Bridget Taylor was excited to be on a trip to Idaho for her twin sister’s wedding. While they didn’t always get along when they were together, they missed each other terribly when they were apart. Soon after her arrival, her sister Kaya introduced her to a man she thought she’d be compatible with, but the twinkle in Kaya’s eye worried Bridget. Exactly who was she setting her up with? When she saw the man for the first time, her heart caught in her throat, sinking just as quickly when she realized his profession. Kevin Roberts had known for years that he would end up being a pastor. When he found out River’s End Ranch, a beautiful destination ranch in Northern Idaho, was hiring a pastor, he couldn’t pass up the job. After his first couple of months on the ranch a buddy’s wife introduced him to her sister, and knew immediately the sister had to be his wife. But what were her hang ups with him being a pastor? And could he convince her that marrying him was the right thing for both of them?
We finally get to meet Kaya’s twin sister, and two sisters could not be further apart in most things – except their love for each other. Bridget is outspoken, with no filter between thought and spoken word. She truly is what you see and you can take her or leave her, but she’s not about to change. With an intense need for shrimp forks and Disney princess movies, Bridget is truly one of a kind. And she’s going to need a unique man who will take her just as she is – for life.
Kevin is the pastor at the small church located in Old West Town on the River’s End Ranch Resort’s property. While he doesn’t have a true congregation, he does perform all the duties of a pastor with sermons some Sundays and marriages for guests, and destination weddings. He’s really good about filling in for other positions around the resort when needed. And he’s simply a good man from a past that might have broken many people. He’s one of the good guys and he’s just met the woman he’s convinced he’ll marry one day soon. Now he needs an education on the best Disney princess ever.
I enjoyed Bridget’s Beau. Like her relationship with her sister, Kevin is the opposite of Bridget in so many ways but still he’s the perfect man for her. She didn’t scare him off with her outspoken ways, she’s gotten him to watch Disney princess movies to decide which is the ultimate best princess – and she’s falling fast. In spite of Bridget’s brashness, it was refreshing to see her second guess herself in the role that she’d be taking on as a pastor’s wife. It’s not always an easy role, but especially for a woman who speaks her mind. They balance each other, and in the end that and their love is all that truly matters.
It’s always fun to run into the entire crew. And a delightful surprise to get an update on May, one of Kaya and Liz’s friends and writing buddies. I’d hoped for a separate book for May, but it was nice to learn her fate. If you love Romance then this is a series you’ll want to get on-board with soon. Solid love stories, likable main couples and a cast of secondary characters who will soon become old friends. Consider reading this series in order, though, for often events and couples from previous books will make an appearance in the current one.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
So it's the turn for Kaya's crazy sister, Bridget the Midget. Kaya is waiting for her to be part of her wedding reception, and she also has the perfect man for her. As soon as she sees him, she knows he is right for her, but unlike her sister, she resists the connection. Bridget is just as annoying as her sister, not as dramatic, but just as obsessed with her ideas. This book wasn't as bad as the other one, but the situations were still very annoying. I know that crazy people exist, but the one the writer writes about are just over the top.
I have read this recent series off and on. I read 2-4 books, go off and read something else, and then return to the series. Because of that my brain can get a little foggy on the character couples. But they have all been pretty interesting.
This one focuses on a twin with a Disney Princess obsession. The quirky nature of some twin relationships is played up. A true fairytale HEA.
"...but you just can’t trust men to name children. Dad kept begging me to name you two Lucretia and Leia.”
"So he could call us Luke and Leia? The man is an evil genius!”
I would never pick Bridget to be a pastor's wife, she is so unique, so unlike her twin Kaya. But when the fairies speak, who can disobey? Bridget is a very independent woman and I look forward to reading 📚more about her in future books. Kevin was smitten, he knows that she is meant just for him, even if she will not be a 'normal' pastor's wife.
In Kaya's story, Bridget was portrayed as even worse than she was in this book. The sisters just absolutely didn't get along at all and were horrible to each other but then have to live in the same area? Just didn't make sense and Bridget was beyond odd - what grown woman goes around watching Disney movies for dates?
It is an okay short read. We meet Bridget in this book. Her fraternal twin Kaya in a previous book. Bridget is very off the wall and almost obsessed with people being either Cinderella or Belle fans. She meets Pastor Kevin and there is romance ahead. Bridget was an character that was really to far off the wall for me to enjoy. It is nice to see previous characters popping up in the series.
This book is by far the stupidest of all the River's End Ranch books. I can't believe that the author even turned in this story. Kristen, you're so much better than this!
This was a fun romance with adorable characters and heartwarming story of two different type people who make each other better because they are different and they complement each other.
Bridget Taylor never thought when she went to we sisters wedding reception she would fall in love. Kevin Roberts is a Pastor & she doesn't think she an be a Pastor 's wife. Great story.
This is sort of a cutesy style story. The story is about twin sisters and a pastor. When the single sister finds herself attracted to the pastor, the rest of the story is about their time spent together during her stay at the Ranch is limited
Well another finished, very great I'm enjoying reading these books by different authors each one she how this series is coming and ad come together, loving different story lines and the people as well as the Ranch I wish I could go there.
Thank You for letting me know you had more Books Out For This Series. I have enjoyed them all. As You Are One Of My Favorite Writers. I Will keep enjoying them. Thanks Again Shirley Ketcham
Beautiful love story. I adored Bridgett and her hilarity, and Kevin and his love for her. This was a very fun and lighthearted read, perfect for everyone!
You always have good stories but if heard any more about Disney princesses I thought I'd scream. No man is going to watch all those movies unless he's with his kids. It was a little overboard.
As always, I enjoyed your latest book. Very nice series. You have done an excellent job of continuing the on going stories of different characters. Sweet love story, well written for the ranches pastor.
Is like what Kevin done for Bridget a Cinderella theme and I was sad that she wanted to wait to answer. I glad she was in God's house and with his help found that she could be a preachers wife. Now please have a story for Dani and Wade
