This was a sweet enjoyable romance. I love the setting of Park City, Utah - one of my very favorite places. Cam and Sage had good chemistry, both had insecurities to deal with and helped to bring out the best in each other. Story flowed well and was a fun escape.

Sage has been self conscious about her height the majority of her life. She's had an extremely hard time finding that special someone because of it. She's all but given up until she parks illegally in front of a fire hydrant and has to face the music when said hydrant is needed to put out a fire. So what happens when she comes face to face with Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome?! Sparks fly!

Cam has spent the majority of his life rescuing people from burning buildings and coaching a youth lacrosse team. He has also been doing everything he can to not fall in love. Love hurts and he just doesn't have it in him to put himself out there. But upon meeting the beautiful Sage, he starts singing a different tune. That is until tragedy strikes and has him rethinking what he was about to get himself into.

But is it too late? Has Sage already wrapped herself around his heart in such a short period of time? Can he pull away from her? Does he want to? One thing is for sure sparks will definitely fly!

Sage and Cam definitely had a rough start to their relationship. They both had things that held them back from moving forward. But circumstances beyond their control had each of them reevaluating what they wanted out of life and eventually brought them together. Gotta love HEA's! *dreamy sigh*

There were some definite swoony moments which I adored! But there were also moments that had me growling in frustration and rolling my eyes. I wanted to strangle the two of them towards the end. Haha. But all and all a super cute read! :)

I can always count on Ms. Checketts sucking me into to any of her books. They are always filled with suspense, romance, witty banter, sassy heroines and swoon worthy heroes. It's no wonder she's on my favorite authors list! ;)

And this casting... *le sigh* I. Love. It! What do you think?!

This is another book I was excited sign up to a newsletter for. A sweet romance between a fireman and a teacher. Their flirtation was hilarious on the surface, while underneath they worked through their own issues and tried to figure the other's out.

Full of Action, Romance, and Witty Banter

A great firefighter story! Rescued By Love is part of the Park City Firefighters series. Each of the books can be read independently.

This book is about the captain, Cam, and Sage. Safe meets the handsome firefighter when she parks by a fire hydrant. What follows is a sweet dance of flirting, misunderstandings, make-ups, and catastrophes.

The romance was sweet and well done. I loved the siblings in this book! Cam's sister and Sage's brother were such staunch supporters of their siblings. I hope they get their own book too.

This started well enough. Cam is the buff protector and Sage is fun loving with a side of responsibility, but the whole thing tanked for me with unresolved promises, contrived conflict and the mcs ending up lacking both common sense and any hint of emotional maturity. A little honest communication and therapy would have done wonders for them both.

Sweet quick read. Fun Park City setting. It was good seeing them get their happily ever after... especially with what they had both dealt with in their past. Not a lot of "meat" to the story but I enjoyed it.

Romance, clean
This is part of a series, but a stand alone novel. Cute quick read. Some intense fire scenes at one point. Sage and Cam had a fun attraction to each other. It was a cute read, definitely some chemistry. They both had some self-doubts, and some issues that needed to be resolved. It was nice that they both sought out advice from their siblings who seemed to be able to see their issue and help them resolve the misunderstandings that they had. They definitely had some great moments though. Loved how they were accidentally thrown together, then had the incident where they found out they had been corresponding via email for a class presentation. While there were moments that I found a little bit past the point of belief (going into the fire???), I still enjoyed the overall story, and loved the two honest hearts finding each other. They seemed like a good mix together. A cute read, and I will say that Cami Checketts has learned to tell her story so much better as a writer. He characters stand out more, and their thoughts and hearts are open for us to see and become a part of their lives in a much more realistic way.

