I was born the middle princess of a tiny country in the Alps, which means my primary duty in life has always been to make a good marriage for my family and country. That's why I'm marrying Edward Channing. He's rich, handsome, arrogant, and silent.
Seriously, he almost never talks to me at all.
He might be marrying a princess, but he obviously doesn't want to spend any more time with me than he has to. I have no problem with that. We can live entirely different lives and pursue our own interests. I'm sure we can make this arranged marriage work.
Of course, we do need to produce an heir, but I'm trying not to think about that.
Noelle handwrote her first romance novel in a spiral-bound notebook when she was twelve, and she hasn't stopped writing since. She has lived in eight different states and currently resides in Virginia, where she teaches English, reads any book she can get her hands on, and offers tribute to a very spoiled cocker spaniel.
She loves travel, art, history, and ice cream. After spending far too many years of her life in graduate school, she has decided to reorient her priorities and focus on writing contemporary romances.
Reread: I didn’t even realize I had previously read and reviewed this book and I’m shocked that I didn’t remember it. It’s super cute and fun, containing all the things that I love. It’s the type of story I’d love to have on audiobook just as a great pick me. It just contains so many little magical points that make me smile and fulfill my romance lovin’ heart.
Original: I absolutely love a hero who is a bit socially awkward and Edward was certainly that. When Victoria proposes that they marry to unite their families he agrees. She is prepared to have a comfortable life living separately from her husband with the occasional social obligations. But what she gets is so much more than she could have ever imagined.
I really enjoyed this fast paced read. There were some great secondary characters that I hope to read more of as well as some mid angst conflict. The conflict revolves around Victoria’s growing attraction to her husband, his lack of communication skills, and her Rothman pride. The steam level was perfect and it wraps up very nicely in a sweet epilogue that also sets us up for the next couple.
This is a feel good book that is perfect for a quiet afternoon when you need a quick steamy read filled with romance.
I actually really enjoyed this one. I don't know if it was because I went into the book feeling very sympathetic for the main characters from the previous books introduction to them or if it's more that the blurb caught my attention and I was dying to read it but whatever it was it worked for me.
The characters were great and for a novella it was a pretty solid story.
I absolutely loved this book!! The romance between Victoria and Edward was lovely and oh so cute. The way they go from marriage of convenience to a true and lasting love after they finally declare their feelings was delightful to read. I adore Noelle's stories, they always make me happy and warm inside.
Very enjoyable marriage of convenience story! Victoria is the second daughter, always the one to do her royal duty and when her older sister finds a love match, she knows it's up to her to marry for money. She's been acquainted with Edward since they were children as their fathers are best friends and even though he'd always struck her as a snobby boy, she's hopeful that as adults they will make the marriage work for the sake of their families.
What follows is the story of two people, strangers really, who learn that first impressions don't always tell reality. In fact, Edward is just an introvert, a shy and quiet man who has never been comfortable in large crowds or with famous people and so what Victoria took to be rudeness was in fact the opposite. He and Victoria get to know each other slowly but surely, and once they let down their guards and start to communicate, a true and fiery passion is sparked between them. I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop and we get a lovely happy ending and epilogue for this couple. I'm really enjoying this series, and with two siblings left to get royally matched I'm looking forward to what comes next!
Note: a copy of this story was provided by the author for review.
This was such a sweet and lovely read and I really enjoyed it.
Victoria is the middle daughter and agrees to do her royal duty, since her older sister found a love match, Victoria knows it's up to her and marries for money. She has known Edward since they were children as their fathers are best friends. Although she finds him snobby she knows him to be a good guy and is hopeful that they could make the marriage work.
After Victoria spends more time with Edward, it becomes apparent that Edward is an introvert, a shy and quiet man who is uncomfortable in large crowds. So what Victoria mistook as rudeness is just the opposite.
They get to know each other slowly and start to communicate their feelings but both hold back, afraid of what the other would think. As the their relationship started off as a marriage of convenience it takes them by surprise when it slowly starts turning into more.
I loved Edward as a character, he was considerate and really sweet but underneath is deep feelings and burning passion. It was great seeing how their relationship developed and how they complemented the other. While Edward is more reserved, Victoria is vivacious and they are great bringing out the best qualities in the other.
The ending was lovely and I'm really looking forward to the next story in the series.

My Thoughts I found this really sweet, introverted hero's are a favourite of mine. It was nice seeing Victoria's and Edward's relationship develop amongst hidden secrets. The names were a little OTT in their attempts to seem regal. A future re-read
First time reading an introverted hero so uh.... not sure how should I feel about the "lack of his effort" in the marriage. Plus the girl always be like, "I am daughter of the King, bla blah blah.."
Like, I get it, you're a princess, next!
But hey at least, the princess was the one who did everything she could to make things work!
4⭐ Arrange marriage is always going to be my top favourite trope and the uncertainty about it is what make it good for me And on top of that arrange marriage between 👑 princess and Prince...can't miss that 🤷🏻♀️ I love how things developed between them and for such a short book that's quite impressive To work things out both of them have to take steps towards eachother Yes there has some misunderstanding and miscommunication but they got it resolved before it gets to messed up by choosing eachother. (and quite frankly, I love it in all her books)😉🫢
This is the second book in the Rothman Royals series and was just as good as the first.
The story focus on the record daughter of the Rothmans and starts from her wedding day, an arranged marriage in order that the Rothmans can add a little cash flow into their lives.
