Celebrity chef, Knox Free, makes women feel delicious and exotic in and out the bedroom, but with Staci Abrahams as his new financial advisor, he gets a new recipe for life.

Knox

As a celebrity chef, I’m all about pleasing and satisfying every taste bud. Creating a palate of lovemaking takes an exquisite taste and I have a ferocious appetite for women.
I know how to handle my meat, and can go for hours without a break.
If a woman is willing to play with fire, try me, I’m burning hot.
But will Staci wait until it’s too late for my playboy ways to wane?

Staci
Knox is larger than life in every way, and he likes to make sure I know it. The last thing I want is to mix business with pleasure.
His striking blue eyes, masculine body, and arrogant personality make him irresistible. The kitchen is his kingdom, where he creates delicious meals made for royals and celebrities alike.
Known in the streets as “Knox,” I know him as the ultimate heart breaker.
Too bad I'm not interested in being on his menu.

I can’t be interested.

Well, what happens when his words bring me to my knees, making things a little complicated?

This is the first by Ryli Jordan I have read and if you are looking for something short and sweet then this is the one for you. As most other reviewers state....it does take some time to get into the story but it's worth sticking with it as the story and characters develop well.

'Knox' is certainly an arrogant playboy billionaire character while Staci is a no nonsense woman with a past of heartbreak, determined not to be broken again. Both the story and the characters are written well but it does take a bit to become engrossed in the story and like the characters. It is worth sticking with though as the HEA I didn't see playing out as it did......

Not a bad book, I'm eager to see more of what Ryli Jordan can produce.

Knox doesn't believe in love and has the choice of dining then taking home any woman he wants, until her. Staci has had her heartbroken and is determined to hold out on Knox's charms, despite the instant attraction between them both. When Knox finally believes he finds the one, will he be able to prove to Stacy that he is a changed man? Will Staci finally be able to accept that love is real and heal her broken heart?

Newbie reader for this author and I enjoyed the book. You have Knox whom is the typical bad boy billionaire and Staci whom is determined that her job comes first and that no matter what men cannot be trusted. Loved Knox's change of heart and how he went about it. Only thing I would have liked is more on Knox's background being we got some of Staci's. Definitely will be reading this author again!

I had some trouble getting into this book and the characters. Chef Knox was obnoxious, though it became almost part of his charm as the book went on. Staci was a bit too whiny for my taste and the way she lorded over Knox to force him to be a philanthropist bordered on annoying.

However, the two of them had some memorable steamy scenes and I really did enjoy the story once they both cracked each other's tough outer exterior to find the people they wanted to be inside...

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily provided this honest review.

Staci is a financial planner, she had a rough breakup with her last boyfriend. Knox is a celebrity chef, his last financial adviser has dies and Staci becomes his new financial adviser. She’s not interested in crossing business with pleasure, Know likes her because she’s not a fan girl. Can Staci tame Knox? Does Staci change her mind about mixing business with pleasure? Do they have their HEA?

This is the first book I've read by this author. It took a little while to get into but picked up and turned out to be pretty good. Knox was arrogant and Staci had sass. Together they made some pretty steamy scenes.

Knox is a cocky celebrity chef and Staci becomes his financial planner. She is not blinded by his celebrity status so she doesn't fall all over him which bothers him. He can't get her out of his head so becomes a good person. I couldn't connect to characters and the story didn't really flow well and the sex scenes made me cringe. The ending didn't seem to fit the story, it felt like it was thrown in at the last minute. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

*** I chose to review and ARC of this book. ***
I felt absolutely no connection between the main characters. To much of the book was in their heads and even being in the heroine's head I couldn't understand why she reacted and behaved how she did. The hero was better but I never could figure out why he was so interested in her. In the end I was glad I didn't have to pay for this book.

After reading the blurb, I was excited to read this one, only to be disappointed. It had so much potential, but I never connected with the characters or the story. Staci and Knox were both selfish and just not likable, IMO. I kept reading, hoping for a redeeming quality in either of them, but it didn't happen. The story itself was choppy and just didn't hold my interest.

This is an interesting story. The heroin is a very work driven woman. Her financial planning pays off for her clientele, and the many charities she recommends.

The hero, a very arrogant, very attractive chief. The constant food life comparisons are inspirational. I love the way he compares her to food.

When these two are together, there is nothing but fireworks.

Exotic was a good read with an egotistical chef and a feisty women who captures his attention. The book was slow paced but did pick up. This book was fun, hot and heartwarming and I enjoyed it.

Staci is all about her job and doing the best she can to get to the top, she has been hurt by men in the past and doesnt trust them very easily. When she meets Knox she thinks he is attractive but there is no way she wants to be next on his bed post notch as he is a known playboy. Knox normally gets whatever he wants but when he meets Staci there is something different about her and she is always telling him no and pretty much wont give him the time of day out side of business. Staci and Knox will spend tons of time together doing business where their feelings start to grow.

What I enjoyed most about Exotic is watching two people who have obviously have dark moments from their past that make them how they are today towards relationships and love but find in each other something that is good and worth trying when they get past everything from their pasts. Seeing Knox finally find in Staci what he never thought he would have or even wanted, and Staci finding that she wants the love of a man again. Staci and Knox finding true love and a soul mate in each other.

This book is great, I enjoyed every minute as you never knew how things would end with Staci and Knox but seeing that he wasnt willing to quit until he has his one true love, Staci needing to do her best with her career and needing to let Knox go to get to her potential. Staci and Knox's story is one of sadness and happiness that turns into love that is true and meant to be. If you like stories like this, then Exotic is a must!
