!!!!! <<---- AHHH!
And I have HIGHLIGHTS!
PAGES AND PAGES AND PAGES of the most decadent highlights.
I am OBSESSED! POSSESSED by this story.

If you are a fan of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne or Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren, then this is your read. RS Grey plowed right over two of my most favorite hate/love romances and is now sitting at the top spot above them. Addicting. Charming. This book disarmed and slayed me.

When we first meet Daisy, who is back in Hamilton her home town, she's got a plan to take over Dr. McCormick's Family Practice. Her dreams, her hard work, are about to pay off. She only gets to simmer in that victory for a minute, though, because soon she finds out that Lucas Thatcher, her arch nemesis, is also back in Hamilton, and the bastard is out to get what she thought was securely hers!

Daisy and Lucas have hated each other since they were babies! ::laughs:: And they are fiercely in competition over everything. The banter between these two, the back and forth, is utterly hilarious. I don't remember the last time I've laughed that hard. The things they do to get the upper hand will have your cheeks hurting--you cannot help but smile almost this entire book.

When Lucas and Daisy see each other after 11 years apart... IT IS EVERYTHING.

The sparks!
The sizzle!
The funny!
The swoon!

Gosh. Gosh. Gosh!!! All of that EXPLODES off the pages. Lucas is armed with a new bag of tricks though (or so Daisy thinks)! And when he employ's his new tactic, it throws her off for just a second! This game they've been playing shifts and a scorching sexual chemistry burns hot and bright, their dynamic taking a whole new turn.

INTOXICATING! This story is so well written. RS Grey took this trope and made it her own. Both Lucas and Daisy are endearing. I couldn't stop swooning. Even when they are being crazy, you can't help but giggle and fall even more in love.

I'm so enchanted! So, so, so enthralled! The pacing, the writing, the dialogue. I feel like everything was so SOLID! And that this will be a read that will appeal to the masses.

I highly recommend it for anyone who's looking for complete enjoyment, for the ULTIMATE escape. This is one of the BEST ROMANCES I've read this year. And I think it will undoubtedly be in my TOP reads. It's just so good.

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO is one of the best ”enemies-to-lovers” story I have read in quite some time. This was such a fun and addictive read. I found it almost impossible to put down. I loved the heroine’s sassy attitude and R.S. Grey has created one fine specimen of a book boyfriend. The story is jam packed with a ton of hilarious moments and white hot electric sexual chemistry between the two main characters.

Daisy Bell and Lucas Thatcher have been neighbors and natural born enemies since birth. They feed off of their relentless competitiveness against each other. Practically the entire town knows about the strong animosity they have between them. But there are also quite a few people who think that there are underlying feelings of love beneath the never-ending battle of wills. To the intuitive reader, it is also quite easy to see that Daisy and Lucas are perfect for each other and all the petty arguments and silly competitions were just their versions of foreplay.

Daisy and Lucas find themselves back home after having finished medical school and their residencies. To their surprise and dismay, they’ve both been offered jobs at the same local family practice. Both had thought they were solely brought on to eventually take over the practice and weren’t counting on having to share that role with anyone else. They each seem to be plotting out ways to outshine each other in hopes of becoming the winning candidate.

What Daisy doesn’t realize is that Lucas has never really been her enemy and maybe deep down she’s always known that he has held a very special place in her heart. Daisy does spend an awfully enormous amount of time being utterly clueless but the heated banter between her and Lucas made this story highly entertaining. The sexual tension and the slow build to the surrender to their incredible passion had me nearly combusting from the anticipation!

Will Daisy get a clue and finally see that Lucas has always been her soul mate, or will a hasty and misguided decision destroy their chance for a “happily ever after”?

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO releases on February 2nd! R.S. Grey fans and those who enjoy a good “love/hate” dynamic between the main characters, will definitely want to pick this one up!

”A rivalry like ours sustains itself by constantly evolving.”

What a cleverly written frenemies story R.S. Grey definitely has a wicked sense of humor. If you’re a fan of enemies to lover’s stories you must meet Daisy Bell and Lucas Thatcher. These two have been battling it out since the first grade. Now these two doctors find themselves back in their hometown hoping to wedge out the other for the local medical practice.

“Roses are red, Daisy is you, I heard you came back, and I did too.”

description

The author nails the humor in this book and I honestly laughed along with a town knowing what Daisy has been missing all the along. These two are perfect for one another when all the hate and games are over however the road there was fresh and creative.