For those, like me, who like to read a series in sequence let me give a “heads-up.” Based on publication dates "Rescued by Love" is the fourth book in the Park City Firefighter Romance series while "Two Hearts Rescue" by Daniel Banner is the third book and is even described as the third book of the series in the published write-up on Amazon. However, after reading only a short way I discovered that the story of "Rescued by Love" actually takes place BEFORE "Two Hearts Rescue." So the published sequence is in error. Fortunately, because every offering in the series can be read as stand-alone offerings, this is not a big issue. However, since many of the same characters appear in other books, your reading pleasure is enhanced if the series is read in sequence. I believe "Rescued by Love" is the best of the first four books I have read in the series. It is well written with well-developed characters and an intriguing story-line. Unexpected plot twists and turns will keep you captivated as you turn the pages. The in-depth look at the life of a firefighter is masterful. The chemistry between Sage and Cam sizzled. Cam’s demons and Sage’s challenges with being tall really enhanced the story as they overcame their perceived faults. I had not thought of the emotional toll that can be paid by a woman of stature until it was so skillfully portrayed here. I would love to see a story about Caylee (Cam’s sister) and Levi (Sage’s brother), but since neither is a firefighter, we cannot add their story to this series. Maybe Ms. Checketts can consider such a project in the future. Bottom line: I highly recommend this clean romance to any and all.

Cam and Sage drew me in with their fun banter and desire to serve those around them, especially the children. Sage's insecurities about herself even though others think she is so beautiful lead to misunderstandings with Cam who is a male. He is a true protector, but not always the best at expressing himself. I love Cami Checketts' writing style. She brings the characters to life and helps me feel what they are feeling. I also become attached to secondary characters of hers. This story is no exception. Cam's sister Caylee and Sage's bother Levi are just begging for their own story. I was thrilled to discover that their story is also in this series. While each story stands alone, it is fun to get a peek into the lives of other beloved characters from other books in the series.

Rescued By Love by Cami Checketts is a contemporary romance. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Checketts has delivered a well-written book and furnished it with outstanding characters. Cam is a captain at his fire department and coaches lacrosse to young kids. Sage is a school teacher. Their story is loaded with drama, action, humor and spice. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Cami Checketts in the future. Rescued By Love is part of the Park City Firefighter Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I've been a firefighter's wife for a really long time so to read a romance novel based on a Firefighter romance was a little weird at first but I really loved the story line! Sage and Cam have great chemistry together and I love the bits of humor throughout. Living this life isn't always an easy one but great books always make life easier. If you haven't given this series a chance you should. It will give you a glimpse on a really small scale of what this life is really all about. Plus this is Another great one by my Favorite Author!

While Rescued by Love is the fourth book in the Park City Firefighter Romance series, it can easily stand alone. The multi-authored series makes it easy to pick and choose from.

Rescued by Love is a cute, clean, quick read. There is a mix of funny and irritating moments. Sage and Cameron's friendship is off to a great start until Sage lets her insecurities get in the way. Thankfully, the story quickly moves on and all is well. This is a great escapism book with a firefighter hero and school teacher heroine.

Another sweet firefighter romance

I've enjoyed reading the books in this series. Each is a stand alone book but it's a lot more fun to see how they all connect. This was a cute story and I really liked the main characters interactions with each other and their own siblings.

Clean romances aren't really my jam, but if they're yours then this is a good one.

Cute, clean, sweet.

And narrated by Teddy Hamilton. Which is how they got me to download this in the first place.

Another enjoyable read form Cami. I enjoyed the love story, although it was a bit frustrating with the whole hot and cold through the whole book. I kept reading because well dang a hot firefighter what could be better than that. Anyway. It was also an interesting point of view with having a tall beautiful woman have insecurities the way she did. It was well written in that reguard as well because you really didn't see her until you saw her through his eyes.

Rescued by Love: Park City Firefighter Romance is by Cami Checketts. This is a really good book and one that is hard to put down. It deals with romance and dealing with demons of the past. It is set in Park City, Utah.
Captain Cameron Christian Compton was in charge of C Platoon. They were out on a wreck on I80 and Emily has squeaky toys in her boots put there by JFK, the jokester. He would have to be reprimanded later. Now they had to get a girl out of the smashed car. As they worked on getting her out, she flirted with Cam which made him uncomfortable. Having a female flirt with them was one of the trials of being a fireman. He was touched more by her Grandmother’s hug than by the girl herself. Now on to other calls.
Sage Taylor was a teacher in Park City and she enjoyed it. What she didn’t enjoy was all the teasing she got for being so tall. However, she lived life to the fullest. Today she parked in a red zone to run into the store to get some tights for her Mom. It wouldn’t take long. However, luck wasn’t on her side as a fire broke out in the restaurant next door. Her Jeep was in the fire zone. When she got outside, she saw a fireman look at her car, flood it with water, and then go fight the fire. She was livid. She hoped it wasn’t ruined. The fire was small and it was out quickly. The firefighter who flooded her car now began flirting with her. She cut him short but he kept on trying. He was interrupted by his Captain and sent on his way. Sage was immediately taken with Cam. He apologized for his man and told her the firefighter would pay for getting her Jeep cleaned out. Then, reluctantly, he left with the fire engine. He wanted more than anything to get to know her.
Would their paths cross again? When and how? Would things work out for them?

