Each of these stories are so dark it's scary! I enjoyed every single one of them! I came across a couple new authors new to me that I'll definitely be looking into reading! These stories are NOT for the faint of heart and will stay with you forever!!! Super fabulous and dangerously dark and twisted!!!

My Sweet Villaintine is a collection of short stories from five dark authors. I was excited to read this one because I've read at least one book from each author. However I was largely disappointed with the contents.
The authors didn't put this book on Amazon because they didn't want to restrict their contents - which was admirable. So I expect there to be some real fucked up shit, but all I got was an essence of darkness. Yes, the characters are villains and some of the stories were dark enough, but some is not even remotely grey. Unless drug use is considered dark... I'm not trying to be a dark snob here, but it needed something to make it relevant.
Out of the stories, only one is with completely new characters. Two are from the author's previous/current books and another two from the author's upcoming books. My favorite is Love Is Blind by Lili St. Germain which was highly intriguing and the darkest of the bunch.
Below is the sneak peek into the stories with their individual darkness rating. My final book rating is based on average rating of the writing, story and darkness level.

Skye Warren - Orchard
Wow, this was a sick and twisted tale including a father set out to brake and ruin a woman just to hand over to his son. It keeps you hooked and wanting more even though you shouldn't. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.
Callie Hart - Rite and Ritual
As always Callie did an incredible job on this dark tale. I quite liked the olden day tradition included (made me think of GoT) hah. This one was one of the less darker tales but I'm extremely interested to hear more from these characters, I loved Alexander and Genevieve.
Shari Slade - Little Sorrow
A dark tale about a slave being bought by a man who was captured by her the moment he laid eyes on her but love doesn't come in to the equation, oh no, he wants to own her and he will. Micha was an interesting character as was Dolorita, it'd be interesting to read more about these two characters. His actions were disturbing at times and the need to own her is strong. Amazing tale from Shari.<
T.M. Frazier - His Possesion
OH. MY. GOSH. King and Ray, two of my absolute favourites with Bear, Thia and Preppy included. These characters always make me laugh. Sexy times between King and Ray are always so hot and steamy always leaving you needing a long cold shower. TM did an incredible job on this short story from our favourite characters.
Lili St. Germain - Love is Blind
A dark read about a man taking orders from the voices in his head. Inflicting pain on the woman in the room as and when the voice says so but Rome hates every second of it. LIli St Germain never fails to inflict the darkness upon her readers, this short one doesn't fail either. It's full of pain and it's heartbreaking to read but yet leaves you NEEDING more. I can't wait to read Rome and Avery's story.

Five stories. Five amazing authors! However, if I had to rate each story individually, it would go like this...
Perhaps I'm falling out of love with "dark" books, but the first story in this collection was NOT for me. An excerpt from story one?
What she doesn’t realize is that it hurts me at first. No lube. No saliva. But as I saw in and out of her, she lubricates with blood. That makes it the best place to fuck a woman. Or a man. A test of character.

I was fooled by the gorgeous cover and the fantastic title but this isn't really a collection of short stories or novellas - these are all just teasers from upcoming books. The only book I'm interested in is the one by Callie Hart. It sounds like a pretty dark and intriguing one. We shall see.

Este es uno de esos libros que te deja con la sensación de culpa y remordimiento, y la constante duda: ¿Porque carajos me gusto y disfrute tanto algo tan depravado?
Anímense, como se va avanzando en el libro, las historias se van volviendo más y más obscuras e intensas.
Obviamente mi historia favorita fue la T.M Frazier porque me pude reencontrar con Bear, King y Preppy.
Pero la historia final Lily St. Germain fue esplendida, me hizo recordar porque me gusta tanto esa autora, de sus mejores trabajos, a pesar de ser una historia tan corta.

I went on a hunt to find this book. And I discovered that you had to become a member to this newsletter. The group was created by some dark romance authors. I loved all of these short reads!! Some of the stores give an extra story on some of your favorite bad boys...like King!!!

I'm a big fan of these authors but this was a nope for me. I guess I was expecting actual stories but what I got was more of a chapters-length excerpt from each author. It seemed more like a book of teasers. Don't get me wrong, I will definitely be checking out some of the full length books. This just wasn't what I was expecting.

