Perfect read for everyone ,especially for students. This is the kind of book you need to read patiently, the points given are practical I'm already applying them. In my opinion the author is repetitive because he wants us to grasp better . I've no problem with it as I get a feeling of being forgetful while reading Self-help books that keeps me reading the content and marked lines again and again. But this never happened with this book. I've all the points on my fingers discussed in this book. I'll make sure my family reads it too.😍

An unbearable amount of typos and extremely repetitive chapters. After 50% I felt I had wasted an hour of reading and abandoned the book. May be good for individuals with no sense of how to study, but even the majority of "tips" presented are questionable.

A scam except if you're a complete newbie at even reading

To me, one of the most useless nonfiction books I've ever read.
Luckily I applied what it tries to teach to the very core of it and managed to pseudo-read it in 20 minutes. Should be titled reading for dummies.

Reading this extremely brief self-help book, you quickly come to the realisation that it was written specifically for college students wanting help with studying and writing their assignments. The title and blurb have been widened to reach a bigger audience, but it's niche all the same. It's pretty repetitive, packed full of the aggressive marketing "fluff" that bolsters many a modern self-help book, but it does have a few interesting points about reading thematically and using "signposting" to get the jist of something before tackling it. However, as an example the guide to speed reading includes three top tips which are: avoid moving your finger over the words as you read, avoid speaking out loud, and don't move your head from side to side. I think most of us will have advanced beyond that stage since childhood....

Good organization, lots of typos..

The ideas were clear and well organized, some were new for me some were a refresher. It made me want to practice reading and writting again. The only reason I can't give this five stars is that there were go many typos it looked like a first draft in some places. I read the kindle version.

Lessons for learning

This book will help one organize thoughts in a notebook. It uses that notebook to train spelling and test-taking. I believe the keeping of a notebook and studying using that notebook can train retention of learned lessons.

This book has some excellent suggestions. However, it is more for students attending classes. It is also a little old fashioned. It has interesting recommendations for reading magazines and newspapers but media is changing and digital learning isn’t covered.

Even though I’m not currently enrolled in school at the moment, I still found this book to contain very useful information. Definitely worth the read if you strive to be a lifelong learner.
