Using a question-and-answer format, presents information about the manga and anime series featuring Edward Elric and his brother and their quest to recover the legendary Philosopher's Stone.
Found this one in Halfprice book store for a buck and that’s about what it’s worth. It was written in 2007 so it’s not very complete (since the manga carried on for three years after that). And it makes mistakes in the material that was there. Like stating Ed was named fullmetal alchemist because he transmutes metal very well. Um…
What it did that was interesting was offer up some facts on Arakawa but I have no idea how true they are (given the accuracy of some of the other stuff). It made a real attempt to explain the differences between anime and manga. Over all, it would be something to give someone you want to introduce to the series or to a die-hard fan. Also, it required an editor. The translator certainly had trouble keeping he/she straight.
This was really interesting, and although it didn't present much information that I didn't already know about FMA, I still enjoyed reading it. However, there were some noticeable typos and grammatical/editing errors, which, at times, were difficult to read.
