Fayth doesn't know what she wants anymore. Torn between the life she used to live or staying in Rockton, Fayth can't decide which future she wants. All she knows is that the one man who won't leave her side is the one man who is taking over her heart. Everyday Slider relives the moment he thought he had lost Fayth before he even had the chance to have her. Now, with Fayth back in Rockton, he's never letting her out of his sight. Although, someone else has other plans Danger is lurking, and Slider is the one man that will keep her safe. He let her down once. He'll never let it happen again. The score is finally settled in this thrilling conclusion to the Devil's Knights Series.
Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and to the place they now call home. Winter spends her days writing happily ever afters, and her nights being a karate mom hauling her son to practices and tournaments. She also has an addiction to anything MC related, puppies, and baking.
Unraveling Fayth is the seventh book and the conclusion to the Devil's Knights series by Winter Travers.
Fayth (Banachi) and Slider were introduced in previous books. Slider was offering the sister to the head of the Chicago Mob family protection by standing guard while she and her son were staying in Rockton. At the close of Fighting Demon, Fayth got caught in the cross fire and was almost killed. Unraveling Fayth opened with Fayth recovering back in Chicago. She was physically fine, but mentally no so much. She hadn't been able to say her first word since the accident.
Travers took us through the thought processes of the two that had secretly fallen for each other. Neither shared it with the other, yet they were both coming to recognize the signs. Travers then took us through the relationship development.
Additionally, they were all still in danger, so the suspenseful theme that ran through the series, continued in Unraveling Fayth as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and Unraveling Fayth followed suit. The characters and storyline were both well developed, entertaining, humorous and enjoyable.
As a summary for the series, I loved the characters, the suspenseful theme and the abundance of humor. The characters and plot rated 5 stars in almost every case. However, the editing errors were so numerous and distracting that it knocked the ratings down significantly and every other book was rated a 3 as a result of the editing. Although the editing errors were still numerous in this final book, I loved the character development, plot development and conclusion to the series so I've rated it a 4 and didn't count the editing as high as previous books. Hopefully the next series will be edited more.
Travers ended Unraveling Fayth with an extensive epilogue that included all favorites from every book of the series. It was awesome seeing into the future and knowing they really did get their HEA.
Although the Devil's Knights series has concluded, Travers has promised that we'll see some of the characters in the following future series: Powerhouse MA series, Nitro Crew series, Banachi Family series and Jagged Ink series. My guess is that we'll see some of our favorite supporting characters and/or offspring, such as Leo, Marco, and Apollo from the Banachi Family, Remi from the Nitro series and Axel and Darby from the Jagged Ink series and hopefully a slew of new characters for them all. I loved Travers writing style and I can't wait to experience more.
SLIDER SLID RIGHT INTO MY HEART I loved it! Slider starts out as this self proclaimed bachelor who loves his hit it and quit it lifestyle. Then he has to start guarding Fayth, Leo's sister and her son Marco. The longer these two spend together the more they drive each other crazy until one day trouble shows up and Fayth gets hurt in the cross fire. Slider blames himself but Fayth sees him as her hero. Because of this trouble, Fayth loses her voice and Leo takes her back to Chicago and keeps her away from Slider and anyone else who could possibly harm her but Slider blames himself for not protecting her better and has started having feelings for her but Leo refuses to let him near her until one night she wakes up from a nightmare screaming for Slider. Leo calls Slider and tells him to get there as quick as he can. Underneath everything though there's still trouble coming from Big A. Slider continues to fight his feelings for Fayth because he doesn't think he's good enough for her but all Fayth wants is someone who loves her for her and not for who her family is. When Slider and Fayth do start to get closer there's enough tension between them to boil a pot. There are some surprises that left me think Holy Crap! I did not see that coming. At times I was laughing out loud especially when all the women get together and get drunk and Pukey Meg makes an appearance and then Troy yells PUKE & RALLY! LMAO!!! Then when they're trying to figure out how many shots they've had. Lol! The first word Fayth whispers besides Slider was funny too. Lol. I loved how Marco and Remy became friends. This really is just like one big family. I absolutely loved the ending and the extra look into everyone's lives. I highly recommend this series to everyone!
OMG!!!!! I have read this series since the beginning and I love every single book. This book was the cherry on the top. It was sassy, sexy and just great all around. Slider was so smooth and just wanted to take him home with you. Fayth I love her. I want to hang out with her and get drinks. Together they simply sizzle like bacon. it was awesome like it was meant to be.
All I have to say is bravo, marvelous, and all those awesome words that describes Winter's books.
Omg, I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced reader copy of this book. All I can say is what a great way to end a brilliant series, loved the story, and all the characters in it, never put the book down once I started reading it, as it had me on the edge of my seat with what was going to happen next with, Slider and Fayth, this book defiantly gets a 10/10 rating from me.
