Dark Elves #3-4

Dark Elves: Salvation

Rate this book
"Dark Elves 3: Salvation"
Irin was raised among the raedjour -- dark elves bred by their goddess for sexual pleasure. When Irin was a toddler, sorcerers cast a protective spell on her to quell the lustful urges of those around her. Under that spell and the watchful eyes of her protectors, Irin has a happy, if unique childhood as a human girl among all raedjour boys.
But she's a woman now, and it's time for the spell to be lifted and for her to find out what it means to be taken and mastered by the raedjour -- and to find her truemate among them.
Savous and Radin. Apprentice and master. They've been a pair for centuries and have helped to watch over Irin her whole life. There's no doubt in either of their minds that one of them will be the first to introduce Irin into the world of sexual pleasures.
But there's more to Irin than anyone knew. Will her passion be the destruction of the lifelong bond between two men? Or the salvation of an entire race?
"Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be used, pleasured...and be the salvation of an entire race?"

"Dark Elves 4: Dissent"
Marisol and her brother are on the run. With nowhere to turn, they take their chances in the Dark Forest. Captured by the "dark denizens" they'd been warned about, they are taken into the darkness by these beautifully cruel elves and used for selfish, sexual pleasure.
No human can withstand the full force of raedjour sexual pleasures for long. Jarak and his men are dispatched to rescue Marisol and her brother, but they come too late. They save them from death, but now what are they to do with the traumatized humans?
Life among the raedjour is in upheaval andtraditions of the last four thousand cycles of seasons may not apply. And Jarak's and Marisol's attraction only complicates matter.
"Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be pleasured...nearly to death?"
Publisher's Note: The stories in this book contain explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Bondage, domination/submission, male/male sexual practices, and dubious consent.

Anyone who reads Jet Mykles knows that they are not in for a typical erotic romance. Admittedly this book will not be for everyone. There are m/m/f, f/f/m, m/m and f/m contact in this book. There are some moderate to light BDSM elements to it also, so if this bothers you, best steer clear from this one.
This is the continuation of the Dark Elves series. The Raedjour live deep in the dark enchanted forest. They were bred by their goddess for her own sexual pleasures. When she tired of them, they were forced to take women from their enchanted city and bind her to them. (there are no female-born Raedjour) They are VERY sexual creatures, because they were bred for sexual pleasure...so M/M contact is nothing to them.

Irin was found as an toddler and raised by the Raedjour community. Because there was a spell cast on her to dampen down any lustful thoughts or advances the Raedjour might have, she has been more sheltered, but had a very happy childbood. She has secretly had harbored feelings for Savous and Radin. When the spell is removed, there is no doubt they should be the ones to introduce her to her first sexual experiences. When Irin's life becomes in danger, Radin and Savous must save her and fight for her to become theirs...forever.

I really loved this book! It's not your everyday average romance/erotica/menage reading. I like the Raedjour. There world is interesting and VERY sensual. As I stated earlier...this book may not be for everyone, but I loved it...and I know there are a few of you out there that would too.:)

She's done it again folks! Yup... Jet Mykles is an amazing author! I cant believe I have to wait for the next book to come out... I LOVE these Dark Elves.

The 3rd and 4th stories in this series have a lot more character development than the first book. They really set the stage for future books with rogue elves and upheaval within the Raedjour lands.

The sex was steamier in the 1st story than the 2nd, but they were both hot and very romantic!

I dont want to wait for the next book.... Please dont make me wait!!

I am enjoying the continuation of the Dark Elves series, but Salvation and Dissent (Books 3 & 4) simply cannot compete with Taken (Book 1), so that’s why I rated this a “4”. I read this about a week ago, but I’ve been a review slacker and a little time away from Goodreads feels like a lifetime :) so I’m just now getting around to this…

