Garret met Doug when the latter was an exotic dancer. They had a whirlwind romance and everything was going great until tragedy struck. Then Doug disappeared and Garret spent years wondering what happened. A strange coincidence threw the two of them together years later. After just one glorious night, Garret was ready to rekindle the love he thought he had lost forever. Doug was more hesitant. He had been burned before and wasn’t so anxious to let that happen again. Had the years changed each of them so much that they could not find the magic again? Was it too late or just this just the beginning of Chapter Two for them both? This story contains M/M sexual situations, missed opportunities, lovemaking, and surprises. (This can be read as a stand alone story or as part of the series with #2: The Artist and the Bully and #3: The Best Friend and the Brother.)
I was born in Texas and have moved many times since then. I have met a lot of interesting people in the course of my life and have often drawn inspiration from them, my own life and my travels. If I dated someone and wondered what my life would have been like if I had taken a different path with them instead of breaking up, I ask myself what would that happy ending have been like? Yes, I believe in happy endings. I believe in romance and redemption and forgiveness... and hot sex. Yes, I am an artist and a nudist like so many of my characters. Yes, I was a go-go dancer. Yes, I lived in a monastery. I am also married (to a wonderful man) and I believe I have attained my own happy ending.
This is an M/M love story. It was short but a good read. For me, it seem the book was rushing into love. It was a true love at first site for both guys. However, early in their relationship there are cruel ideas planted in DD. Then more "life happens" to DD and just couldn't cope. Garrett lost he's love until later when they find each other. Book has a great ending. There are no bonus books. I think an epilogue could have done wonders and then it would be worth the price.