”I’ve decided to use controlled environments to study him, to see if I can figure out his motive for acting the way he has. It’s the closest thing to a date that enemies can have.”

I think readers will be pleasantly pleased with how this story plays out. The banter and antics were well done and the chemistry explosive.

"Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing—slaying me with his mouth."

Overall this is a truly fun rom com read that was perfectly paced and I highly recommend. I dare you not to swoon and smile during this book!

Oh well, there is a reason I love R.S. Grey.

Anything You Can Do was one of her best works! A light-hearted, uplifting, feel-good, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy to make you believe in love and sunshine and soulmates! Not to mention that Doctor Mc. Dreamy, aka Lucas Thatcher, looks like Henry Cavill.

I'm such a goner.
“Roses are red.
Daisy is you,
I heard you came back,
and I did too.”

Lucas Thatcher and Daisy Bell have been in competition since the day they were born. Literally. They have devoted their lives in besting each other using any means necessary, and after eleven years apart, they finally returned to their home town as mighty doctors claiming the same practice. The only practice. And thus a new era in their competition begins, but this time it's full of tension, stolen kisses and feelings Daisy cannot comprehend. What if her nemesis is everything she's ever wanted? What if Lucas Thatcher is caring and wickedly delicious instead of the cold bastard she'd always believed? Will they set aside their differences for a chance together?
“You listen here, Lucas Thatcher. I hate you, but you're going to kiss me. You're going to kiss me and you're not going to stop.”

With Anything You Can Do, R.S. Grey returned to her golden rule.
Daisy and Lucas' story was:

Sweet . Tightness in your chest, rapid heartbeat, butterflies dancing in your stomach, warmth spreading in your veins and every cell in your body, and you fall in love with them, dream, hope, sigh and maybe, for a moment, you forget that you're going to spend Valentine's Day eating hamburgers in your comfy pyjamas.

Sexy . Fluffiness is not all you get. It all started with a kiss in the corridor, but it escalated quickly and before you even knew it, your cheeks were ablaze and your mouth dry, and this time you couldn't forget your miserable love life. You just lived vicariously through Daisy.
That lucky bitch.

Funny . So, so funny. This novel was full of amusing moments, witty banters and incidents that cracked you up and put a smile on your face that refused to go away. It was there the entire time, whether there were rotten fruit involved or school dances (in this case there were also happy tears), and it never left. You can still feel it creeping on your lips.
“You've been so blinded by the competition you've built up in your own head, you can't see what's right in front of you-what's been there the whole fucking time.”

Daisy, albeit a little blind, was an entertaining and likable heroine, that sucked you in her narration and her journey to find love, a love that was in front of her since she was a little girl. But Lucas was my star. He was adorable, a dreamy book-boyfriend who at first looked like an asshole but later, through his e-mails and his small and big gestures stole my heart. Did I mention he looks like Henry Cavill?
“I am the Annie Oakley to his Frank Butler and I firmly believe that anything he can do, I can do better.”

Thank you, R.S. Grey, for another wonderful story!

Anything You Can Do is only the second R.S. Grey book I’ve read, but after reading it, I need to get to more of them! I love this author’s humor and writing style. This story was so much fun. A highly entertaining and romantic enemies-to-lovers read!
“Roses are red, Daisy is you, I heard you came back, and I did too.”

When Daisy comes back to town after med school to run the town’s family practice, that last thing she expects is for her long-time rival, Lucas, to be here doing the same thing. Lucas and Daisy have been each other’s competition from the time they were kids. It’s a not so friendly competition and everyone knows about it. Daisy is best friend’s with Lucas’s sister, so they’re always connected.

These two cracked me up. Seriously, Daisy is so funny. Her antics made me laugh out loud so many times. And I adored Lucas. I could tell there was so much more to him than what Daisy showed us (as the story is mostly told by her- aside from some letters/emails). When these two finally kissed- I swear, I thought they would combust. All of that passion and energy going to something other than their rivalry… *fans self*
“Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing—slaying me with his mouth.”

I couldn’t wait to see what would happen with these two. I had the best time listening to this book. I love stories that not only make you laugh and feel, but keep you entertained and this one did just that. From start to finish. The audio book was great. It was narrated by two new to me narrators- Kimberly Roelle and Joshua Kumler. Both did a great job voicing Daisy and Lucas.