Wow, this is such a fun book! I really loved the whole premise of this one. Cam is firefighter just going about his own business, but he constantly has the women that he's working to save throwing themselves at him. And sometimes it makes him uncomfortable and even a little bit hard to do his job.

And then he meets Sage. I love the scene where they meet! Sage has gone in to the store to get her mom some tights. But there was no where to park, so she left her jeep in front of the fire hydrant. And, of course, there's a fire in the building. Sage exits the store with the rest of the shoppers only to find one of the firefighters soaking her open jeep with the water from the hydrant. And then he has the nerve to hit on her. That's when she spots Cam. Sage knows that there's no way the hot firefighter would ever want to go out with her, the Amazon schoolteacher who is a bit of a rule breaker with her bright red jeep.

This really is a fun story. I loved the feel of it, I felt just like I was in the mountains of Park City with Sage. Wind blowing through our hair as we cruised around in her jeep.

And the whole firefighter falls in love thing is really fun! I want to read each and every one of these novellas. They are perfect for an afternoon escape! They're clean and fun and just romantic!

Clean firefighter romance

He has issues and she has lots of issues! As characters, they both drove me crazy! Parking in a red zone? Constantly being offended? Going back into a burning building? Disappearing when the other person needs you? Blech! They both were pretty forgiving of the other's faults and that's what gives this four stars. There were too many conflicts for my taste and I would have been happy without a moose attack. The fire was scary! The end was happy though!

1.5 stars.

I'm debating whether or not to finish this series. I liked the first book but it's gone downhill from there. This story features yet another insecure h and an H who's afraid of love. Plus there's eavesdropping and you know that leads to nothing good. I appreciate how clean it was, with very little angst, but why couldn't the MCs just learn to communicate? Ugh.

This was my first Cami Checkets book and it certainly did not disappoint. With a well thought out plot and interesting characters I was immediately pulled in.

When you are literally just a hair under 6 feet tall a woman can have a few insecurities, but Sage Turner has more than a few. She definitely doesn't like tall jokes or being called gigantor or amazon. When she leaves her jeep parked in front of a fire hydrant for a minute Sage becomes irritated with a firefighter who drenched her jeep and his ignorant comments about her height just infuriate her more. But then she meets fire Captain, Cameron Compton, and sparks are quick to ignite. From then on it seems the two are destined to reunite but a disaster in the art class leaves several injured and fighting for their lives. Will Sage be one of them?

Captain Cameron Compton fights the demons of his childhood every day but that one event brought him to the career he loves. He just never thought it would send him into the firey depths to save someone else he loved. Determined to save and protect, Cam isn't sure he can ever let himself fall in love knowing he could lose some one close to him again.

With both having issues will these two be able to ignore the sparks that ignite when ever the other is near?

Sage and Cam

Cami Checketts is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books are full of action, some suspense, and lots of romance and Rescued By Love is no exception.
Cam is the captain of the Park City Fire Department. Sage is a 4th grade teacher of the local grade school. They meet when Sage parks her Jeep in front of a fire hydrant and one of the firemen soaks the interior with the water hose. Sage has been teased for most of her life because she is almost 6 feet tall. However, she actually has to look up at Cam, who is at least 4 inches taller than her. After speaking to Sage's class about fire safety and he realizes that the teacher is the same beautiful woman whose Jeep was parked illegally, he asks her out to dinner.
Cam has shied away from relationships ever since he lost his parents in a house fire. He can't imagine losing someone else he loved so he doesn't get involved.
The budding relationship is put to a test when a devastating fire breaks out in the grade school and Sage has to be pulled out of the burning building. Cam doesn't think he can deal with the stress.
Will this relationship work or will Sage's heart be broken?