SALVATION: I loved that this story heavily featured sorcerer Radin, one of my favorite dark elves! If you recall, he’s got an extreme sexual appetite and flair for fashion – purple pants with gold boots :) Irin is a human woman raised by the raedjour, and shielded with a sexual spell to control the lust of the raedjour men. When Gala and Diana, raedjour women featured in the earlier books, point out that Irin is beyond the age of sexual majority by human standards, the suppression spell is lifted and raedjour men compete to be Irin’s first lover. Radin and his apprentice, Savous, have been especially close to Irin over the years and both hope to be at the top of the list. I won’t say who gets there first, but I will say both men enjoy her together – and it’s very unique as they have mind connections – think three-way sex, where you’re talking to your partners without having to remove your lips from their kisses – FUN! Salvation’s ending was extremely bittersweet – I kept hoping it wasn’t true and we’d have a “soap opera” moment in Dissent…sadly, I was wrong. This story in the series features a lot of political strife – something I’m not accustomed to in my erotica, but it was necessary for some much needed changes in raedjour society. And yes, Taken is still the hottest book in the series thus far! Cause I love my BDSM *wink*

DISSENT: Warning this book begins with non-con/rape, and not in the sexy raedjour way we’re accustomed, too! In the previous books, captured women couldn’t resist the raedjour attraction and the magic made them willing. Plus, these woman were protected from physical harm through the raedjour change spell. In Dissent, Marisol and her brother Geriman are captured by rogue dark elves and raped repeatedly for days, even forcing the siblings to watch each other get raped. Also, the rapes are slowly killing them as humans cannot handle the sexual needs of the raedjour for extended periods of time. While its true Marisol and Geriman can’t help but enjoy the sex, something about it seemed different? More non-consensual than in the past? Hard to explain, but if you read the previous stories before this, I think this makes sense. The humans are so abused, the raedjour rescuers consider allowing them to go free, even with the humans’ knowledge about the very secretive raedjour. This is a radical change from their societal tradition….A big negative for me in Dissent was that the sex came VERY LATE…so late, I kept getting panicky with page countdowns. Marisol falls for Jarek, Commander Salin’s former squire in Taken…he’s all grown up now, and ready for a truemate of his own. Yes, the glances, touches, kisses and tastes leading up to the sex were all the more powerful & almost tortured. But I expected more actual sex~…..Loved that my favorite couple Diana & Commander Salin make many appearances, including a hot ménage – yup, she’s in heat again :) I hope we are treated to them in the next installment, too!

Thank you Daisiemae!! This is such a hot, erotic series by Jet Mykles. "Dark Elves, Salvation" is the next two books in this series and just as hot as the ones before!

Salvation - Irin is a human wonder among the Dark Elves. She was rescued as an infant and has been sheltered and hidden; her sexuality dampened by spells to shield her from the Dark Elves sexual magnetism. When the shield is lifted, she turns out to be much more than expected or hoped for...a strong mage. Unfortunately, that brings her to the attention of the Dark Elves mentally unstable king. Can her two loves protect both her and themselves? Or will one of them pay an awful price?

Dissent - Their wicked king has been defeated, but the battle cost the Dark Elves their link with their Goddess. A way of life that had lasted for thousands of years is changing, bringing unrest and strife. Now bands of rogues roam the forest, capturing humans and literally screwing them to death! Marisol and her brother are rescued by Dark Elves loyal to the new king, but the mental anguish they suffered while under the control of the rogues may have left wounds too deep to heal. Yet, how can the elves let a potential truemate female leave?

Intricate, fascinating world with WWWAAAYYYYYY hot elves created as sexual consorts...need I say more?

Contains mild spoilers.

This is the second Dark Elves book, containing stories 3 and 4: Salvation and Dissent. They're more heavily plotted than the stories in the first book, and the world of the elves takes on a darker tone as the mad king Valanth continues to kill off women. One of his sons, the sorcerer Savous, tries to stand up to him but only succeeds in missing the virgin contest of Irin, the human woman who was raised amongst the raedjour. His master Radin wins the honour, but when he discovers Irin is a mage he brings Savous in on her training - and sexual initiation. It's not long though before Valanth discovers what they're hiding and takes Irin for his own, prompting the elves to take a collective stand against him.

In Dissent, Savous has been king for 80 years but the lost contact with their Goddess has seen many raedjour leave the city and become rogue. A group of three rogues take a brother and sister captive and brutalise them. Rescued by Jarak and his small band of warriors, they're taken back to the city to heal. Now Savous must make a decision: should they be released, for the first time in the elves' history?