If you’re looking for a fabulous romantic comedy that has steam, humor, and heart, pick up Anything You Can Do. I truly enjoyed every minute I spent listening to this one!
The last two people who knew Lucas and Daisy were going to end up together forever were Lucas and Daisy.

This was a book that I got to read for free while I was trying out the old Amazon Prime for a few months, and it turned out to be a really cute story!
You know that annoying guy you grew up with?

description

Ok, for Daisy that (literal) boy next door is Lucas Thatcher. Their rivalry started in the crib and solidified itself into a raging feud that the entire town was well aware of by the time they were in grade school.

description

So, when it was time for them to go to college, everyone breathed a sigh of relief that there was now going to be a big chunk of the United States separating these two. Because by this time, it was obvious that Daisy and Lucas couldn't even be in the same room without World War III breaking out.

description

Fast forward several years and Daisy triumphantly returns home to take over as the new doctor in her small town's family medical practice. She's achieved exactly what she set out to do when she left for college and nothing is standing in the way of her happiness.
Life. Is. Good.

description

Right up till the bouquet of flowers (daisies!) and snarky message from Lucas arrives at her celebration party - along with the knowledge that she won't be running this practice by herself.
Because guess who else finished medical school and came back determined to become the hometown doctor?

description

Of course, this means war.
And the war was hilarious!
I really wanted to find another book along the lines of The Hating Game and this was one of the 1st recommendations to pop up after I finished it. And for good reason! This had a righteous dose of the same brand of I-hate-you-sex-much that made THG such a huge winner for me.

description

The only reason it didn't get all 5 stars was because I thought the fight left Lucas a bit too soon. I get that he didn't quite harbor the same sort of crazed hostility that Daisy did, but it would have been awesome for that back-and-forth to last a little longer.
You blew your wad too soon, dude!

description

On the other hand, it seemed like Daisy was being obnoxiously obstinate about her feelings for far too long. There was such a disproportionate gap between those two when it came to emotions that she just came off looking a tad ridiculous. And not in the Hahaha way. It got to the point where I was mentally urging her to grow the fuck up and moooooove it along already...

description

My 2 other main complaints are possible spoilers:

However, none of those things were dealbreakers for me. I would still absolutely not hesitate to recommend this one to anyone who's in the market for a fluffy, humorous, fun romance, and I'm definitely going to read more from this author!

❝I love you, which seems crazy because up until about four days ago, I really thought I hated you. But when you think about it, love and hate aren’t so very different, right? To love someone is to strive to be a better person for them, and isn’t that what our hateful little competition has been about the whole time?❞

Thank you so much to Rachel (R.S. Grey) for sending me an ARC to review! <3

Ahhh! I can't get over how great this book was. I AM OBSESSED. I loved everything, every minute of it, from the first page up until the very last. I honestly couldn't put this down and finished the whole story in one sitting. I've been looking for a story that would satisfy my Hating Game withdrawals for about a month now but have wound up unsuccessful until today. I think it's definitely safe to say that this book satisfied those book cravings and more!

Anything You Can Do was like The Hating Game meets Grey's Anatomy. If that description doesn't make you want to pick up this book, then I don't know what will. The characters, Daisy and Lucas, reminded me so much of the characters from The Hating Game. It was the same funny, playful banter and clever comebacks. I was laughing so hard throughout this book more than I ever did for The Hating Game. Add just a little sprinkle of Grey's Anatomy on top and you have Anything You Can Do! Just don't expect anything like Tracheoesophageal Fistula or Scrotal Lymphedema to make an appearance in this book. This is supposed to be a romantic comedy after all! :P But we've got doctors, witty comebacks, and steamy sex. That's right. The sex scenes in this book are pretty stinking steamy. The Hating Game was tame and rated PG compared to Anything You Can Do. So if smut isn't your thing, then... just turn away for a couple pages or put up with it because I promise the rest of the story is absolutely hilarious and worth it!

