I had the opportunity to read this book during a time when I was wanting to learn more about the Holy Spirit and His active involvement in our lives. This book is a great mix of being very informative from a highly biblical standpoint while also including a lot of interesting, everyday life stories of people who've experienced the Holy Spirit first hand. The author repeatedly takes you back to the scriptural basis for what she writes about. She is very well studied in the subject, and no doubt, inspired by God with revelation and insights. If you are interested in learning more about how to hear God's voice and the various ways He speaks to us, read this book.

Powerful
This book is powerful, impactful and spirit lead. It truly blessed me. I literally had to slow myself down and write because of the richness of the words. Blessing multiplied to those who open their heart to the guidance of Holy Spirit and partake.

Awesome. I really enjoyed this book. It made me think differently about some things and opened my eyes to many things. Ms. Rohrer's style is simple and accessible. There were one or two points on which I didn't agree with her interpretation, but overall, an enjoyable and inspiring read.
The only downside is that it contains many scripture references so you'll need a Bible. with you, or will have to keep flipping between apps on your electronic device. It would be helpful if the scriptures were written out, even if just in a kind of glossary at the back of the book.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book, it is probably the most extensive guide on the Holy Spirit and the gifts that I have read (and I have read quite a few). It is well written, easy to understand, yet powerful. Susan writes solely from her own experiences, this is not theology or theory, it is faith in action. She addresses the most common questions about the gifts of the Holy Spirit with clarity, honesty and boldness. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is seeking a deeper and more real relationship with the Lord. Personally, I will definitely use this book as a reference guide.

Great book!
I was raised in churches that taught the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still important in today’s world, therefore I grew up with the expression of the gifts as normal. However, for years I lacked solid teaching regarding what I was seeing take place. As a result, throughout my life I have read a number of books about the Holy Spirit and the gifts, but this is absolutely my favorite. This book is written for the layman, but its clarity is a model for the ordained, as well. The author is humble, transparent, and gracious in her biblical explanations and in relaying personal experiences. I highly recommend this book to the curious and experienced alike.

This is a book (both volumes 1 & 2) that I keep going back to read, refreshing my mind; going back to it often while studying the Holy Spirit. Some books are just "keepers"! Even though I have finished reading, I list it as "Currently Reading". I think of it as a reference book and study guide

Great book on the Holy Spirit especially for "ordinary, everyday" believers. Very well written and easy to read. I like the testimonies given of the working of the Holy Spirit. I especially like that the author encourages the reader to pray for personal revelation through different sections in the book.

Such a blessing!
I don't review books at all BUT this one , I have to say, is incredible! It has bible scriptures I've never seen. That's awesome since I've been a christian since 12yrs old.

An encouraging read
The subject matter for this book is one close to the heart of many Christian believers. We want to live our lives in service to each other and of course, to God. This is the central theme of the book, and it really does encourage the reader to deepen their relationship with God, and earnestly seek His gifts. It is a well reasoned standpoint, supported by scripture references throughout. Susan Rohrer isn't claiming to be any great authority on the subject, but she does appear to have plenty of life experiences to draw on to illustrate her point. This book will no doubt be read again. I have already recommended it enthusiastically to a friend, and I do so now to you!!

The most balanced and comprehensive explanations of spiritual gifts I've encountered. I wish I had this tool 30 years ago when I was first challenged to go beyond my long taught belief system that these gifts were done and past and now only of the devil and ask God to reveal the truth to me. So much of Susan's experiences mirrored mine.
In addition, her writing style is fluid and light but not overly simplistic. She is captivating and real and her heart for serving the Kingdom shines bright.
This book is a must read for the skeptic, the seeker, or the free dancing Pentecostal. God is in these pages.

Amazing
This book really gave me a lot of insight on Holy Spirit. I have been baptized with holy spirit this was much needed because it help me to realize who holy spirit is. Thank you so much sis for making this an easy read and giving your personal testimony that gave encouragement. I can recommend this book for people who are at any stage in Christ rather a new believer or someone who has been in the faith for a while. This book is great for small groups especially with the biblical references and it very applicable. Absolutely awesome read!!!

Life changer.
God lead me to a life group class about the gift of the prophetic. I grow up afraid of such things.(speaking in tongues, prophecy, shouting in the spirit) So to prepare myself I searched for a book to help. God a!lowed me to find this one. Best book I have read to date on the Holy Spirit
I have grown to truly know and understand the person and mission of the Third person of the God Head and why Jesus said it was so important for him to come to teach us and lead us in our journey to become more like Christ. I am so happy that this sweet unpretentious wonderful layman in Christ was obedient to the calling of writing this wonderful book.

I'm so glad I found this book. Susan Rohrer writes from experience and an incredible Biblical base. While even taking on some of the more hotly debated gifts and issues, her love and relationship with God is apparent. She answers questions most do not in a way that is not slanted nor denominationally contrived, but rather straight from scripture.
A wonderful book if you are seeking to grow your faith and walk. Thank you, Susan!

It is more than what i expected
This book is so much worth than the price. Thank you so much Precious Holy Spirit for using your true friends and servants that are faithful to you. I honor you God for who you are in your friend and daughter Susan Rohrer. This book is very recommendable and helpful in both teaching of the spirit gifts and with developing a relationship with the living God. All glory to God :D

A well balanced and biblical treatment of a subject rarely covered within the "mainstream" Church denominations. I appreciated Susan's biblical and prayerful approach, her emphasis on "good order" in the application of spiritual gifts, and the proper consultation of Church Elders within the Church community.

I would think it a shame had I gone through this life without reading this book. It spoke so directly to my heart. I saw myself in its' pages over and over. And yet it revealed things to me about God that I had seen, heard, tasted, and felt but just couldn't describe.

Eye opening
I like this book because it was easy to read and understand. It is to the point. It also gives you learning lessons to read within scripture that coincides with the authors teaching. I have never quite understood who the Holy Spirit is and now I do. What a wonderful discovery that has helped me on my relationship with God and my saviour Jesus Christ.

First book of two about the Holy Spirit, and his Gifts to all who follow Jesus. Full of insight, scriptural references, and challenges. Highly recommended for all who seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit more. One of the better books I have read on this topic. Practical, prophetic and stimulating.

Encouraging
