An outstanding modern vision of Judaism

I chose 5 stars because of it's clarity, non biased vision. I'd recommend this book to the disappointed Jew, the confused person and any prospective Convert.
Great scholarship coupled with a compassionate, open and golden heart. Beautifully written too

I was moved by the heartfelt letters from a father to his sons. There were parts of letters that resonated with me and made me think what I might do differently. The connection between what the Rabbi wrote and why Judaism matters was not always clear, but I don't think establishing that linkage was critical to understanding what he wrote

I think Rosove asks some interesting questions and he gives good advice.

"The last and greatest human freedom is to choose your attitude in any given set of circumstances".

The greatest power that we have is to be intentional concerning our affective state.