❝It was never about the war and it was never about beating you. I just wanted to have you any way I could.❞

As for the characters themselves, the tension between Daisy and Lucas was through the roof. Although there were definitely some steamy scenes, there were some very cute moments as well that had me grinning like an idiot. I did find Daisy a little immature for her 28 year old self but I didn't mind it very much because some of the things she did or said had me bursting out with laughter in the end. Lucas was a babe! I fell head over heels for Josh from The Hating Game but Lucas gave him a run for his money because I was just drooling for him the entire time. Smart, funny, sexy, AND he's a doctor??? I kept picturing Doctor Mike (LOOK. HIM. UP) as Lucas and was just fantasizing, sighing, and swooning. All at once. THIS BOOK GUYS. THIS BOOK.

R.S. Grey is an absolute champ at making you die from laughter in all of her novels. Pick up any book that has her name on the front cover and I guarantee you'll be chuckling throughout each and every one of them. They are the very definition of the perfect romantic comedies. Anything You Can Do was such a fun book to read and was even better than I was anticipating it to be. Rachel never disappoints with her books and if you're looking for a quick, fun romance book to read, I can't find anyone better to recommend. She is such a splendid writer and has a way of knowing how to make her audience laugh. I highly recommend Anything You Can Do for readers searching for an enemies-to-lovers type of story!

Review at Of Pens and Pages.

Anything You Can Do is a hot, hilarious, and addictive enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy about childhood rivals, Daisy Bell and Lucas Thatcher. After years in college, med school, and residency, Daisy is back in Hamilton, Texas, to take over the only family practice in town. She’s worked hard to be where she is, and now that she’ll soon take over Dr. McCormick’s family practice, nothing will get in the way of that. Right before she starts her practice, her best friend and Lucas’ sister, Madeleine, drops the bomb and tells her that not only is Lucas back in town, he’s going to work at the same practice as Daisy.

Daisy always thought she’s the only one taking over the family practice, and she still plans to go that way. Now the two are back at it again, but this time, instead of grades and sports, they’re fighting over the sole ownership of the practice.

The days go on where the two try to one up each other. Like when they were kids, sparks fly when they’re sparring, but this time there’s an almost suffocating sexual tension hovering above them. It only takes 24 hours in a room together to make them give in.

This book left me grinning and laughing like a total whacko! Anything You Can Do had R.S. Grey’s effortless humor and engaging narrative that had me hooked. I loved the long foreplay between the two, and the tension was sizzling!

It reminded me of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, another story I’ve absolutely loved! The couple’s antics are hilariously absurd, but it was entertaining to see them go head-to-head.

Both MCs were likable, but Lucas Thatcher now has a special place in my heart. He’s confident, smart, and he’s a freaking doctor who wears Clark Kent glasses! Plus he’s sweet, charming, and hot as f*k. This man just made me swoon!

Daisy pretty much goads Lucas into their fights because it’s what she’s known to do her whole life. It was a relief to see her go to her senses about why she’s been fighting Lucas so much.

Love and hate aren’t so very different, right? To love someone is to strive to be a better person for them, and isn’t that what our hateful little competition has been about the whole time?”

I was laughing and giggling throughout the story, but the epilogue pretty much killed me with its sweetness! It was so right.

The story was mostly told in Daisy’s POV, but we get a glimpse of Lucas’ thoughts through his unsent e-mails. If you’re looking for a light, fun, and sexy hate-to-love romance with witty banter and amazing sex, you’ll definitely enjoy Anything You Can Do!

If you are in the mood for a cute and cheesy romance. Put on your jammies, grab some chocolate and your snuggie, and settle in for this one. You will definitely smile as you read.

Who the hell watches television when there are books to be read?

It's the enemies-to-lovers trope, and it's a whole lot of fun.

We have the narration of Daisy, who has been in competition with the boy next door, Lucas, all of their lives. They are a nightmare for everyone around them. They made a school counselor quit her job after trying to make them get along. Their mutual hate is so epic that even when they both return after 11 years of being away, people are talking about it. Man, I'm jealous. I totally don't even have a nemesis these days. I need to get me one of those, but I'm too damn likable. It's my cross to bear.

Some things are just hard to hate..

This book made me laugh a lot. Daisy is a total dork who reminds me of Wile E Coyote or something. She is always coming up with evil plans, and they are always blowing up in her face. Lucas is just plain delicious. He supposedly looks like Henry Cavill.

I'm totally going to hell for this one. Worth it! ;)

You know how book characters are always describing how the other one smells? It's all roses and sunshine, lavender and rain, leather and new car scent, etc...
Well, I love Daisy's description of how Lucas smells:

He smells like he just showered in the wilderness and dried off with freshly laundered woodland creatures.