As expected there is no initial love from our main lady, however as they get to know each other the feelings between them change and take a different road.
Both characters realise that they did not know each other properly, however they both like what they find, especially ....... who realises that .... was not the man she thought that he was. He was so much better.
A really sweet read that had me so happy that they got their HEA.
Looking forward to the third and final instalment of the series and we may well have had a little taster as to who the love interest may be :)
I was very excited to read Victoria and Edward's story, after finishing reading A Princess Next Door. I found Victoria to be quite prideful, mostly in a good way, but than she started to be to prideful, to which I got a bit frustrated with. That being said though I still loved her. Edward is a quiet man who has trouble expressing himself, which does not tend to work so well for a relationship. A marriage that started out out of connivence for both families, slowly started to look like it could be more. I loved watching their story unfold. It was intriguing and made for a great read. I loved the end what Victoria discovers about Edward and what he reveals to her. Loved this story, can't wait for Lisette's!
I love this book it was such a cute, sweet and fun read. Victoria and Edward got married to join their two families together. They entered into a marriage of convivence as friends. As the days go on after they marry they begin to learn more about each other and the chemistry between them builds. Even though they give in to that passion a few times they still hold each other at arms length. Neither one sure of the other. What happens when a misunderstanding turns into a fight? Will them be able to move past this and become a real couple or will they call it quits?
This was also very quick and easy to read. I think I enjoyed this more than the first installment, just because the Victoria and Edward took a little more getting to know; it was not as easy to infer what Edward was thinking or what his real desire was. I liked Edward a lot, and this was a sweet and short story.
It's a really sweet story. An arranged marriage, they are both reserved in their own way, he is shy and she is royal but they find a way to really get to know each other.
Marry for family's sake is a duty that Victoria Rothman do wilingful. Her husband is Edward Channing, a man who speak little and aloof who Victoria wonder what kind marriage she do.
As her friend's advise, Victoria try to talk to her husband.Surprisingly, Edward reaction is quite enough for Victoria know, he is a gentleman and always think Victoria's need. But as time flows, Victoria want more in their relationship. The conflict come when Victoria want Edward love her but her pride prevent her to ask.
I love Edward as an introvert man who struggle with his communication to Victoria. He loved her before they get marry. When Victoria ask him to marry her, it's like a happy moment but Edward know Victoria don't love him. So, he always wait for Victoria approval for everything which is a little kind frustrating for Victoria.
This book was cute with a strong, prideful heroine and an awkward, introverted hero. I love when the hero says he's loved the heroine for a long time and actually shows it by staying away from other women and pining for her
The story gets off to a quick start and I was immediately hooked. It was interesting to read how their relationship progressed after they got married. We only get Victoria's point of view and I really connected to her; I felt her frustrations when Edward wouldn't talk to her and I understood why she felt like she was the only one trying in the marriage. Edward is sweet and clearly has social anxiety. He's awkward and often too quiet, but he's kind and sexy and has a strong jealous and possessive side.
This was a great marriage-of-convenience book. Definitely recommend.
Safety: neither virgins no ow/om drama no violence of any kind
This is the second book from the Rothman Royal series. Princess Victoria Rothman of Villemont is set to be married soon with Edward Farmingham Channing, a billionaire. This marriage will save her family and is well wished by both families. However, she does not know him, for her he is a snob and she hardly has had two words with him. But, not everything is what seems to be and Edward slowly shows his true colors and he is endearing.
This is a novella with a happy ending and a true sexy and dear couple.
In here, the female lead says she's outgoing but her actions and words really doesn't support it. At least, not when she interacts with the hero. I was left wondering if she even put any effort into knowing him before their marriage, and turns out that she really didn't which I didn't like or approve.
I do like the stories Adams comes up with, but I wish her writing would show more improvement. The potential is there. It just feels as if she's always in a rush to finish her books which makes it seem lacking in depth like in this one. She does wrap it up wonderfully though.
I really liked the premise of the book, with the awkward, introvert Edward and the outgoing Victoria. And for the most part it was enjoyable. However, after a while it just got annoying how reluctant Edward was to communicate or engage with Victoria. . I started to lose sympathy because she was doing all the work! He redeemed himself in the end but because he was so aloof for 80% of the book, his gesture didn't touch me.
It's an incredibly sweet story. The H is an introvert and h is extremely social. A marriage of convenience between these two makes the premise of this story. It didn't have any angst or unnecessary issues, just two people with different personalities figuring out their relationship. This has been one of the most realistic marriage of convenience stories I've read till now (and I've read quite a lot of these, dropped even more) Loved it!
I enjoyed this book more than the first. It was well paced, not rushed like I felt book 1 was.
I loved Edward and Victoria. Such a cute couple. It was nice to read a book where the man was an introvert but still strong and protective. When they had a misunderstanding it wasn't overly dramatic and they confronted it like adults. An enjoyable read.
This was a reread and I loved it just as much as the first time. The writing (prose) isn’t amazing but it’s acceptable and this book weirdly gives me SO many butterflies. I really like all of the books in the Rothman Royals series.
This is also an example of a quiet hero in a single POV book that is done really well!!
I am loving this series! This book really changed my views of Edward and Victoria. Things were not what they seemed and you realize that there is more going on. This book really is a must read! This ARC was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this book well enough to finish it but not as much as Book 1 in this series. Just didn’t tickle me the way the first book did. One introvert meets miss proud and things just don’t come together the way you’d think they should. A bit weak, IMHO