First off you know this will be an emotional rollercoaster of a book , when I was 4 chapters in and I have already cried, laugh, cussed out people and walk away. This whole series is worth 5 stars. I have read each one and I feel as if I am part of the club. I am a total Lo girl , but Slider is sitting right on Lo's lap. I loved how tricked Fayth into getting better, the sassiness, chemistry, sexual tension , or how ever you want to put it , between them two is off the chart. I love how Fayth isn't a "newbie" into the this world of crime, secrets, and the eye for an eye rule. All together this was amazing, it was everything you want, need and desire. It hits all the emotions, all the senses and the epilogue was the best "tie up loose ends" . Congrats Winter on this I know hit. And thank you for giving me and the other readers these wonderful , sexy, lovin, badass men. I will miss them.
Full Circle - Best Choice of Words for the exciting conclusion to this series. It is recommended to read the entire series before indulging in this read!!
First we are given the chance to see Slider and Fayth's fate come full circle. I personally loved how Slider took his guilt and turned it into his redemption. All the while proving to himself and Fayth, he came to terms that the life he once wanted wasn't the life he wanted anymore. Fayth's rehabilitation proved to him that love can heal and that together they can keep each other safe and happy.
Fayth's accident shows that she is one tough chick. She might have wanted to give up but it was one dream that showed her who could save her from the prison she was in. A little time and protectiveness from Slider opened up her walls little by little until they crumbled down completely. That was her realization that she couldn't live life without the one man who was there from the beginning.
This book completed the series in what Winter wrote, full circle. The band of brothers have become a family.
You must read the series from book one. You will laugh, cry, perhaps have an anxiety attack. This book brings the family together at the end and you will finish feeling complete and whole.
Well done Winter! This series goes on my must read for everyone and it will be a series I will return to more than once!
So this is part of a series, book 8 in fact, and I do suggest you read the other books first; returning characters and all that.
So when we left off in book 7, we all know that Fayth was shot, the question was did she survive, and if she did, did she come out unscathed? Well, there is a book about her and Slider, soooo I don't think its a spoiler that she survived, but she is affected by getting shot, as anyone would. Fayth was taken back home with Leo, leaving Slider in Rockton. At this point neither of them, will admit the attraction that they have for the other, its not until Slider is called by Leo, as things are heating up again, that they see each other again. Slider once again takes Fayth away to Rockton so that she can be watched as well as help her finish her recovery. This time, Slider will not rest until Fayth knows that she is his, but he can't afford the distraction, the last time he almost lost her and failed, that will not happen again. When stuff starts to get hot in Rockton, will the two come out on the other side together?
This was a good ending to this series, I am sad to see it go. We got to see a bit of each of the characters in this book and it was nice. Some drama, violence, and some sexy times, this was a good read I give it 4.5 stars.
I felt we actually moved forward with the overall plot in this one, finally getting Big A caught though there was a twist. I felt for Fayth, being far away from the one person she needed most even though he wanted to be with her. Slider really grew up in this book, maturing and finding himself, understanding what the others had found properly and realising he wanted it for himself. Marco as well turned a corner, the influence of Slider, Remy and the guys as well as the women seemed to be much more stable for him than his uncle's lifestyle. I loved the epilogue round up at the end as this was supposed to be the last book in the original series. I know there is now one more story and then characters may appear in other slightly connected series. There was some suspense and a bit of action in this one, less errors and I didn't see any inconsistencies so again the author is both improving in her writing and has a team working with her to polish the story to it's best. I was really happy with this one and found it interesting, sweet and romantic while still having a slight edge, I must admit I wondered if there was a mole in either the MC or Leo's team but that seemed unfounded in the end. A few unanswered questions were also solved so a brilliant read.
Winter takes you into the story and makes you feel a part of what is going on. In each of the books in the Devils Knights series you love every character more and more. She has such a great ability to make you feel like you know every person. Unraveling Fayth was no different, you felt the pain and joy of the characters. Add in the individuals from the other books, this book will have you crying, cussing and laughing and not just in your head, you will be talking out loud. I don’t want to give away much as way as the story goes because each person should experience this on their own, but the book takes place a couple of months after Demon and Paige’s story ended and the shooting in the woods. I loved how at the end she gave us happy ending for all the books she has written about the Devils Knights. I hate to see this come to the end but Winter has promised to bring some of these people into other books. I can’t wait for her next series.
Fayth suffered an injury in the last book. Now she is back with her brother and unable to sleep. She has secluded herself in her room and has given up. Slider has tried to contact her but her brother is keeping them apart. When Fayth wakes up screaming Slider's name he doesn't hesitate to call and get him to Chicago for her. All of a sudden they want each other but Slider is afraid of not being able to protect Fayth. He starts keeping his distance and another attempt is made. He realizes he can't fight the inevitable and they give into their feelings. When the MC goes looking for info on how Big A is coming for them they don't realize that the answers are right in front of them. As this series comes to an end I am excited to read Remy's story.
