The Hope of Christ's Second Coming

Rate this book
Samuel P. Tregelles, respected nineteenth century theologian and biblical scholar, lived during the rapid growth in popularity of the "secret rapture" teaching, now refined into what we know today as the pretribulation rapture position. The Hope of Christ's Coming is his response to this position, and as someone intimately acquainted with this position's birth, his analysis should be seriously considered by all students of prophecy today.

Will strengthen all who question the PreTribulationist theory and point you to the actual truth itself! I heartily recommend it!

Great book which counters Darby's pretribulation rapture position by showing that the Scriptures consistently teach a posttribulation rapture. Tregelles was one of the early Plymouth Brethren and has been largely forgotten. His memory ought to be revived when. This impression is more deeply felt when one sees both the erudition of his work and his godly devotion to Christ and the gospel.

Phenomenal critique of the doctrine of pretribulatioism by a contemporary of J.N. Darby. Razor sharp insights and powerful exegesis from one of the formost Greek scholars of the 19th century.