Best smell description ever!

The book was just fluffy fun!

I'm disappointed. The only reason I read this was because I've read so many reviews saying it's like The Hating Game and I adore this book. But no, it's really not like the The Hating Game, at least for me. The only similarity is that it's an enemies-to-lovers book.

One word that perfectly describes the book for me: Meh.

The book was easy and fast to read. This is my first R.S. Grey book and I quite enjoyed her writing. I expected to laugh out loud while reading this book, but I literally laughed once. Oh well. Also, the angst that you'd expect? There was none. The book just fell flat.

My main problem with this book was the female MC, Daisy. She is hands-down one of the most childish and immature MCs I have ever read about. She's supposedly 27 years old (or 28, doesn't really matter anyway) but she acted like a 17 year old 99% of the times. I couldn't stand her. As for the male MC, Lucas, I liked him and he's okay. I don't really have anything else to say about him.

I only started enjoying the book when the drama happened, which you know is usually near the end of all romance books. From that mark till the end, I was enjoying it. But it definitely wasn't enough for me to love the book.

Oh well.

The last two people who knew Lucas and Daisy were going to end up together forever were Lucas and Daisy.

Story 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Daisy and Lucas hate each other.
They’re enemies, more than that. Nemesis.
Since day one day competed against each other and now they’re forced to work with each other as doctors in their hometown.
Daisy thinks that this is how hell looks like. But she would never give up this fight.
Lucas isn’t a small young boy anymore - now he is a grown man with a handsome smile and a breathtaking body.
Daisy is more than ever ready to destroy him. But hate and love are so so similar.
Lucas smile don’t look like he wants to harm her. And suddenly Daisy can feel this tension between them. And it isn’t so bad at all...

I read this on two flights this weekend and I’m pleasantly surprised. My friend Warda recommended me this book (and this author) and I’m really happy that I read it.
It was entertaining and the flight hours were over so fast because this book hooked me from the start.
It’s definitely for anyone that wants some romance, humor and steamy moments.

Character 🌟🌟🌟
I don’t quite know what to think of Daisy. I guess when I started reading about her I thought she seemed a little childish. But in the end she admitted how selfish and sometimes childish she was and I guess only people with a good personality do this.
Lucas was a really nice gentleman with a handsome smile and a hot body. He tried his best to play Daisy’s games, but when she needed his help he was always there.
All in all i think the characters were not perfect and a little plain, but I think I liked them.

Relationships 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I’m a sucker for hate-to-love book. Always was, always will be. And this two really were hating each other since day one. They competed against each other, fought a childish war, but when they finally realize their hate was actually love, it was kind of cute.

Writing style 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ah, well. This wasn’t my favorite writing, but it was still really really good. It was funny, entertaining and cute.
We read in Daisy’s POV and I think that made Daisy the more important character, even though Lucas was a main character too. We didn’t get to read what he thought about all the situations.... but we did get a little bit of insight. We got a few emails he didn’t send Daisy and they were kind of the cutest thing ever?
All in all I’m really satisfied.
I will definitely read another book of this author.

Hilarious and loveable love/hate story that I devoured in one night. The only thing that dropped a star in my greedy, picky and high maintenance taste is that Yeah... that didn't hit my swoon button BUT it still gave me an entertaining and fun time reading it, so all turned out well and it was only a minor blip in my enjoyability radar.

Told mainly in the h's 1st person POV, with short snippets of the H's unsent email/messages to the h, scattered in between. The ending had a lovely epilogue that was a HFN that I felt at peace with. Recommended to those who love their romcoms mixed with love/hate and total denial on the h's part.

➦This was my first book by R.S. Grey- *bows head in shame* - but what a wonderful romcom it turned out to be! I'm a big fan of banter, humor and all things OTT and this fantastic little read delivered on all fronts!

➦I'll keep it short. Two doctors return to their home town in hopes of taking over the only medical practice in town. They have been childhood nemeses and now they are forced to "battle it out" yet again. But there's a thin line between love and hate and sometimes we can't see something that's right in front of us.

➦I've laughed out loud quite a bit and, overall, really enjoyed this story along with its characters. Recommended to anyone who likes romantic comedies with enemies to lovers tropes and workplace romances.