This has been an amazing series, full of awesome characters, hilarious banter, crazy antics, and unexpected twists that you'll never see coming. It's definitely a must read series for those who love MC stories. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
I have to thank Winter Travers for sharing such an amazing series with us. It was definitely one that I will be re-reading often. I also wanted to thank you for adding your other books to the KU program! I am so excited to finally get to read the other series you've written. After reading this one and the Powerhouse series, I know that I will fall in love with the others as well. Thank you again for allowing your books to be on KU.
Unraveling Fayth by Winter Travers.....I am having happy and sad tears, I absolutely loved this series and book. This book is so good and will hit all your emotion buttons. Slider blames himself for Fayth's injury and rehabilitation problems. Fayth can not get Slider off her mind, he is in her every thought. Slider wants her as bad as she wants him, will these two be able to show each other. The ending was amazing, what a way to end this series. Winter Travers writes characters that are unforgettable and her stories are always 5 star reads. I voluntarily reviewed advance reader copy of this book.
Wow, I had always wondered about Fayth, as we only heard bits and pieces throughout the series about her. And we finally learned more about Slider, who we didn't really know much about other than he moans a lot. Amazing conclusion to a series.
I loved Slider, he is protective and possessive. He fights for what he wants, even if he don't know what he wants. He loves the brotherhood, and will do anything for them.
I loved Fayth, she is sassy, feisty and funny. She goes with the flow, even though she will fight tooth and nail. She is great mum, and sister. She may seem lonely, but she is amazing.
I really enjoyed this whole series, and I am glad to see how everyone got on.
This was a great ending to a great series! And thankfully, even tho the series ended, the characters pop up in various other series by this author - Meg is everywhere! ;)
Fayth & Slider's story is full of fun banter - which could be hard to do with this kind of story, but the author pulls it off! I love their relationship & how Slider is w/ Fayth's son as well. There's a bit of a mystery going on, and I have to admit, I didn't quite see the "whodunit" coming!
The epilogue is where we get to catch up w/ everyone & I absolutely loved how that was written, as well! Thumbs up!!! : )
That was crazy!! Some how Fayth lost her way of talking after she got shot. She's very slowly able 2 say a few words here and there. But the 1st word made everyone take notice and listen, slider... He was shocked when he finally got a call 2 come fast cause of her. Then he found out about her only being able 2 say his name. He would protect her more now than ever b4. Who and why was someone out 2 get her? Read and find out. Can he finally give in 2 loving someone whole hearty? I liked it alot especially the ending with them all 2gether after 5 yrs had gone by and with all the kids.
Awesome story!! Love Fayth & Slider. They make a great couple. I love the way He brought her words out. I'm soon sad this was the end of the Devils Knight's. I hope we see them in other books.. Loved seeing how their lives looked 5 years down the road. I recommend this series & the Author. Great series.
Slider has worried about Fayth but her brother won't let him see her. When Leo finally says he needs to get there to see Fayth, Slider knows that he needs to be there despite feeling like he let her down.
Will Slider be what she needs to start really healing? Will they figure out who is after the MC?
This was a great #KUread. I have loved this series and want more!!
This book is Slider's and Fayths book. If you read the last book then the way it ended is @six weeks after what happened.
This also has a bit more MC stuff in it because what has been going on behind the scene finally is taken care of. It also ends with all the couples in the future.... @ 5 yrs.
Faith is recovering from her gunshot. She can’t speak, until her first word is Slider. Her brother calls Slider and has him come and take Faith and her son back to their town. Slider can’t help but be excited Faith is finally talking and ready to see him. This is the final book in this series and it was sweet. I overall enjoyed this series. I would not say no to another series by Winter Travers.
I LOVE Fayth and Slider!! You hit it out of the park, like you always do! I have read all of your books and love each and every one of them. I was teary eyed when I finished the book because the series is over. I'm so sad.
I absolutely love this series. This book was a great addition to the series. As usual, I was laughing at the antics in this book. I cannot wait to start another series by Winter Travers.
What a rollercoaster ride this story was. Slider and Fayth overcome the many obstacles in their lives and are able to finally get their HEA. Loved this instalment. What a wonderful series filled with laughter, love and commitment.
Finally finished this series and I have loved them all. I have loved these women, they are so hilarious to read abt when they all get together. I either had smiles on my face or I would burst out laughing. Thank you for writing this series.
Five star read all the way, the author draws you in and keeps your interest right from the start. Two people from different worlds thrown together, he was sworn to protect her, she was a mafia princess. But these two, fall in love, and he'll do anything to protect her.
Loved the characters, loved the story line. At the end all characters get another shout out. Troy was my favorite out of all the guys. Fayth miraculously got her speech back, but it wasn't explained why she lost it in the first place. But still a great read
Another great book about Slider and Fayth and Slider was determined in previous books he wasn’t getting hooked by a woman like his brothers. That plan certainly failed. I loved the epilogue with the different points of view.
