Viking smut anyone? Me! Me! Me!
He lifted his hand, cupped my cheek, and said in a voice so deep, so masculine I couldn't help but shiver, "You're mine female".
I liked the story!
I don't care that this book is not historical accurate.
I don't care if there were truly bad vikings and good vikings who were fighting each other somewhere, sometime, a long time ago.
They are vikings and this is a fact! Because:
-The names sound viking i.e. Ingrid and Gunnar and their friends Thorsen and Viggo.
-There is a viking ship.
-There is a viking village and a viking hut and viking dry salted pork meat.
-And scattered vikings all around.
So, yes we are talking about vikings in case you didn't get it.
And Ingrid and Gunnar are having a good time together in the viking bathing tub.

"And you feel good under my, my Viking."

So with a title like Viking you had to know this would most likely be a historical.
And it definitely was that!
Was it historically accurate?
Hell no!
And do you think I care about that?
Hell NO!
Why?
Maybe because it HOT and sensual and pushed all the right buttons,
OH, HELL YEAH!
THE STORY WAS SO HOT AND SHORT BUT SWEET!
Worth a read this might be my favorite from this series to date!

This was a very quick read...exactly what I was looking for; short and smutty!
If you are looking for a read that takes about an hour to get through, and it has a lot of steam... then look no further! Jenika Snow's short stories reminds me a lot of Alexa Riley's. So if you are a fan of AR give this a try!

This series has not disappointed me! Of all of these books that I've enjoyed, this was favorite yet!

I'm rating this book 4 stars. This was short, sweet, and drama free. I really enjoyed reading this. Ingrid and Gunnar have great chemistry. And for a short book less than 100 pages the characters were developed enough. The only two reasons this wasn't 5 stars is 1 that this book wasn't historical accurate at all (Real Vikings never had horned helmets). And the second is it wasn't romantizy more lusty. Overall though I enjoyed reading this and it got me out of my book rut.
Side note: The cover isn't good for this book. Like come on tattoos weren't invented

I wanted something short and smutty, so I definitely got it in this book with a side of fun too. Even thought it wouldn't call this book historical (lol!), this was my first Viking book and I enjoyed the light cultural references.
I like that the story wasn't sugary sweet. I do wish for more fight scene though since it's Viking and all haha! There was a lot of teasing and the actual sex scene took a while to happen, but I was pretty happy with it.
Viking is a tale of a warrior staking his claim (figuratively and literally :p). It would appeal for readers looking for light period smut.

I think this is my favorite in the series so far. Gunnar was absolutely perfect in every way and I loved Ingrid too. It's a historical romance and I did notice a few times some more "modern" verbiage but who cares! I loved it anyway.

I've just read a book I really loved and thought I might not enjoy the next one as much as I did with that book but I was wrong because I really love this one too. I liked this series and so far, this is my favorite. I want more like this.
The story is about Gunnar and Ingrid.
Her village was attacked by raiders and she was their next victim but Gunnar saved her and claimed her as his wife.
He's a viking, a brutal warrior but he's so sweet with her, so caring and so gentle. Like the blurb says, the story is totally unbelievable and holds no real historical facts but it doesn't matter. I loved it! It was perfect! Gunnar is so perfect! Swoon!
Plus it has a lovely epilogue.

For a short, smutty read this was almost too sweet. Gunnar laid claim to Ingrid from the very first look. Instead of being cold and dominating, like you would expect from a Viking, he was very protective and all about her care and comfort. You saw hints of his dominant behavior in his thoughts but he never really had to follow through since Ingrid was all for being captured by Gunnar. I certainly don't blame her. It's very short so you don't get a lot of story, but there's enough to give you that romantic fix.

I love this Real Man series by Snow and this book was no exception. Gunnar is a hot Viking that knows Ingrid is his from the moment he saves her. Their love for each other is all consuming. Can't wait for the next in this series.

I wanted to read something short, then I read the title and I was "Nice! Viking-related short story! Count me in!"... So imagine my disappointment when I started reading Gunnar and Ingrid's story and I found myself strangling to keep up and not fall asleep... way to boring for my current mood...
Also, there some inconsistencies in the character development that really bugged me, e.g. language barrier gone "poof".

Awww this one was another sweet one and reminded me of my slight Viking obsession. Gunnar is just perfect and sweet little Ingrid is a doll. Gunnar makes the perfect gentleman Viking and now I’m on a mission to find out if those every really existed!

I took a mini break from the real men now im back with the next read!!! This one is pretty short little plot and little steam.
Ingrid has watched her whole village be destroyed by some blood thirst Vikings so she tries to escape but is sorta captured but before anything can happen to her shes saved by Gunner another Viking and his Brothers. Gunner makes sure his woman is safe and gives her a choice come with him or walk away and find anyone from her village thats alive. She stays with Gunner since she feels some connection for him.
And like above it goes 0 to 100!! And pretty much thats it. And her living happily ever after with his Viking brothers.
No ow/om drama, no cheating ,Tiny Drama, sexy times, virgin gal idk if he was a virgin?
Recommend- maybe

Y'all, what the fuck is this? It's so poorly written and unbelievable that my forehead aches from keeping my eyebrows raised for so long.
OK so first of all, the title is not a metaphor like I assumed. It's really about Vikings. Offensively inaccurate Vikings that have zero basis in historical fact.

When I realized this book would be a historical.. I squealed!
But then.. short stories and historicals usually don't do it for me.
Insta love story of Ingrid and Gunnar, the Viking.
Mostly wham bam semen HEA breeding. Same plot, different era.

I love me some Viking!
Really good story. As with all the books in this series this can be read as a standalone since none of the characters cross into other books. I do wish that the stories were longer and the characters and plot be more developed.

Jenika Snow is my go to author when I need just a quick read that is full of drama, spice, love, and smut.
She can roll everything into one short story and every single one I’ve read so far is absolutely brilliant.
If you want loyal ass men that have eyes for only one woman and would do absolutely anything to help her and keep her? All her stories (that I’ve read) end up in the cutest HEAs as well.

HOT!!! If you're looking for plot/angst or any drama this is not for you. If you want to imagine Khal Drogo and Daenerys for the span of a novella with a HEA then this is for you! (I should probably give full disclosure that I always picture Khal Drogo).
