A Time to Die, A Time to Live is an extremely well written account, both poetic and articulate, of a mother who has had the unthinkable happen . . the loss of her beloved beautiful and talented young daughter.
It is Stacey's story, her mother's story and God's story tracing the events that shook Stacey's mom Nancy to the core, deeply questioning herself, her family's decisions, all the way to a deep examination of her own faith.
As we follow Nancy's account of this true story of how God and His kingdom triumph over the tragic things of a downfallen world, we begin to feel along with her as her spirit, gentle and yielded, seeks and then steps into God's redeeming truths. And finally into the very realm of God's divine and heavenly compassion, healing and freedom! As the story flows Nancy's words are at once overflowing, effusive, exuberant and triumphant.
I highly recommend this book. It causes us as readers to also examine our most deeply held convictions, leading ultimately to new levels and wide open spaces of peace and freedom. If you liked One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp, you will love this!

This was a beautiful book. I had the pleasure of meeting the author at CBA Unite. She was a very kind, lovely woman, and a fantastic writer. Her story is painful, but the evocative language she uses made me feel the presence of God. If anyone struggles with guilt, has suffered a loss, or just really appreciates poetic prose, read this book.
