A nice but very elementary book that serves as a superficial introduction to mosques and their function in Islamic communities. I cannot really say there is anything more about Islam beyond this. It is written very much from an interreligious point-of-view, as if some kind and more or less secularised Muslim lady has been briefed to put together a few pages for the white kids so they can name a few things inside the mosque and forget shortly thereafter. Nevertheless, it was an adequate read, and it was cute seeing my four-year-old react to the pictures of worshipers prostrating on the ground in prayer: "Why are they crawling on the floor, Daddy?"
