Rate this book
This is a full-length 65,000 word Romance novel with a HEA guaranteed.

Meagan Cooper has spent her entire life safely tucked away in her father’s Court. As the President’s daughter, her life has always been more or less decided for her. Just six months shy of marrying her fiancé Daryn, a high-ranking military man, she can’t help but begin to feel trapped in her monotonous routine. But, when Earth is invaded by the Samou, a race of dragon-shifting aliens from one of the Empire’s mining planets, her life suddenly takes a very drastic turn.

Kidnapped by the human rebels who have joined forces with the Samou, Meagan is ripped away from the security of her home and thrown into the parallel universe of life outside the Capital city. Terrified and alone, she somehow finds comfort in the one person she never expected to.

Chronos is the Samou lead warrior. A muscular, exotic, aggressive man, he takes it upon himself to challenge Meagan. He forces her to face the reality of corruption and greed that permeate the Empire she so loyally continues to defend.
As the tension between them grows, so does the attraction. The lines between anger and desire quickly become blurred, and in the end, Meagan will be faced to choose between the man she can’t resist and the life she’s always known.

Basically, the president of earth is a big jerk and and takes over other planets by wiping out the indigenous people. Now the dragon shifters of one such planets are helping human rebels to overthrow the cruel leadership.

I did't like this. The idea was ok but the execution wasn't there. Chronos and Meagan like each other for no discernible reason and it gets real weird real fast. But where it lost me was when Meagan, who has been over protected and willfully ignorant her whole life, is all of a sudden going to fix all problems simply by talking to the people that hate her. And Chronos was impressed by this...just no.

Not a fan of weak characters

For me the premise of the story had some great potential and an honest attempt at follow-through . I however thought it fell short in that while the main lead female character was someone that I would otherwise need to handhold through the book rather than have her become the strong female lead . Yes I realize that her naïveté is played into a lot of her weakness but I felt that it was something that was over-the-top and not something that would have been able to be overcome in such a short amount of time as a month. Therefore, the believability factor of me buying into the story was flawed.

As far as overall world building and story development, the author did do a decent job at providing enough details so that we could imagine this world or these circumstances. Her punctuation and grammar was almost perfect, easy to read, but recommended for those 18+ due to sexual content.

As for the rest

Boy if you want one book you can't put down grab this one.
Right from the first page you are hooked and you will not
be able to put it down.
Meagan is the daughter of the president and she has know idea
what is really going on and she believes everything her father has told
here. She has never been outside of the capital.
One day she got her friend Rachel to give her a hand to leave the safety of her
home. Meagan did not know that her friend was apart of the rebellion her was trying
To destroy everything she new. When they were out Rachel asked Meagan wanted
to go to a café but it was not a café this is where you get hooked. Also this is where
Chronos comes into the story he is the leader of the Samou who are Dragon Shifters
they were giving the rebels a hand.
Will Meagan learn what is really going on will Chronos be able to lead the rebels in and win
will Meagan and Chronos get together well you are just going to have to read this book to see what
happens.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Not like the other shifter books!

After reading this book I didn't feel guilty... This book had the heat and a well written story. It was more than a generic love story.

Entertaining

I found this to be an interesting and fun read. It has a good plot, characters are fairly well developed. The bonus book was also fun and definitely "romantic".