It's interesting to see how hard it is to juggle plot and sex - the sex tends to lose when more plot is introduced. Though the anticipation is part of the fun ;) Another hot book from Mykles, I would love to read more - there are still many more sexy elves to find truemates for!

Irin is a likable heroine. Raised among the raedjour, with a spell to
block her from being sexually conquered by the radejour males, she has never ever known desire. But she does develop strong feelings for 2 radejour men.

Savous dislikes the way his father uses his power as "king", but won't visit the goddess Rhae to seal his fate, if so chosen, as his father's successor. Radin believes his father is killing his wives and is sickened at the thought. Then a shocking twist of fate leads to him having to hide Irin from his father.

Radin wins the virgin contest. The right to take Irin's virginity. She
is in her 20's so I felt like she wasn't naive about sex just "untried". The raedjour exude sexuality and literally ooze it from thier pores, so Irin has no problem sleeping with a man she has only known as a friend her whole life.

This chapter of the series was infused with a bit more drama. The raedjour world was explored a bit more and the culture has added a little more weight to the story. Thiswas a likable additon to the Dark Elves series.

Ok, just to confess....I'm such a addict now. I read this book in one day. My poor house, none of my chores got done because I just HAD to read this one - immediately!

I like how the storyline was beefed up and the depth of the elves society and future came to the fore. The story of Irin was incredibly touching and the ending - bittersweet. I don't want to ruin it for others but I must admit I did tear up there at the not totally happy ending. Anywho...it was a great book and I'm so anxious now to see where Jet takes it now.

Dark Elves 3: Salvation was great. There were surprising twists and turns that had me wanting more. This story involves Radin, Savous, and Irin. Irin has been with the Dark Elves since she was a small child and Radin and Savous were her protectors for the most part. I liked them together and I was curious to see which one would be her truemate. The story started to get particularly good when something special was revealed about Irin. I was at the edge of my seat waiting to see how it was going to be resolved and, though saddened, I wasn't disappointed. This is an excellent series.
4.5 stars

Dark Elves 4: Dissent was fantastic and is one of the best series I've read in a long time. Marisol and her brother get kidnapped by a faction of dark elves that left the sanctuary of the city. They were used sexually and were slowly being killed before they were rescued by the dark elves that still lived in the city. It was a bit hard reading their recovery, but Mykles did a great job with it. It was interesting reading about the way the "good" dark elves were handling the dissension among their ranks. This story was well-written and I loved the romance between Marisol and Jarek. I can't wait to read the next one.

Started reading this series thinking it was gay erotica, but nope. I am not disappointed in the read though. I was so wrapped in this series I read the whole series in a week. Love it!

okay , it does have its dose of hot scenes but , for some reason it wasn´t really ... I don't know the exact word, but it just didn't keep me there at least in those scenes. I guess I was more interested in all the background story about the Raejha and Savous and it really didn't fit well to discover Radin's death , I was completely team Radin- with someone eles- after meeting him in the second book with Salin and Diana.
But I guess it was an okay book .
It would be cool to have Radin back somehow, and I'm thinking that's pretty much possible, after all this IS a story of magic and fantasy.

DARK ELVES 3 SALVATION and DARK ELVES 4 DISSENT

Two more exhilarating erotic tales bound in the one book. The second book of the series takes you through the highs and lows of the dark elvan society, and deepens the readers understanding of the culture that Jet Mykles weaves. It introduces two likeable females and another two strong men that exude sexuality. Would most readers walk into those forests alone, oh yes, in a heartbeat.

Two fast paced stories full of suspense, drama and sensually erotic love scenes. Salvation is so captivating that I couldn’t put it down.

I liked this book better than the first one. Maybe because the annoying Diana hadn´t such a prominent role and the plot started to get more interesting. But I´m still not sure I´m interested enough to read the next book in this series.
Sigh, I don´t know why I can´t get into these books, all my favorite ingredients are there, the result however is still not to my taste..

A smokin' fantasy erotica with all the parts. There is no lack of sex in the first book of this omnibus, and no lack of story in the second. A great book if you are at home; I wouldn't recommend carrying it to the office!
