At times it was a bit redundant, but I found this book to be very informative regarding the DPRK. It was inspiring as well!

what an incredible thinker. I found the speech he made for journalists especially poignant. I also really liked the introductory pages which gave a good outline of pre-colonial Korea. i'm gonna look for kim il sung's (and the other dprk leaders) theoretical works because, while these speeches were great, the book was a bit redundant at times (which is to be expected... from a book of speeches @ people crying because information was repeated). great read for those unfamiliar with korean history and who wish to read about the dprk without the america yelling in your ears that the country is hell on earth

Without a doubt, one of the most boring books I’ve ever read. Constant repetition, and none of the speeches or writings really gave an in-depth analysis of the Juche idea.