I absolutely love a book that is easy to read, full of laughs, sweet, and flows so smoothly. This story is beautiful. A love that was hidden under all the competition and all the chaos of growing up together from the day you were born. Lucas & Daisy have a unique competitive relationship that turns into a lifetime love.

4.5 Love to Hate You Stars

“I know your brother—probably much better than you do. We will never get along. 11 years apart is nothing. It has changed nothing. If anything, it’s given our animosity time to mature like a fine wine—or better yet, a stinky cheese.”

Oh Daisy. Sweet, clueless Daisy.

Lucas and Daisy have had a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship from the moment Lucas was chosen line leader over Daisy in pre-k. From the name calling in grade school to the intentional tripping during cross country practices in high school, these two have developed the kind of relationship that leads their friends to bet on how long they can be left in the same room together without killing each other. Sure, both seem unusually interested in who the other happens to be dating at the time, but that doesn’t mean anything.

It doesn’t!

When recent med school grad Daisy gets the opportunity to come home and take over her hometown medical practice, she jumps at the chance. What she didn’t expect was to be working side by side with fellow med school grad and bane of her existence, Lucas. At first, Daisy’s “life can suck it!” attitude doesn’t bode well for her new endeavor, but then she realizes all she has to do is beat Lucas at his own game. Based on their three decades long history, that should be a snap, right?

I will be free to write a new script. I will be Daisy Bell, gracious winner, beautiful taker-of-the-high-road. I won’t rub his face in it or gloat. I will just forget about him.
Dear God, please let me forget about him.

Anything You Can Do was definitely a right time, right place kind of book for me. I needed the snarky humor and I wanted the promise of a sweet story once all of Daisy’s misguided crap fell away. Luckily for me, that’s exactly what I got.

I love romantic comedies but I’ve been a little overwhelmed lately by books trying for TOO MANY over the top moments crammed into one story. I like to laugh but I hate getting a case of the cringes when I read. Who wants to feel awkward for the majority of a book? R.S. Grey managed to find the perfect balance between funny and cringe-worthy here and the result is a highly entertaining and easy read.

Oh! Oh, this book. With every page I turned, I could feel myself getting happier and happier.

description

I can’t remember who’s responsible for having this pop up on my updates feed but whoever you are - thank you. Thank you so much for prompting me to read this. I’ll send you a virtual fruit basket. No wait. A box of doughnuts. Delicious, glazed doughnuts with sprinkles on top. Because this, my friends, was exactly what I needed. I’ve been itching for a good romance, light and fun and sexy because the books I’ve been reading lately certainly were none of those things. Anything You Can Do, though...Hot damn. I’m sitting here in my bathtub filled with ice water, still blushing like a naughty school girl in Sunday school because fuck me, this was HOT. The chemistry between our MC Daisy and our hunky love interest Lucas was off the charts!

I’m a big fan of the enemies to lovers trope and this certainly is one of the best ones I’ve read so far. This is the kind of story that makes your tummy flip, your palms sweat and that leaves you with a big fat grin on your face. I can hardly sit still I’m so giddy.

Daisy is hilarious and stubborn and ok, she does come across as a little unhinged sometimes but I really liked her. And Lucas *sigh* He was such a yummy, perfect guy to swoon over who turned my insides to mush. These two together were so damn entertaining with their little war and sexy banter, I just couldn’t get enough. And did I mention that this was hot? The steamy scenes - and there were a lot of them - were juicy and awesome and I don’t think it’s because of my smut deprived brain that I enjoyed them so much.

You know, I can never make up my mind whether I prefer a dual POV in my romance reads or not. On the one hand I like being just as in the dark as our MC about the love interest’s feelings but on the other hand seeing the situation from both sides can be damn entertaining, too. I loved how it was done here. We don’t get a dual POV per se but we do get a little something. I don’t want to say what exactly since it came as a nice surprise to me.

So, to end this little fangirl review, I’m giving this five stars, because it ticked all my boxes. The fact that this book came to me at the exact right time might have something to do with my exceptional excitement over it as well, but I’m convinced that this is, objectively, still really entertaining.

This was a solid hate-to-love romance with a likable, often times hilarious female MC, and a non-douchey male lead who was made even more endearing via the small snippets of his perspective.

Definitely a good rec for fans of The Hating Game.

A delightful enemies-to-lovers gem. Anything You Can Do is sure to yield continuous smiles with R.S. Grey’s cleverness, a heroine with a zany shrewdness and a very worthy adversary you’ll swoon over.

