The Torah, The Bible, The Tree of Life God's word is a set of instructions for everyone who wants to live a victorious, joyful, and abundant life. The Seven Laws of Abundant Living explains a parable relating to the Tree of Life that the Lord spoke to Eric Walker—a Messianic Rabbi. The parable opens wide the unique components of the Word and the physical Tree of Life that is introduced in Genesis and again in Revelation. The LORD God made all kinds of trees to grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden was the tree of life... (Genesis 2:9). The parable reveals seven aspects of the Tree of The ground, the roots, the trunk, the branches, the leaves, and the fruit. Each of these components brings seven life-changing conclusions to light that stimulate spiritual growth and maturity. The simple yet profound image is powerful and compels you into self-examination to assure your spiritual health and growth in each of the areas God wanted Eric Walker to share with you. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God (Revelation 2:7).
This is the first book I've read on the Messianic Jewish faith. As a Christian (a saved Gentile) it offers me plenty of fresh perspectives on my faith, on the Jewish origin of Christianity and the Jewish identity of the Messiah, which according to the author, is often "overshadowed by the growth of the Gentile church." The author's advocacy for Israel is evident throughout the book as he emphasises time and again that the root of Messianic salvation is the Jewish faith, and that Israel is indeed the chosen race, though through the Messiah God's kingdom is now extended to Gentiles.
This topic is certainly something that I would be exploring further with an open mind, yet I do find the tree parable offers an inspiring reflection on how I should live as a follower of Yeshua.
This book opened my mind and heart to a deeper level. I wanted to read and receive all the wisdom in one sitting but I couldn't fully comprehend or receive everything at once. I know I will read this book again to receive the truth and set spiritual goals for my life. Such an inspirational book! Thank you, Rabbi Eric
I like how the author aligns our spiritual components and development with that of a tree, tying it to the Tree of Life. Coming from a Christian background, I was also edified learning the Jewish background / history and its application in a Jewish Messanic sense.
I felt this to be a very informative book. Using the tree and all its parts was to me an interesting way to describe how we respond to God and our surroundings and surcomstances. I feel that it enrich my understanding of how we should live and how we should respond. I gave it 5 stars