A sweet, clean firefighter romance about fire station captain, Cameron and a tall, statuesque blonde teacher, Sage. This story revolves around these two physically beautiful people who fall for each other very quickly but have some emotional insecurities which they have to work through before they can move on. Sage is understandably extremely sensitive about her height and she has constantly had to deal with people's derogatory comments about it. She was a strong and weak character depending on the situation and I did enjoy her sassy attitude, the banter between the characters was amusing. Cam was emotionally locked away as he was scared of being vulnerable and getting hurt - he has to make a decision whether he would allow himself to take the risk, whether Sage is worth it. His character felt more developed in the book, than Sage's. This story had several protective family members which was heartwarming. The book did need an epilogue but that is probably because there is a sequel Reluctant Rescue that will tie up this story completely, though it didn't end on a cliffhanger and it can definitely be read as a standalone book. An enjoyable read.

I basically went into this book just reading the blurb. My main reason for checking this out is because I wanted to read those narrated by Teddy Hamilton as much as I could. While in the midst of listening, I was a bit surprised to find out that this book is as clean as it gets. This is my first book from the author, and I guess despite my surprising discovery, the book is okay. I love the meet-cute. I love how feisty our heroine is (her banter with one of the secondary characters is lit! I could practically feel the burn. hehehe!) However, as our MC's relationship progresses, I wasn't sure if the push and pull are too much. Like they just couldn't catch a break or something. Their insecurities almost became borderline annoying. But good thing things work out good in the end. The length of the story is also enough. It makes a good respite after reading a lengthy one. So, this series will definitely be on my radar. In fact, I think I am looking forward to reading the next one as the main characters are their siblings! Their meet-cute here is fun and cute!

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cam is a firefighter with a traumatic past who has difficulty having an emotional connection with anyone other than his sister. Sage is a school teacher who struggles with insecurities about her height.

This is a sweet, emotional, clean romance. As a fire wife, anything with a sexy firefighter draws my attention. I enjoyed the humor and playful banter. There was a little bit of heat between the characters, but nothing past first base. If you're looking for a steam, this is not the book for you. This is not my typical style, but it was a quick, enjoyable read with a HEA.

Audio: I came across this book because it was included in my audible membership AND narrated by Teddy Hamilton. My only complaint- he said "O2 stat" rather than "O2 sat" when referring to a character's oxygen saturation. This is one of my nurse pet peeves. I've never read the actual book, so I'm not sure if it was written that way in the book or just misread by Teddy.

Exciting and dramatic, this story moves along at a blistering pace. Captain Cam Compton bears the burden of leading his crew of firefighters. This gentle giant is a rock solid hero to his sister Caylee and his team of young lacrosse players. “Cam’s commanding presence towers over everything he does…” Elementary school teacher, Sage Turner adores her students, high speeds, and adventure. But her bravado masks her deep seated insecurities about her height. Her bold, brassy exterior hides her delicate, vulnerable heart. This story is fun and flirty with action, adventure, five alarm kisses, and one rouge moose rampage. Several hilarious moments ensue as Sage lives large. I appreciated the subtle faith of the characters and the reminder that often people hide their hurts deep within. “Got to indulge my wild side.”

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Not only was the audiobook narrated by one of my favorite narrators, Teddy Hamilton (who was amazing) but the characters were good. Well, when they weren't acting irrationally, that is. Sage, especially, acts recklessly and is obviously very very sensitive to her height. She's kind of mean in the very beginning which makes it a little unrealistic that someone would really like her the way Cam took to her. Then, when they finally got together, then I really liked the characters until Sage again acted irrationally. And then Cam behaved poorly. My emotions went up and down with this book and as a character driven person, that made me end up giving the book 3 stars. That said, I enjoyed listening to Teddy Hamilton's reading (I bought the audiobook because of him!) and overall, it was a sweet romance.
