THEIR EYES MET
...as flame-haired Janalee glanced ashore and saw Julian O'Connell astride a magnificent stallion. Instantly, his handsome face was etched in her heart, his gaze of blue fire consumed her with yearning, and his masculine power reached out to claim her. The young beauty instinctively knew that he was dangerous — and that he was the only man who could ever make her a woman.

THEIR LIPS TOUCHED
...in a stormy rapturous kiss hat melted Janalee's struggle against Julian's fierce embrace. Against her will, she tangled her fingers in his thick black curls and pressed him even closer to her soft creamy curves. Though part of her realized it was wrong to love this dashing stranger, Janalee couldn't resist. Desire sparked desire, passion ignited passion, and they were swept into the blazing inferno of the wild and raging WINDFIRE

Weak 3. I (mostly) liked the hero; I liked the OW. But the heroine was annoying, the setting was blah (WESTERN ALERT), & the amnesia trope made me want to claw out my eyeballs.

I can handle amnesia if the H/h fall in love while one (or both) doesn't know their identity...but I dislike when the H holds back knowledge of who the h is because she needs to forget her past to let go & adore his peen. Yaaaaawn. Also, creepy. Real Men(tm) win a woman despite their different goals & heritages, not by taking advantage of some bimbo's memory gap to fudge a previous relationship. 🙄 By that point I got annoyed with Julian & didn't care either way if they got their HEA, which sorta ruins the point of any romance novel. (Also, he's only half Latino, since his father was Irish. Booooo!)

Despite my gripes, there were some okay bits & occasional WTFery that entertained...so I rounded up from 2.5 stars. Whatever. I've read worse. *shrug* It's a typical early-80s Zeeb, so expect a story with undercooked characters, overdone setting, & GIANT FONT.