Hmmm well Some of the stories in here are seriously dark and gruesome (damn Lili St. Germain, she creep the fuck outta me)

All stories were essentially teasers for upcoming books (well, except for T.M. Frazier's His Possession) so if you don't like to read teasers, this collection isn't for you. But if you do, you can enjoy five pretty dark short stories from five amazing authors.

Fans of her Endgame series will find this one interesting. It features Jonathan Scott introduced in
(currently free on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Pawn-Skye-Warr...). In that book we find out he is estranged from his son, but boy does this offer insight into why that might not be a bad thing. This guy is very twisted, and merciless. Sets the tone for the title the writers came up with perfectly.
Rite and Ritual - Callie Hart
This is basically the weirdest wedding I'd ever heard of. Not as graphic as the others in the volume, but an interesting teaser for soon to be published series.
Little Sorrow - Shari Slade
This is a peak into a dark world of broken dolls and the monsters that make them. The "hero" is just not as bad as the other guy. Unsure if it's attached to another series by the author.
His Possesion - T.M. Frazier
This feels like an outtake sex scene featuring the hero and heroine from
. Okay I guess, not dark at all.
Love is Blind - Lili St. Germain
This was horrifying in the best way for a fan of horror erotica. This guy is all over the place with remorse, and blinding selfishness. This is teaser for an upcoming new series. I have no idea where she is taking this, or if I am brave enough to follow.

For the most part I enjoyed this but know most of my book friends aren't ready. lol Any complaints I'd make are scratched because this is perma-free, and content warnings are in full view.

But Maybe I'm Disturbed, Because These Short Stories Were Not At All Dark To Me (All The Warnings - Made Me Think It Was Going To Be Demented But It Was Quite Tame) My "2" Absolute Favorites Would Have To Be;

February 17, 2017Ok. This was another example proving that the saying "nothing in life is for free"is very true. What I anticipated? An anthology of dark novellas dedicated to valentine's. What I got? A load of teasers. The only novella that was not related to a new release to one of the authors was T.M. Frazier's story.
If you consider reading the anthology, heed the warnings. Seriously, I've read my fair share of fucked up but this took the cake. Maybe because of the fact that I couldn't get any closure out of any story, other than Frazier's. Oh, and you shouldn't read it if you're an anal-virgin but curious... Just a fair warning. Lol nope, not kidding.
Since this was not what I expected in the least, I won't rate it. If I had to rate T.M. Frazier's story, I'd give it 4 stars, I love those characters but it wasn't dark at all.

Reading this book of collections has most definitely introduced me to new authors whose books I’ve now added to my TBR and am excited to read. So far, out of the five authors involved in this, I’ve only read T.M. Frazier’s books, and I LOVED what we got from her here; I loved seeing King and Ray again, and seeing Preppy and Bear again too, and reading T.M.’s work only has me wanting to go back and reread the King Series all over again. Her story was funny and sexy, and probably the tamest story in this book of collections. The other stories involved in this… They were dark and twisted and left me wide eyed and shocked, and they are NOT for the faint-hearted, and each story stopped at just the right time where I’m now left wanting more! I loved it.

I knew I'd love this little anthology. How could I not? Some of my favourite darker authors collaborating to bring me little snippets of what's new and where things have gone from the last time we met. Pure perfection.
5 dark, dirty and beautiful shorts. Ranging from a bit of kink to a whole of depraved. There's a little something for everyone who likes a bit of rough with their tumble.
I've never read anything by Shari nor Skye before but thanks to this I am going straight to their Amazon page and one clicking and it also confirms just how much I love the others.
A definite must read for any fan.

Each one tells a tale that is dark and certainly not for the faint hearted, each one teases you to give you a taste of what is to come in each of these books. I'm not sure if I liked it - because they were so good that I wanted the full book . Lili Saint Germain and Shari Slade were my favourite stories and I will be chasing up the books mentioned.
A quick read but worth it in every way !!!

My Sweet Villaintine is a collection of dark tales from some of my favorite authors. We get a look at a few of our favorite characters as well as peaks into new twisted characters in store for upcoming books. And it was free! What a great gift from these talented authors!
