Ben Ursa has been out of the Midnight Rodeo game for a while, recovering from a terrible head injury. When he comes back, he finds a whole new place in the pecking order, his trained horses in high demand. He also finds rodeo clown and grizzly shifter, Ozzie, who rejected him for being too young before. Now Ozzie thinks he’s just right, even if he is a little black bear. Can Ben really recover and become Ozzie’s mate, or will his family scheme to keep him “little bear”? This is a previously published title. The publisher has changed.

The third story in this wonderful series around a supernatural rodeo with werewolves, vampires, and loads of other paranormal beings, tackles the topic of finding a true home with a lover, as opposed to the home you grew up in. Ben has been hoping for Ozzie to notice him for a very long time, but it takes Ben being hurt and needing help to recover before Ozzie gets over his hesitation.
Ben, the horse trainer and a black bear, is attracted to Ozzie, but thinks he is not enough for the big grizzly to notice him. After he gets hurt badly in an accident involving hell hounds and his horses, his road to recovery is much longer than he expected. But one good thing happens: Ozzie finally shows an interest in him.
Ozzie is the rodeo’s clown (at least in summer, since he hibernates in winter) and a huge grizzly bear. He is interested in Ben but wants him to grow up a little. After the accident he can’t hold back any longer, especially when he gets suspicious about Ben’s medication and the fact that Ben is no longer able to shift. Ozzie won’t rest until he gets to the bottom of what is wrong, and I am very happy he is so persistent! Ben needs all the help he can get.
If you like the idea of a supernatural rodeo and want to explore more of the paranormal talents needed to make it run, and if you’re looking for an emotional read full of great food and naps (these are bears, after all) on top of developing love, then you will probably like this short novella.

Grizzly bears-shifters. One a huge rodeo clown, Ozzie. The other a little, injured, horse trainer, Ben. Both wanting the other, but one feels that he has been rejected. The other wants time to allow for the other to grow up. Time lapses and things just don’t seem to add up any longer. Ben has recovered from his accident or not accident. And now, Ben feels that Ozzie seems to be interested but that seems not to quite be enough for Ben.
Things around Ben are not as they seem. Ozzie because concerned. Why can’t Ben shift any longer? What was going on to change things? How can he, Ozzie, fix things with Ben? Can they create a lasting bond?
There was a bit more going on here than Ozzie and Ben not thinking the other wanted the other. I did find the bits of mystery fascinating. I also found this to be a good addition to the Midnight Rodeo series.

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I LOVED Big Bear, Little Bear! The relationship between Ben and Ozzie is loving and sexually supercharged, which just made it a joy to read. The suspense about what was going on with Ben added to the story and kept me on the edge of my seat to find out just what was going on with him. The author does a great job of dropping clues without actually giving away the punch line. The love scenes are super hot, and really make this love story in my opinion because it is obviously not about just sex from the very beginning. Just a really fun read that I am more than happy to recommend! Regina Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More Official Review @ Coffee Time Romance & More
The same day that his mate rejects him, Ben suffers a traumatic head injury. He comes back to the rodeo after healing up for several months, unable to shift. His mate, Ozzie is ready to claim him. And he also wants to help Ben regain his bear. This is a sweet, slightly angsty, love story. Ben is a gentle, kind bear with a way with horses. Ozzie is a fierce grizzly, protective and strong. A lovely tale.
A good story that could probably use another editing pass. Not that it needs more taken out, but maybe needs a few sections expanded. I don't feel like I know Ozzie. I have a pretty good sense of Ben and his background, but Ozzie is fairly one-dimensional. That said, I have a soft spot for bears and bear shifter stories, so I liked those aspects of this story.
Man my heart broke for Ben. Ozzie and him sure are nicer than I would be. There is a limit and momma definitely passed it. I can’t wait to read what’s next.
I love a bear who raises horse, yes that's right Ben, a horse trainer. This is a cute story of a supernatural rodeo featuring vampires, werewolves, and other paranormal beings. This short story has humor, sadness, and the readers will cheer for Ozzie, the rodeo's clown on the mystery on why Ben won't shifted . I like how Ben is a fighter and not let anyone or anything stands in his way. Ben showed how life can give thunderstorms, but you can away find the sun to shine on you.