Lucas Thatcher and Daisy Bell have been competing since day one. That’s right, they were adversaries in anything and everything since the day they were born until they left to college on opposite sides of the country. But now they’re back in their home town and the stakes are higher as they’re both vying for the same job and there isn’t a limit on the arsenal they’ll employ. From plying the staff with coffee and donuts to weakening each other’s defenses with sensual attacks against walls or on kitchen islands. Who will win this battle of the heart?
“Love and hate aren’t so very different, right? To love someone is to strive to be a better person for them, and isn’t that what our hateful little competition has been about the whole time?”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Enemies-to-lovers romances are highly enjoyable when well written and R.S. Grey’s newest release is addicting with just the right mix of delicious sexual tension, funny and clever banter and charming romance.

Daisy Bell felt triumphant when she came back to her home town knowing that she’d accomplished her ultimate dream to have her own medical practice. She just didn’t count on sharing it with her lifelong nemesis Lucas Thatcher.

He was supposed to stay on his side of the continent. He was supposed to still be the dweeb she used to tease not the smart, charismatic hunk of a man that made her girly parts come alive with his mere presence. I loved them both as they were equally endearing in their own way.
"Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing—slaying me with his mouth."

Never taking her eye off the prize though, Daisy formulated a plan to run him out of town for good but it was difficult to put it in effect with the volatile chemistry between them. Even after they explosive attraction got the better of them Daisy’s pride was persistent until she finds out Lucas’ true motivations for always wanting to be her competition and Daisy must decide what her true prize is.
❝It was never about the war and it was never about beating you. I just wanted to have you any way I could.❞

The story’s flow was impeccable. It was almost impossible for me to put the book down and I couldn’t stop smiling from the nonstop crazy fun rivalry between the two to the cute and deliciously steamy moments.

Anything You Can Do is standalone contemporary romance by R.S. Grey. It is amusing and hot. A fantastic rom-com. Told mostly from the heroine’s point of view.

I AM SCREAMING.

Ok, so maybe I'm not actually screaming. (If I were I think it would be safe to say I'd be writing this review from the very uncomfortable position of my sister's chokehold, considering she has a Biology A Level exam tomorrow). But because I loved this book soo freaking much, I'm screaming, it's just purely internal.

That being said, the frequent fits of giggles I collapsed into (sans my sister's hands wrapped around my throat) were purely external and earned me some rather questionable and envious looks from said sibling. This romance is hilarious.

He reaches the door first and I predict he will step inside and lock it behind him. Instead, he steps back and holds it open for me.
I know it’s just an act. Chivalry is dead. Lucas killed it.

From the very beginning of this book, I was grinning like a fool, hooked on this amazingly written story following two enemies as they become lovers. Lucas and Daisy had a perfectly flawed relationship. There was minimal drama, maximal shirtlessness.

I devoured it in a matter of hours. I have no regrets.

In all honesty, I wish that Daisy hadn't been written as the villain in there (I mean, how the fuck could she have known? Huh? ) but even if I had to grit my teeth during some scenes because the ANNOYANCE, you guys!, it was still a fun and smile-inducing ride. Oh my god. I am going soft, am I not?

Daisy Bell grew up in the small town of Hamilton, Texas. After many years away she moves back home to follow her dream of having her own private practice. Daisy has worked hard to become the best doctor she can be, and now that the local Dr. McCormick is planning to retire soon, she hopes to take over his practice. He owns the only family practice in town.

 photo DAC2FA43-EC7A-4E1A-84C8-13226F756F61_zpsp62vr3ou.png

Daisy is totally blindsided when she finds out she isn't the only doctor hired. She will be working with her nemesis Lucas Thatcher. Lucas has been the bane of her existence since birth. They've despised each other & competed for as long as she can remember. She grew up living next door to Lucas her entire life & hoped to avoid him for a lifetime. She hadn't seen him in about eleven years, but surely they can put aside their childish animosity & be professional. Daisy moved back thinking this practice was as good as hers. She doesn't want to share it, & needs to figure a way to run Lucas out of town.

 photo E179CE44-1024-4A4A-B515-2FCFB394DA3E_zpseilpeq2r.jpg

Daisy is stunned speechless when she comes face to face with the new improved Lucas. He's all man & gorgeous as ever, but they clearly still hate each other. Their rivalry has evolved over the years, & it's soon clear everything is still a competition between them. They declare war and soon things get a little complicated when a hot as hell kiss changes everything. The sexual tension between these two explodes & they start to both have feelings for one another they can't explain or deny. I loved this frenemies to lovers story. It was super hot & Lucas was delicious as ever!

 photo 98B66FC4-ADDF-4E22-8287-061041420C67_zpsfkgytm4j.jpg

-I'm stunned by just how handsome the years have made him.

