Paul Nation is Emeritus Professor in Applied Linguistics at the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies (LALS) at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His specialist interests are language teaching methodology and vocabulary learning. He supervises PhD research on vocabulary. He has taught in Indonesia, Thailand, the United States, Finland and Japan.

I enjoyed this book. It poses some interesting questions to answer and helps you notice thing you might have missed otherwise. Test examples and university list in the end are a nice bonus.

Teaching & Assessing Vocabulary - một trong những môn học thay đổi mindset dạy học của mình nhiều nhất trong khoá học MA TESOL của mình. Dù trông có vẻ cũ kĩ, đây vẫn là một trong những cuốn sách mà mình nghĩ là phải đọc đối với giáo viên tiếng Anh để không bực bội vì học trò học từ vựng hoài không thuộc vì thụ đắc một từ vựng phức tạp hơn bạn nghĩ và vocabulary size không phải là vấn đề lớn đến thế.