-I am behind enemy lines and I feel alive.

-Lucas somehow knows exactly how to touch me.

-Lucas' lips are like a sleeve of Oreos: you know you shouldn't have them at all, but you can't stop with just one taste.

-He is a walking dream, and he is mine.

It might seem like these words of Tina Turner's song could easily describe the notion in this book
What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a sweet old fashioned notion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken

But then again…you’d be dead wrong…cause it’s inevitable for Daisy and Lucas…
It may seem to you
That I'm acting confused
When you're close to me
If I tend to look dazed
I've read it someplace
I've got cause to be

There's a name for it
There's a phrase that fits
But whatever the reason
You do it for me

And in fact, what might seem like hate or animosity is just another side of the same coin… And it has EVERYTHING to do with LOVE…*wink*

Anything you can do by R.S. Grey is a truly funny romantic comedy with interesting sassy banter and bickering between the two frenemies Daisy Blue and Lucas Thatcher , who kept developing this relentless competition going on through out their 28 years of life with a break of 11 years (while in college), but when they see each other again as they both return into their hometown applying for the same job as MDs in the local clinic of Family Medicine Practice, the „war“ continues as it has never been on pause. What transpires next is the relationship that is clearly tense and electrified, filled with sassy attitudes, funny dialogues, sexual innuendos and quirky outbursts until the tension is too much to stand…
“Listen, Romeo, I'm only using you. I need you to fall for me. I want you to hand your heart over willingly do I can break it. That way, you'll leave and give me the practice.“ – Daisy –

„What a coincidence, Daisy. I'm only using you. I want to fuck with you. Make you fall in love with me. So that when I break your heart, you'll leave and give me the practice. And believe me, I really want to fuck with you.“ - Lucas -

and they still fight against the obvious…but Daisy is so "job-getting" driven and so overwhelmed with the whole competition and winning in this war with Lucas, that she's clouded from seeing the real reason for all the comotion between them. Throw in a little bit of misunderstanding, the temperature and tension change its course with the obvious revelation
What are we fighting for? The job? Hometown hero? Over the years I've lost track, and I never really minded because for me, it was never about the war and it was never about beating you. I just wanted to have you any way I could.

Cause the funny thing is, the pespective of their „interactions“ was absolutely clear to everyone around them…but not to them, until it was the right time for her to finally „see“ it the way it trully is.
The last two people who knew Lucas and Daisy were going to end up together forever were Lucas and Daisy

Even though, at times, I found the heroine a bit „too“ quirky in a sense she was acting a bit immaturely and at times I felt the pacing took too long until event resolvement, i think this is a perfect book for any lazy afternoon with a hot chocolate beside you. It's quirky, it's sassy, it's funny and it's sexy, a perfect blend of different tastes that will pull you into a giggle, a sentimental grin, or a sigh or in my case, a simple Chesire-cat smile. *wink*

This was refreshing "enemies to lovers" story...i especially enjoyed the funny banter, the pranks, bickering and quite an exquisite humor!

reread: 23/05/19

I picked this up because it was compared to The Hating Game, and after my reread of that book, I was desperate for more. Unfortunately, this just missed the mark for me (although I understand why it gets that comparison).

They follow along similar lines, in both books the main characters intensely dislike the other and often battle it out with petty little games and private competition. The difference is, in the Hating Game, every little snipe and banter was hilarious and every prank had me laughing to myself. With this book, it just drove me mad.

The main character, Daisy Bell made me crazy. Everyone of their games just annoyed me a little and their constant arguments!!!! ugh I just couldn't.

I went in trying not to compare anything, but it was so similar it was almost impossible. And don't get me wrong, there were parts that I absolutely adored. When Daisy unearths the home movies I may have shed a few tears and .

And although I get it's meant to be filled with their bickering and dramas, I kind of wish there hadn't been as much.
